You know I keep coming back here because my senior mom is always concerned about her Cadillac. But as I wait here Jimmy and his staff are so dang blasted cool other owners pull up as soon as they have a thought something is wrong with their vehicle and Jimmy addresses it and places his customers at ease! If your anywhere near San Leandro you should make Precision your mechanic shop!!!!

As DIY (Amazon parts type of guy), I was working on my AC system and needed to properly dispose of the freon. Called everywhere and had no luck and finally Kristen came to the rescue at Precision Auto Care. Jimmy not only offered the service, but also provided a fair fee (the guy is a riot!). After making some major repairs on my 98 Ford F150, I came back to get the AC system recharged. Working with Arturo (one of the great mechanics at the shop), turns out I had bad part from Amazon and had to get it replaced. Arturo also pointed out some other items that needed attention (Arturo is da' man! This guy knows his stuff and SUPER friendly and helpful). Jimmy (tone at top helps! Jimmy was very helpful and friendly) was gracious enough not to charge me anything and let me know do a drop in the next day to get my AC serviced. Finally, got my AC serviced up and running and had an overall great experience at Precision Auto Care. These folks know their stuff and highly recommend!

Instead of receiving a quote, I got what appeared to be an automated response telling me to "come in." The message looked scripted and didn't address the request for pricing at all. After I replied again asking for the quote Yelp indicates businesses will provide, the same scripted response was essentially copied and pasted back to me. Only after pushing further did I receive what seemed like a more direct reply stating that their insurance does not allow customer-supplied parts due to liability concerns, followed by a note that they offer a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. That explanation would have been fine if it had been stated clearly from the beginning, instead of sending automated responses that avoided the actual request. Consumer Education: When repair shops purchase parts, they typically buy them at wholesale cost and then apply their own markup in addition to the shop's labor rate. There's nothing inherently wrong with making a profit--every business should. However, when customers ask for a quote while supplying their own parts, it can reduce that margin. Based on more than 20 years in automotive retail management and sales, my personal conclusion is that some shops simply prefer not to quote jobs where their parts markup isn't included. The bigger issue here is the Yelp listing itself. Yelp allows customers to input the vehicle, describe the work needed, and press "Get a Quote." If a shop isn't willing to provide quotes--or only wants customers to come in--then that option probably shouldn't appear on their listing, because it creates a misleading expectation for consumers trying to comparison shop first.

Worse experience ever. I have been going here for at least 6 years. Once with my Buick and now with…read moremy BMW. I went to get a $110 oil change, simple right? No. Technician Samuel, replaced the filter and in the process broke my coolant hose. They then told me that Kevin(owner) would need to come and replace the hose. They had me wait and hour and a half for Kevin to arrive. As I was waiting, tech(Omar) told me this is common and happens all the time. This has never happened on my car so that did not make the situation better. I had to ask Omar multiple times when will the owner plan on getting here with no updates. Upon Kevin arriving, I ask him, "if this is so common, why don't you all have hoses on hand?." He immediately gives me attitude and tells me that "you people always harass." I say "you people?" with a look of confusion and he immediately asks as if I am bothering him because I ask him why does a customer have to wait an hour and a half for an issue they cause. In the end. He placed the hose but my coolant light is now on. Not only am I filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau but i suggest that you DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. WORSE SERVICE EVER.

They won't rip you off, very honest shop compared to other places that charge you an arm and a leg for labor costs. The boss here is a nice guy. These guys always check my tires, air filter, & all fluids. Been going here for over 2 years now and will continue to. I usually get an synthetic oil change here.
