Terrible massage and customer service. I have had never had a worse massage and when I tried to talk to the owner they were the worst about it. Their only suggestion was to try a different person next time. Their masseuse literally couldn't stop putting their fingernails into my back no matter what I said. Never had an experience like it. I visited last week for the first time and I have to say I am so impressed! They have just the one big cave room for the salt therapy but the other room is for massages and it may be smaller, but they both have 15 tons of pink Himalayan salt. I had the best nap ever as I reclined in a chair listening to soft music with a light blanket. It was hard for me to get up to leave but I had a nice chat with one of the owners named "Capt Morgan". The lobby has a lot of retail items and they have other events posted on the website and on their Facebook page. It is by appointment only so I suggest calling first unless you want to stop by in person just to have a look around they are most accomodating to give a tour. One other tip is to bring water with you as you will be extremely thirsty after your session. read more

Really guys, a Salt Cave in Wilmington. To be honest, I saw the pictures online and thought, this can't be real. So, being the yelper I am, I called a friend to explore the metropolitan salt caves of Wilmington. We attempted to book online, but there was a technical glitch on the website so we called and scheduled our time. We arrived at our scheduled time still unsure of what to expect. Like seriously, a salt cave... in Wilmington? Yes, turning left on Greenfield Street from Carolina Beach Road, will lead you to Wilmington's premier Salt Cave. It's tucked away on the first floor of a few modern shops. Entering the building you are great with large sun inviting windows and a sacred vibe. We paid for our session and took our shoes off and entered the salt cave. A literal salt cave. It was the most relaxing experience I'd had in who knows when. The lights were low the ambiance was set with soothing music. We relaxed in zero gravity chairs and were transcended into a space outside of Southeastern North Carolina. You need this. Go to this urban salt cave. BTW they also offer massages and a variety of services; but I'm just here for the cave. :) read more

My husband and I traveled over 2 hours to be turned away. The woman that greeted us at the front desk said that they had massages in progress. We told her that we traveled 2 hours and we did not mind wainting, that we did not want a massage, we wanted the salt cave experience. She said that she was booked all day and had no time for us. I asked her if I could at least look at the cave and she completely ignored me. The only thing she said is she had to leave and she would be back after 4 pm .... we told her we could come back, intending to go to lunch and come back after 4 , she said she she was booked for the day with massages. Needless to say we were disappointed since we read all the positive reviews. The energy was heavy and definitely unwelcoming, which was kind of strange considering what we read via the web page....we were so excited to experience this establishment...we left disappointed.. The front desk was not welcoming, we actually felt like we were intruding. When we vacation we frequent salt theraphy facilities and we have never experienced such unwelcoming behavior. I would like to think it was just a bad day for the person greeting us. I might add we did not have an appointment as my husband planned this day trip, but a look at the cave would have at least made me feel better about the long drive. read more

The Native Salt cave and Wellness was introduced to be by a friend and I have introduced others to it as well! I recommend visiting if you have some time. Before you even walk in the door you can sense the calmness. The seating outside is nice and shaded, it makes it easy to wait when you are a bit early. We had a reservation for my grandmothers birthday. We booked two 1 hour sessions in the salt cave, she noticed that they also did massages and requested an upgrade. It was just her and I in the salt cave so it was easy to make that arrangement. She was able to get a massage while I relaxed in the salt cave. I had an amazing experience here at the Native Salt Cave! I booked through Vagaro, which required a deposit and I paid the rest after services. I booked the couples massage and there was a slight hiccup. I received a call a few days before my appointment that there wasn't a masseuse during the time I booked. The lady said me and my partner would have to go separately or book another time. Since he wouldn't be in town I told her I that wasn't an option and we wanted to do the couples massage. She said she'd figure something out and call back. So, she calls me back and lets me know we can still come in for our appointment but and hour later and a masseuse would stay and hour later to accommodate our couples massage! I'm not real sure what happened with the scheduling, but I thought this was a great recovery on their part and was very pleased. The location was nice with side street parking and a bar within walking distance. The decor was very nice and they have a shop with a bunch of salt themed items (Himalayan shot glasses, salt scrubs etc). We filled out paperwork pinpointing our most needed areas. During the massage my masseuse knee just the right spots to get! You do get undressed to your comfort level (everything came off for me except my panties). They also have a salt diffuser and the music is calming and relaxing. 10/10 recommend! read more

I have been to a lot of salt spas and a lot of spas in general, and this is the NICEST salt spa I ever been to! There are two rooms, a smaller treatment room and a larger salt room. Both are stunning. I got a sinus massage, and the smaller treatment room is just stunning. The ground is filled with salts so you walk on it and the bed is in the middle. The bed is SOOOOOOO COMFY and the perfect warmth. My therapist was just perfection. She got to so many spots so MANY of my other massages missed. She was very very kind and good. This place was amazing! I've been to a couple of salt caves when I lived at home in Miami, but never one as big as this one. They also had lots of Himalayan salt products available in the front to buy. We were greeted, treated warmly, and my 45 experience (nap) was just great, especially since the rook was dim and there were night sky lights around. The blankets were soft too. Symptoms were extremely mild, no fever, started as a scratchy throat, became a sore throat with very mild congestion, no loss of taste or smell; over in about 12 days. I then experienced a relapse of mild chest congelation and cough on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. My doctor gave me 5 days of prednisone and some Rx cough medicine. I became very frustrated that the congestion and cough would simply not go away although I was not contagious and never had a fever or any aches and pains beyond the mild couch. This place is absolutely amazing! My sister just moved to the area and I was out for a visit for her birthday. The team at Native Salt Cave and Wellness are fantastic. It's the most unique massage setting I think I've ever encountered. With lower back challenges, I've had hundreds of massages, and while I've seldom had a truly "bad" massage, there are an elite few massage therapists that rise to the level of expertise as Andrea does at Native Salt. She is an absolute master at her craft. She begins each session with an analysis of how you're feeling and what might be troubling you. Then she lays out the plan for the massage. She uses heating blankets, stones, cupping, whatever is needed to bring maximum relief and comfort. She's attentive to the pressure she's using to make sure you're comfortable and not in pain. She doesn't just rub your muscles using some mechanical, left leg, right leg, left arm, right arm routine. She feels what's going on in your different muscles and adapts as she goes. The only issue you're going to have after your massage with Andrea is ever having to go to someone else. It's like flying first class and then have to go back to a middle seat in coach!
