They replaced our gas furnace with a heat pump and installed a Carrier air conditioner unit. The entire experience was professional--from the initial estimate and clear explanations to coordinating permits with the city and installation. Christian Palomino and Laki completed the installation over three days. A larger crew initially planned to finish in two days, but when part of the crew was called to another job, Christian and Laki stayed on it and still met the original timeline they promised. This was a big job with a few challenges, including drilling through our concrete foundation to create the condensate drain. Their work ethic really stood out--they even stayed until 10 pm on the final day to make sure everything was finished. They answered all my questions and took the time to show me the new venting and connections in the attic, and even pointed out some exposed electrical in the attic from old lighting installation that we should have covered. We're now just waiting on the final inspection, and based on how thoroughly everything has been handled so far, I expect that to go smoothly as well.

The HVAC unit in our attic has a condensation drain line with a short vent pipe. The drain pipe somehow got blocked under the house and backed up the water resulting in water overflowing through to vent pipe into the ceiling of the bedroom below. We asked Sam to do a service call and he told us he was too busy. So we had to hire someone else. We have a 3 zone system and one of the zones appears to have a sticking damper. Because Sam is who installed this system and his sticker says for service to call him we tried once again to get Sam to help. He never even responded. Nice guy, but too busy to follow up when you have a problem with his installations.

Michael came out to my house and walked me through the pros and cons of a heat pump HVAC. For my home, the extra money made no sense. I really do not need central AC. We then talked about a new Carrier, high-efficency furnace. That was exactly what I needed. I also opted for the Ecobee Smart, wi-fi enabled thermostat. I am extremely happy with everything. The price was right. The installation was flawless. The post-intall QA walkghrough, by Johnny, went really well. ThenI worked with the folks that checked all the boxes post-intalleation. HERS test was easy with a pass.. Today, we passed the inspection, in under 5 minute. Every person I dealt with was amiable and professiona. The office staff always very nice. Michael Calvey was a joy to talk to. Thank you to Johnny, the project manager, and the folks from HOPSTER that facilitated the post-installation test and inspectioin. From start to finish I met with Michael on February 12th. The 16th the new furnace was intalled. February 17th Johnny did the QA walkthrough.
