I have over the years have had good service from Otis Ford. I'm ok with the premium I pay over my local service station, but the last time I was there for service I was told there is a service fee for using my ford charge card my which promotes usage by giving you money back to use at a Ford dealership, stunned to no end, I took my grievance to the service manager whom reversed the fee. My wife recently called to find out how much a 100,000 mile service was. At $2900 which is $2,100 more than our son-in-law just paid for his at his local garage in Boston with no convenience fee. So off to see the grandkids we are in a couple of weeks all paid for by the money we saved by not going to Otis Ford. read more

Had an appointment to look at a used pickup truck. I live an hour away, drive straight from work and arrived on time. Entered dealership and said what salesman I had an appointment with, was told he was with someone and could wait. I waited for almost 1 1/2 hours, the girl at the front desk by then had left for the day and I finally stopped someone. They were surprised but said I could take that truck for a ride so I agreed. Went for a quick drive and when I came back I was met by several of the salesman the moment I walked back inside. Was only then told that there was a problem, the truck had already been sold. The salesman I had appointment with said didn't know I was there. Wow. So I drove for an hour for an appointment , waited for 1 1/2 hours, took the truck for a drive and then found out the truck had been sold. They tried apologizing but didn't give me a good enough explanation how this happened. Now I have an hour drive home. At the least would have thought someone would have called me before I drove to the dealership. Apparently the salesman that said take it for a ride didn't know it was already sold? I've always heard that Otis Ford has a great reputation, my family members have bought vehicles from them, my employer buys all their trucks from them. Well I will not be going back after that experience. I cannot understand how they could have done that. Very disappointing. Zero stars. read more

$240 for an oil change on my 2003 MB CLK320! I took my car in for state inspection and they offered a "The works" oil change for $35 including rotating the tires, new filter etc, so I asked them to change the oil. When I went to pick up the car they presented me with a bill for $279, $39 for the inspection and $240 for the oil change. They charged $24 per quart for full synthetic oil which was selling at Costco for $6.40 for Mobil brand and $2.20 per quart for Kirkland brand. read more

Don't ever leave a car there by putting the keys in the overnight slot. I left a car there with a flat tire and put the keys with a note in the overnight slot. I called to approve the flat repair and also asked for General service. Two weeks later I called before going to pick it up and it was not finished and nobody called me in between. They said there was miscommunication on the approval. Meanwhile my car sat in the elements for three weeks. How a service center can leave a car unattended for three weeks is beyond me. read more

Leasing a car anywhere else on Long Island is like swimming in Amity (that's a Jaws reference.) That makes Otis Ford safe harbor for anyone who's looking for person-centric salesmanship that cuts through the shake-downs and deceit the auto industry is plagued by. The sales force was knowledgeable and accommodating, the on-the-lot inventory covered a variety of options, and more than anything - THEY HIT MY BUDGET WITH NO FUNNY BUSINESS! I am now the third member of my family who will exclusively buy our vehicles here. Thank you, Otis Ford. And a very special thank you to Tommy, who worked with me all the way through his own birthday! read more

Wish I could give them 7 stars. Best Service Department on LongIsland! Looking to buy a car I would also suggest Mark L. Great experience time and time again. They also have a great body shop if you need. You can't tell anything ever happened no matter how close you look. read more

Service department is nothing but bad attitude (and I am being very very polite). We were left with the impression that it was our fault that Ford improperly designed the rear axle of our Windstar. They even stated they were doing us a favor by making the repair. "This sure isn't OUR fault," the service manager stated. "We don't build or design them." Nice attitude for a company with Ford logos emblazoned on everything. Stay away. read more

This is one of the worst and most unpleasant experiences I have ever had with a Ford dealership. I am a business owner and have 4 Ford vehicles. I brought my F250 in for service on a Tuesday morning and was promised the vehicle back on Wednesday - I needed the mirror glass replaced, the rubber valance replaced (both very simple, not requiring work on the motor or parts) and a new starter. I received a message at the end of the day Tuesday 4:30 PM in regards to what needed to be done to my truck, but when I was able to call back the shop was closed. Called Wed morning and then told the truck would not be ready until Thursday morning because they were waiting on a new side mirror to arrive, and rudely told that it was MY FAULT because I did not get back to them right away. My fault. Verbatim. The customer. I asked them when the mirror (just the glass part) was coming in and they said they had no idea. I asked if they knew where it was coming from and could they follow up on it. No, they could not do that. No idea when to expect it and no way to find out when it would be in. Thursday they called me at 2:30PM and said that they got in the wrong part for the front of the vehicle (rubber valance - trim piece under bumper) as well as that they didn't notice my front windows were tinted and would not be able to give me a new inspection. That they would have to scrape off my current inspection sticker since I had asked them to get me a new one. I had only asked them to get me a new inspection sticker since it was already there and my time is valuable. The front windows are hardly what you would call tinted. I have not done anything to this truck since I bought it in 2012, and I have NEVER had anyone say anything about the windows in a vehicle inspection. Never had a problem. And guess what? The truck wasn't ready until today, Friday and almost $1,500.00 later. Stay away from this place - terrible, rude service and typical overcharging and difficult to work with. I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. Pathetic. I'm so angry I brought my truck there. The gentleman's name of the person who was helping me in the service dept was named JOHN TAMBURINO. Rude and unhelpful. read more

Hello. We have been dealing with this shop for about seven years. Prior to finding this dealership, we were almost always disappointed some how or another. Mostly based on issues with the people. Service is extremely important to me as I make my living in sales with my cars. Although I find Ford products to be extremely reliable, things do happen. Perhaps you are thinking of getting a car new or pre owned. Try this place. Ask for Matt or Lou. Tell them Henry sent you. They are true honest and friendly. This is a family owned business and has been at the same location for I think over 40 years. Happy Motoring. !! read more

Using the free wifi while I wait for a truck inspection.

