This is the second time I've taken my 4 year old tortie kitty here to get groomed! I made the mistake of trying 3 other groomers this week (because they're a bit closer in location to my home) and they all sent her home simply because she hissed at them! However, Precious Paws is always able to quickly bathe her with no issues! They do not give up on the challenge just because of a few hisses (obviously what cat likes to get a bath that's the whole reason you take them to the groomer!) Picked up my dog with a bloody foot that they told me they had nothing to do with. Lied to me that they were trimming her nails I could see through the window. She was just standing there alone attached to the pole. No one was working on her. They never trimmed her nails. Will never go there again. Had vet bills after their negligence. It's truly unfortunate to write this because I have been taking my dogs here for years, but I will never return after my most recent experience. My dog came home visibly traumatized and in pain. The moment we got home, I noticed something was off. When I tried to pick her up, she cried out in pain, and even gentle touches around her head and neck caused her to wince. This is completely out of character for her and indicates she was definitely mistreated and hurt during her visit. She can't even go up and down the stairs right now because she's in pain. They turned my Husky into a poodle for $130.00... I like supporting local businesses. I have taken my two Huskys here a couple of times for a bath. This time, one of my huskys needed a grooming and the place we normally take her to was booked so we decided to drop her off. We asked for bath, nails and a cut for the summer. About an hour or so later we got a call that they wanted more money because they had to brush her first, then wash her, then cut her hair, they also wanted to clarify how much we wanted cut. I said normally they just cut behind the legs, behind her rear and tale and trim a bit. The woman on the phone said that they could shave her and that it would be cheaper, I said ABSOLUTELY NOT, shes a Husky, I dont want her shaved. She said it would be more work so they had to charge me more. She said that the dog has 3 inches of hair and I said its fine to cut down to 1.5 inches . They quoted me $130.00 I felt like this was high but if it was done right, then I guess.... When I picked up my dog I was devastated. The dog was shaved except her head and her tail. Even the majority of where she was shaved seems uneven. Her beautiful coat was cut down to less than half and inch. The dog looks completely ridiculous. read more

Precious paws has been our groomer for the past two and a half years, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!! Our pups always come out looking so fresh and clean. Our boy dog, Bennie, is an extremely shy pup and takes a long time to warm up to anyone. Needless to say, we were worried about sending him to a groomer, especially since he doesn't let any stranger pet him. Whenever we bring him to the groomers, he immediately wags his tail when he sees Cynthia. You can tell that everyone at this groomer (Cynthia, Chris, Maria) really cares about the dogs and enjoys what they are doing. The price for two small dogs to get groomed (haircut, bath, teeth brush, other small dog needs) is $125 for both pups. They don't take American Express, but take Visa or cash. Also, if you want to leave a tip using your card, make sure to let them know and include the tip in the total price. The parking lot gets full quickly, there is additional parking in the alley behind precious paws. Also, they are closed on Sunday. If you call when they first open, you can usually get a same day appointment. The pups are usually done within 4-ish hours (we have 2 dogs), but it can vary especially on a Saturday, the busiest day. If you are looking for a groomer that not only gives your pup an amazing cut, but more importantly truly cares about each dog, than precious paws is your place. read more

I was nervous as to how they would handle it as one of our puppies was anxious and had separation anxiety. But Cynthia was very patient with them and they were happy when we picked them up. Sweet groomers who don't like to keep your baby all day (I like that!) Most dogs don't like the groomers, but when you are dog-sitting for a friend you definitely don't want to let him feel abandoned. This place made an 8 AM appointment, then got Scrappy bathed, clipped and smelling like bubblegum in only 2 hours. $60 for the works.
