This place was amazing. The energy is so light, so clear, so so so amazing. I didn't even know this kind of place existed until it popped up on my Yelp recommendations. I have never been so in love with an experience before. As an autistic person, this was the most amazing sensory experience of my life. The prices are so reasonable, and so worth it. After my first trip, I had to immediately come back the next day just to do it again. You can lay in the salt, play in it, cover your hands and feet, my clothes were covered in salt dust when I left and it made me so giddy. (You can also just lounge in their chairs if you prefer) Inhaling the salt they pump in felt incredible, Iv never breathed so deeply and clearly. I have asthma, and a heart condition, and it was so good for me. It also was a huge aid to my depression, anxiety, and grief process. I came here on my baby's birthday, my little girl who is in heaven now, and she felt close to Me here. The shop owner shared with me that many people feel called to come here with their grief (which is just love intensified) and bring photos of loved ones. I wrote some poetry in here on my solo visit, brought my favorite crystals and just let all the energy soak into me. The first visit I came with my son and husband, my son who is also autistic LOVED this experience. For a while We wrapped him in a blanket and he relaxed while I hurried his arms in the salt. He absolutely adored it. And being in there with him was such a beautiful experience for us both. He's 6. We will Be back! As often as humanly possible when we visit this area. I plan to visit more salt caves in the future but I truly don't think this location can be beat. It was absolutely beautiful inside. I was so excited to try a salt cave as I had recently heard about it from a neighbor who loved her experience, so I was delighted when Yelp invited me and a guest to experience it first hand. I wasn't quite sure what to expect or what the process was. Since other reviewers explained already, I'll skip that part and get right to the benefits. Almost immediately I felt my sinuses clear up and an overall sense of relaxation settled over me. The time went fast and afterwards we were gifted with thoughtful goody bags which contained some lovely samples from local like minded businesses. There were many ways to relax in the cave to make it fun or simply to meditate. After a 45 minute session I felt more than relaxed and even felt my sinuses clear up a bit. I had a wonderful experience with my friend at the salt cave. We wore athletic wear so our skin could best absorb the salt. We were offered soft blankets to go into the cave with to keep us comfortable. We relaxed in the chairs and slowly migrated down into the salt to do some breathing and meditation. When our session was done we drank water and felt extremely relaxed. I can tell a day later, that I am more happy and my body feels rejuvenated! We will be back again soon. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect; I'd never heard of this place before the invite to the Yelp Elite event (that's why Dani has done such a superlative job of opening us to such gems in the area), but was looking forward to exploring this as well. We arrived early (hey, what else is new with me, right?) and had ample time for Liana (the owner) to share with us how Prana Salt Cave came to be and her vision for how she hoped to serve the community with her business (dare I say it, a ministry to the stressed?). We had some tea while we waited and just explored the various products, etc. that were in the lobby, each something that not only supported Liana's goal to de-stress Wilmington, but some interesting and eclectic stuff. The gravity-free chairs were very comfortable; blankets were offered, but I felt the room temperature was perfect and so declined. It's hard to describe the room (cave) itself; the walls are decorated with some art work as well as salt tiles (Himalayn salt) as well as loose salt on the floor. A wall dispenser fed a salt mist into the room and the music piped in just added to the relaxing atmosphere. I could say more, but falling asleep once I was in the chair pretty much ended my conscious evaluation of the experience. That says bunches, however, as I walked in their with my typical load of being wired. One further note; I have tried (without success) to have the VA connect me with hyperbaric oxygen therapy for treatment of PTSD (diagnosed back in 2011 after YEARS of 'issues'), but having this place that had me not only relaxed, but asleep in minutes strikes me as a welcome aid to my journey back home. I signed up for a return visit(s) and look forward to many more sessions here. read more

