First off, everyone greeted me as I walked through the door, every station was clean, vibes were right, and music was great. Moments later, Manny introduced himself, got me setup in his chair, asked what I wanted, and got to work. The professionalism, cancer, and warm demeanor of not only Manny, but everyone in that shop, is part of the reason I keep coming back after a little over 3 years of fierce loyalty. Other reason I keep regularly scheduling cuts with Manny is because he's the genuine article and a savant with clippers. Plus, the guy is easy to talk to. When I asked if walk-ins were accepted, I was told if I could return the following day and was simply turned away with a "sorry." I chose this place based on proximity and Yelp ratings, but there was no real flexibility when it came to walk-ins. As a local resident, I decided to try a new shop closer to home. By 3 PM, all three barbers were already booked. While it's great for the business to be fully scheduled suggesting they must provide excellent cuts it was disappointing to be turned away at the time I arrived. Wishing them well in the future.

I've been to the studio on multiple occasions to get a full weave. The hairstylist, Tanyia, is extremely professional and detailed. And, she is incredibly timely and efficient. She dyed my weave hair and it came out PERFECT. My weave hair was not left damaged at all. Tanyia cut my weave into a bob on a separate visit and it was exquisite. I recommend that if you want quality service to book with Tanyia for any weave style. Secondly, the studio lives up to its name, THE NEXT LEVEL. It is beautiful inside proving by it's cleanliness, decor, and quality customer service by ever hairstylist and barber there. read more

We had a great experience at The Next Level Barber Studio! I called ahead for my 15 year old son, and Ben was awesome enough to take us in right away. Got in the car to drive to The Boulevard when I got an email saying the appointment was canceled. He was, in fact, book up "through his other platform." So, scheduling is a hassle and they don't seem to care about returning clients and their customer service is really poor. There are too many good barber shops in Long Beach---and in MUCH better neighborhoods---to deal with a very unsophisticated scheduling policy that sorely lacks customer service. I suggest some of the barbers / barbershops up in the Bixby Knolls area of town. Your car won't get jacked while you are in the shop.
