The barbershop popped up on my IG Explore page, but there was a woman cutting hair. That was intriguing. After reviewing the page I decided to give it a try, they do appointments and walk ins. It was conveniently located about 10mins from my house! I lucked up and scored street parking. Once in side, I was immediately greeted. I asked if they had time for a walk in she said sure and someone would be with me soon. She wasn't lying I was seated about 5mins before Chuey called me to his chair. He got me all suited in my cap and asked me what I was interested in. I did know the verbiage but I had pictures and let him know I wanted all the brown color I had cut off.. Once he seen the pictures he told me he was going to use a "2" all around and see if I liked it then we could go from there. He was friendly and he explained what he was doing and let me see in the mirror after he did everything. I feel like he didn't have to do that BUT I really appreciated it. Sometimes it's intimidating going into barbershops as a woman and not know the verbiage and some barbers don't even care to help you figure it out they just cut you however and expect you to be okay with it. After a few mirror checks we agreed on a high taper in the back and a little on my sides. He executed it PERFECTLY. I was very pleased. The shop was super clean, all the barbers were friendly. They clients all looked happy with there cuts. The cut was also a great price. I definitely recommend and do plan on returning for another cut from Chuey. read more

The place seems chill and the people working there were cool too. It's a good neighborhood spot and the price is pretty good too. Today was my 4 year old sons first time going to get a hair cut and right away when I opened the door I was greeted by a young lady in the back who was cutting hair and she asked me if I was walk in or appt, I said walk in. Came in as a walk-in didn't wait more than 3 minutes. Alex was my barber, he is a super chill guy easy to talk with. He asked me all the right questions as to what I was looking for, I even showed him a picture which usually helps the barber get a better understanding. After I told him what I wanted he proceeded to explain everything back to "double check" which I really appreciate. He was very thorough and took his time with my cut and it came out super nice. I found this spot on a whim last year and my 6yr old likes it. We've gone to other spots since but I feel this shop does a better job at my sons hair than other places and prices are reasonable. He usually hates getting his hair cut but the guys at Precise treat him like a little brother and he gets over his fear of clippers. Only thing that bugged me was witnessing one of the barbers on his phone 85% of the time while cutting some guys hair.. That's so bad. read more

I am an exclusive Yeller, and only write precise reviews based on the entire experience. Please read my pros and cons, and use your own judgement to. Pros: I only gave them 3 stars for the following. 1- they were open 2- They were the 3rd barber I had called, and had availability, and 3 they were close to my destination. Cons: I asked for a haircut and beard cleanup. They charged $35 for this service, and took forever. I don't know if I got the new girl, but she took over an hour to accomplish everything. When my normal barber goes to my house he takes 30 min or under to do the same good job. Snd it's cheaper. The room was lively with conversation of the other barbers having a good time with their clients. My barber however was in a bad mood and quiet the entire time. Okay fine, no personality. It's ok. If you go on a Friday like I did try not to sit in the back. That's where they blast the music so loud you can't even hear what your barber is saying to you. Unless you scream at them. Also, one of the barbers brought in a case of beer, which they decided to distribute to the other workers while I was still in the chair. You do what you will on your own time, but it is unprofessional to drink while the location is open. I won't be going back based on this experience but I hope you use this review to evaluate how you run things. read more

Went as a walk in for first time being in long beach and as soon as I stepped in the building I was welcomed in by pretty much everyone in the shop and as soon as I asked who was available I was blessed enough to have Alex greet me with no hesitation and with the best enthusiasm he showed me to his station and with ease, executed exactly what I was looking for in a cut. I was looking for a new barber last minute and came to this place , of course I get the girl which I'm sure was new and was already not feeling it but I gave her a chance. I like the top long and the sides tapered I showed her a pic of how I like my hair and she did everything except that. I literally told her not to take off the top but she said she wanted to "even it out" so me trusting her for free I said ok. Tell me why she took the whole top off walked out with a low fade. Needless to say she ruined my day. Will never come back here nor recommend this place. Tip: listen to what your clients want not what you think is better! I've been coming here for a little over 5 years now. Everyone is very welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. These guys make sure you feel at home when you're here. You can tell by how many frequent customers they have. Very good location. You can easily find parking on the street. They offer complementary Wi-Fi and a variety of drinks (Gatorade, water, Snapple, etc.) During the summer the AC is always on. I get my haircut by J almost once every other week. If I don't have an appointment I feel comfortable with any of the guys cutting my hair though. They're that good! Prices are good. Wait time is not too bad, but if you can make an appointment. Best day to come in I'd say is Tuesday through Thursday afternoon as it's not too busy. They also sell hair products at a reasonable price and will even show you how to properly use those products on your hair. I was diggin the vibe of this joint and everybody was working their skills with regulars coming in and all leaving satisfied. To start off I got a hair cut by the same guy Arturo(art) and I went back 2 other times hoping for a better result each time and was disappointed I normally don't leave reviews at all but his clippers had to be dirty because I got ring worm and everytime before even putting on the alcohol my skin would already be burning and I got terrible acne on the back of my neck and back of my head. Even after he only put alcohol on parts of neck like the m/f didn't care which really sets the tone for how coming back was gonna be like and I should stopped it at that. To be completely fair I haven't had a haircut from any of the other barbers there so maybe they would be better I wouldn't be able to tell you but look Arturo if you read this that was some b-s and you need to get your stuff straightened out if you still work there because no one's gonna wanna come back when you're not cleaning your tools atleast regularly. read more

So with that being said I have to stop and give honor when honor is do. My first impression of the establishment was mind blowing. The shop was immaculately. It's been a LONG time since I went to a barber to get my hair cut. Normally I visit my sister who is a hair stylist, but I decided to try something new. Decor (5): This place has an urban barbershop feel. Stadium seating in the waiting area, classic barber wheel, fluorescent lighting, television (with sports on), and artwork. Service (4): The place was really busy so we had a long wait. They were very accommodating. There was 4 of us and they took us in without an appointment. There were only three barbers in, but if you have a favorite, the wait could've been longer. We also got an opportunity to watch the haircuts walking out of there. Real impressed with their work and attention to detail. I can see why the wait was long. The barbers are high in demand. They have a lot of personality and made it a comfortable atmosphere. Cut (5): They do single blade shaves and razor cuts. The quality of the tapered fades were amazing. I got my cut by #vankombs (instagram) and he was great about making sure that I was satisfied with the progress of the cuts before moving forward. He was also very flexible about any changes or last minute requests that I made. Took my partner here and loved how they handled his hair. He is in the navy so he has to get his haircut frequently. They were so precise with his edges here, I was really impressed.