I was here for a yelp elite event and thoroughly enjoyed my 1 hour session in the salt cave. It was relaxing and calming. I can't honestly say that I noticed any health benefits or could even tell you what I "experienced". But it was a beautiful space, well thought out, and I'm excited to return for maybe some yoga or other events. My experience here was absolutely life changing. It just so happened that I had the start of a migraine the morning my appointment was scheduled. I'm so glad it worked out that way because I discovered the secret to migraine relief for me! I was only inside the building, in the lobby, and I started to feel the pain ease. At the time I wrote it off as a coincidence, sometimes my pain level can rise and fall with atmospheric pressure and it was rainy that morning. However when I entered the salt cave my pain continued to ease. I meditated for a while then laid down in the salt on the floor to fully relax. By the time I left the cave I was feeling energized and my pain was completely gone. Something that has never happened in the middle of a migraine for me, usually it's at least a day of intense pain. I'm a complete believer in the benefits of salt! I did experience some mucous loosening (just recovered from covid about a month ago with a slight residual cough) and definitely felt some sinus drainage. Overall I'm very happy with my experience and wish I could come daily. read more

absolutely amazing ! i had aleah and my mom had rachel and they both exceeded our expectations !! this place is beyond relaxing , not just physically but also mentally and spiritually. all of the employees here made me feel super comfortable and at ease. it's a very very chill environment. the girls are sooo nice. the massage was perfect. they ask you for your preference of pressure as well so dont worry if you're sensitive. i've been a pitcher for years and my right shoulder is shot. aleah has made my shoulder feel like it hasn't been through 10+ years of pitching ! i can ACTUALLY move it comfortably and it doesn't hurt ! the salt cave is so so so beautiful and it smells AMAZING everywhere in this building. 1000/10 i recommend this absolutely anyone of any age. i will be coming back every time i visit wilmington p.s. my mom is STILL talking about how rachel got decades old cricks out of her neck and she feels much better and flexible and not in pain. what a great experience read more

I was excited to go tonight to try this new thing in town and I'm glad I did. I always have a little bit of trepidation when going to some kind of a spa that I'm not going to know exactly what to wear or how to behave but I didn't have that as much today because I googled it ahead of time. When I googled as to what to wear it said to dress comfortable and that you should expose your skin so that the benefits can reach the areas that you're hoping it will reach. They even suggested that you could wear a bathing suit. I did not do that and I'm glad I didn't you can just wear your street clothes and you'll be fine, if you love yoga pants this is a good place to wear your yoga pants too. The place is close to Wrightsville Beach right near Brent's Bistro just off of Wrightsville Avenue. It is a calming environment and welcoming. The owner is super sweet and ready to meet your every need. I arrived a little later than I expected, but she was still okay with it and she had our chairs ready for us, equipped with a very comfortable blanket and eye pillows. It's my first time using an eye pillow and it was quite enjoyable. You leave your belongings outside the room, so if you're not cool with that leave them in your car. You can't take in your water or your shoes, and you want to dress comfortably. The chairs are very sturdy and comfortable. You can wear socks or go in barefoot, I went in barefoot, a smidge of a warning here, if you're tenderfooted it is a little bit uncomfortable at first to walk on salt pebbles, but once you get in your chair you forget all about it. There is beautiful artwork on the ceiling and I'm going to say it's quartz on the walls, I don't really know what kind of a beautiful stone, but it's will done. It's lit very dimly, it is a quiet zone, so there are no phones, no conversation, you are there to relax and recharge. The benefits of a salt cave were new to me. But I now know that they help with allergies, sleep issues, stress, and even inflammation issues. The list is probably much longer than this but this is what I retained. The music was soothing and I was surprised when the time had passed so quickly and it was time for me to get my bearings and be able to drive home. I must have yawned 10 times in the first few minutes that I was driving home I was so relaxed and felt like I could have stayed there for the rest of the night. They offer different sessions and I think I'm going to try it again. I can only imagine that if you went with any regularity you could lower your blood pressure and the inflammation in your body, as well as help those crazy Wilmington allergies. I'm glad that Wilmington has this new opportunity for us to add to our self-care regimen. Give it a try and tell her that Annie from Yelp sent you. I'll look for your review when you go. read more