Brought in car for service and picked up next day. Car broke down and they supposed to tow back in but after 4 days waiting, I called and was told I had a bad attitude and John hung up on me. Called Frank the service manager and was told they would refund my money for the repair and to take my business elsewhere. So I did. I went to Riverhead Ford where they couldn't have been more accommodating. They fixed my car, I'm back on the road and couldn't be more pleased. Riverhead Ford now will be servicing all our fleet. read more

I worked with Matt Margiotta to purchase a used car from Otis Ford. I heard about Otis through a family member. Matt was very patient and responsive with all my questions. I test drove different cars on two occasions. He gave me time to research the vehicles that I was interested in and explained my options clearly. This was my first time purchasing from a dealership so I was asking a lot of questions and he took the time to sit down with me and go over options. He also allowed me the time I needed to go over options for warranties they offered and different vehicles. With my work schedule it was difficult for me to get out to the dealership but Matt made sure that someone was there to assist me and worked with the times I was available. Jeff Winters and Lou were also very helpful with the process. Everyone was friendly and the dealership was clean. The used cars seemed to be in good shape. I'm also really happy with my car, I got a good deal and they followed up with me after the purchase to make sure everything was going well. read more

My husband was shopping around for a truck, and I convinced him to go to Otis Ford. From the moment we walked in, to the moment he drove away, we were treated with respect and fairness. They upheld their motto with a no pressure approach. They gave us time to think and consider our options, revisit with questions, and in the end, worked with us to make us happy and confident in our decision. Everyone always said hello as we walked in to the show room, checked on us multiple times while we were discussing options and filling out paperwork, and were extremely personable. Highly recommended. Matt and Jeff were outstanding, but the rest of the team were just as great! Thanks, Otis! read more

I had a problem with Otis Ford during my first visit to their service department. I let them know and their recovery has been unbelievable. I give 10 stars....After an accident, it was determined my car was a total loss. Unable to find a comparable car in the Tri-State area & before my claim was even settled, Tom Otis found a similar car 800 miles away. Without a deposit, on our word alone, he brought the vehicle to his dealership in Quogue within 2 days. Our settlement has been delayed for nearly 6 weeks now. Refusing a deposit to continue to hold the vehicle, Tom Otis & Matt Margiotta have been patient, and gracious beyond belief to wait until this insurance fiasco is settled. I am a customer for life! From now on, nothing but a Ford from Otis Ford! read more

In June I purchased a 2015 Ford Edge from Otis Ford and couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service I received. I worked with Jeff P. and Matt, and I can't say enough good things. They were not at all pushy and made my husband and me feel completely comfortable throughout the purchasing process. We were also extremely particular about the condition in which we wanted to receive the car (there were some minor cosmetic flaws that we wanted touched up), and they went above and beyond to ensure that all of our desires were satisfied. They certainly exceeded standard dealer protocol, and ensured me that they strive for 100% customer satisfaction 100% of the time. As I live two hours from the dealership, they even Facetimed with me prior to us picking it up in order to ensure everything was completed to our standards. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing from Otis Ford! read more

This past October, I purchased a 2013 F-150 from the Otis Ford used car department. I was satisfied with my purchase until after two months and thirty-one hundred miles, I noticed excessive, uneven wear on the front tires. My initial impression was the camber was out of tolerance; however, upon professional evaluation it was toe that was out of adjustment. It was my hope that Otis Ford would stand behind their product and realign the front end, and I would deal with the tires. Hours after leaving Otis Ford I read the repair order/ receipt of work performed and came to realize that the service director authorized the replacement of both front tires. This was well beyond my expectations. This was my first purchase from Otis Ford which was a laid back, easy going, experi- ence; not at all aggressive and pushy which has been my experience elsewhere. I will recommend Otis Ford to everyone; This is a stand up company, with a professional staff. I cannot thank them enough nor can I give them enough stars for their exemplary service. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. Mark Layburn was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond all my expectations. I just traded in 2 vehicles and visited Carl Vail my salesman whom i purchased the van that i no longer needed after one year . I was treated beyond my expectations in getting a fair price for the trade and a plan to get out of another car that i had purchased out of state that was a very bad deal.Jeffery the used car manager and Carl worked with me showing me car after car i think i test drove 5 cars and they even allowed me to take 2 of them home for the day to see if i would like them. the whole process took a week not because of them but because i couldn't decide. When i finally chose a car the finance process was quick easy no haggling i know they gave me the best price they were patient fair and honest . They never pressured me if i wanted a car great if not they assured me they would help me when i was ready no problem.
