January 19th I had an MRI and January 20th I had a mammogram at BayCare Outpatient Imaging. This is…read morethe second and third visit I have entrusted BayCare Outpatient Imaging with concerning my health. I have nothing negative to say about the care I received. Coleen was the receptionist / office manager who greeted me. She was polite, helpful, and just plain sweet. She was patient with me when I forgot about new year deductibles and she had no rudeness whatsoever. I had my MRI with Leah and Karen and the ladies were caring and compassionate. Leah recognized I was cold and offered me a warm blanket. The ladies I met were professional, kind, compassionate .... nothing bad to say about them or my care., The next day, I came back for a mammogram. Spoke with Coleen again. I thanked her for being so patient with me and she said, that is what I am here for. She said that with a sincere smile. I went with Kathy to get my mammogram and she was just like the other ladies. Professional, courteous, friendly, informative, patient. I give BayCare Outpatient Imaging 10/10 stars ! Not because of the easy parking. Not because of the clean facility, but because of the people working at the facility who care for me with compassion, professionalism, and sincere kindness. Thank you all who have spoken with me over the phone and / or waited upon me at your facility. I appreciate you kindness and professionalism. Laurie A. Smith, Haines City, Florida; January, 2026.

I've been here twice. The first visit was fine. Regarding my second visit earlier this week,…read moremisinformation pertaining to my communication with the mammogram technologist was documented in my patient portal. I called and pointed it out to them to which they replied that a manager would correct it. They then updated it with additional misinformation. I called and shared this as well, was told that a manager would contact me, and I've heard nothing else. That misinformation then caused confusion with my doctor's office. I do wish for things to be documented correctly. This matters a great deal. Marcia Brevard Wynn, PhD

However, the second time coming in would be our last time. It was an absolutely awful experience right from the start. The lady in the front desk was super rude and had an unprofessional attitude towards my family and me. As we waited in the waiting room, my name was called and I wanted my family to come with me. The nurse said, "No one is allowed to accompany him." The nurse was very rude and had a chip on her shoulder. By Florida law, one can bring in a family member to accompany them to a medical room. To not bring up tension, I listened to the mean nurse. My rights were violated and I was so uncomfortable with the walk-in medical appointment. Please, do not come to Sunshine Urgent Walk-in Clinic. No star, they did not respect my family or my rights .Thank you for taking the time to read this negative review.

I arrived for an appointment and found their Tampa location facility conditions to be poorly cared…read morefor and gave the impression of a "seat-of-the-pants" operation. The receptionist took 35 minutes to get to me, while I clearly stood in front of the desk (results - I was taken back for screening 20 minutes past my scheduled time even though I showed 25 minutes early to do paperwork as requested by them and I handed the complete paperwork to her as I arrived early.) 5 other patients were helped around me, even though they were clearly after me. Courtesy is not a strong point while politeness wasn't bad. Patient privacy is NOT followed. Not a single door was closed during my visit for private discussion. Staff professionalism was seriously lacking as they openly talked about other staff and patients in front of me. I can tell you about the conditions and history of at least 3 other patients as there was no attempt to be sensitive to their medical privacy. Dr. Ackerman wasn't responsive or interested in my full, and albeit complicated, medical history before he dismissed my comments and moved on to his next patient. Needless to say he has not garnered my trust! I'll find someone else that cares enough to have a professional attitude and staff!
