Driveway, walkways and patio tear out and repour.
The job was started early October 2021 and in my opinion it was great weather to do concrete work, mild no precipitation. The concrete looked beautiful but, we have developed a couple chips on driveway along the radii of the expansion joints.
There is a low spot approximately 12" in diameter on the front porch that puddles slightly after precipitation.
When I asked for a popup drain to be relocated 8' under the front walkway that leads to the driveway, I didn't quite get 8' because the tubing that was on the popup drain was not long enough to relocate 8'. I assumed they would have the corrugated tubing and not use the 6' length tubing that was already on the popup drain. I never thought to ask if they had the tubing, my fault for assuming.
Communication is good, considering I didn't ask enough questions.
They did put in a rise to the concrete at our back patio door which does keep the water from sitting and freezing there in winter and is a safety plus.
The concrete is thicker than what was previously there.
They are super quick, they have good communication and the price was good.
I have notified Prater and Sons of the chipping issues.
We got several complements from other residents.
Prater and Sons didn't block traffic on our Cal-de-sac and were respectful to other residents trying to get out or in.
With just a couple of issues, the work is pretty and well done. read more
