I'm glad to say I've found it here. The studio is light and airy, the teachers are creative and welcoming, and the classes are somewhat unique. A few questions I couldn't find answers to online before I started visiting the studio: -the studio is heated in the cooler months (though they have an awesome garage door that they open during the summer for some natural heat and humidity) -there are restrooms -there are no showers -there are no lockers (but there are cubbies) -to sign up for a monthly unlimited pass, you need to go in person as it's considered a contract

After that they seemed to have a good selection of $5 classes. The person at the front desk explained the studio- easy check in via touch screens- and asked if we had done hot yoga before. Our instructor again asked if the students were familiar with Bikram and explained the class. While she wasn't hands on she clearly explained and demonstrated poses. The 75 minute class was balanced and a challenge. We flowed for about 45 minutes, moved into balancing postures and then our cool down. I really liked how she let us know how the current posture would lead into one two or three movements away. We felt welcome and now have a yoga studio to call home when in Wilmington.

Customer service was not so helpful with check in on the computer screen for black card members. The front desk lady assumed I knew how to check in when the Planet Fitness in another state does not use that method to schedule a hydromassage etc. . I docked off a star due to the customer service. I loved how the gym's format was for cardio equipment and different workout centers. There was a lot of space and multiple attached weight workout machines with no wait time. The recumbent bicycles are more updated in my local Planet Fitness, yet they were better than the ones in the first Planet Fitness I tried in Wilmington. The cons: Not many cons Not the most up to date machinery and most of the attached weight machines didn't count reps Customer Service not so helpful.

Me and my mom were waiting, and it made it hard to complete a workout efficiently. I understand resting between sets, but this went well beyond that and felt inconsiderate. It would really help if staff more actively enforced basic gym etiquette, especially during busier times. Sharing equipment and keeping phone use reasonable would make a big difference for everyone. Hopefully this improves, because otherwise the gym has a lot of potential. Would recommend going to the other one on Market Street in Ogden. A lot nicer there.

Let me count the ways: 1) Professional, educated coaches who keep the workouts fresh, and adapt to needs, capabilities, and limitations. 2) The #BFPFamily attitude- a super-supportive attitude from all the members regardless of the time of day. 3) Workouts that challenge all the muscle groups and help you be your best self. Weights, bands, balls, sleds, kettle bells, dynamic movement, body weight work, racks, ropes, rings, and yes, games! You will challenge yourself in ways you don't expect. 4) Special programming to help you with nutrition, lifestyle, and healthy choices to improve your quality of life. Subsequently, I put my membership on hold and eventually quit. Same thing happened to a friend of mine who also worked out there. As a former gym owner, I find this unacceptable. **All gyms owe its athletes a duty of care when on their property. Love the gym, but don't feel inclined to go back.

I think my favorite part about Burn is feeling part of a diverse group of men and women at a variety of fitness levels. The positivity and encouragement has kept me going back. My two favorite instructors are the yoga teacher and Jensen on the camp coaches. Jensen is wonderful because she is attentive to making sure we have correct form and modifying if necessary. After all the different workouts I have tried, Burn is unique, hard and transforming. So excited and proud of how strong I have become and more conscious of the food I am eating. During my first month as a member there was a billing discrepancy about the military discount. I messaged the business on Facebook and they were quick to respond although the problem was not immediately resolved, as soon as the owner, Monica, got involved everything was seamless. I appreciated that the major listened and address my concerns. I have loved being able to recommend this place to friends and family.

I was coming off significant back issues and was hungry to get back into shape. I don't like "bro" gyms, and cardio was never my favorite either so I bounced around different places for a couple of months before a good friend recommended I check out the Lumina gym. In a matter of days, I was hooked. The 9Round workout is different from anything I had experienced before. You start with a one-on-one workout with a trainer to get oriented with the program and the stations. Almost immediately, you realize that the three-minute "rounds" go by extremely quickly - the martial-arts-style movements keep it super engaging, and the session is over before you know it. Again, I knew this was for me almost right away. I was clumsy and uncomfortable for a while, but the spirit of the trainers and the other members is very supportive - we're all learning new stuff every day, and we all sweat and grunt and look a little funny at times while we muscle through the workouts. It's a very fun vibe - a little bit Rocky, a little bit Karate Kid (1984), and just a hint of The Matrix. I know kung fu. I was very busy career wise for my first year at the gym, but I tried to make it in 4-5 days per week. Something that the 9Round marketing doesn't convey is the immense stress reduction you get from their workouts. Whatever is gnawing at you at the end of the day melts away after 30 minutes of jumping rope, smacking around a speed bag and running through a trainer drill. Although the program will encourage you to stay "in the yellow" on your heart-rate monitor, I found that the therapy value I get "in the red" was more profound than yoga, meditation, and well... actual therapy combined. I was losing weight, increasing stamina and feeling bloody fantastic. About ten months ago, my wife got jealous of all the fun I was having, and she started joining me for daily workouts. She got the plot even faster than I did and was hooked just as much. I was a little defensive of my guy time in the beginning, but surprisingly, this place is totally wired for couples. We have a blast competing in weekly challenges as well as in trying to embarrass the trainers with our weird sense of humor... All of the members we've met here are friendly, approachable and totally in the zone! Although you're in close proximity, each station feels private - everyone is in their own headspace and their own struggle. The subtext of camaraderie is very cool. All ages, all abilities, we all go all in. This has been a year of big changes for us. It's not totally relevant to this review, but we have had multiple hard losses in our immediate family. At times, everything felt upside down, but the gym was always there for us. After a while, we started going twice per day - once in the morning to get our heads right for the day, and once after work to bring the stress levels back down. I completely credit 9Round for a lot of healing that's happened. Sure, the workout is phenomenal, and you get lots of feelings out on the heavy bag rounds. But the best asset 9Round has going for it is the extraordinary trainers. Every one of the professional trainers we work with at 9Round is knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. They meet you where you are on the workout side and help you to advance and get stronger. On top of that, they are also some of the kindest, friendliest people we've met in Wilmington. There has never been a bad day at the office they can't make better. We consider them our friends as well as our fitness coaches. These folks work hard every day, and we appreciate it very much. I'm in the best shape I've been in since my 20's. For realsies. My diet is probably a B- at best, but I'm down 20 pounds and 10 points of body fat. My back problems are negligible now. This is not an infomercial! Get yourself into the gym, do three or four workouts, and see for yourself if I'm exaggerating. *fist bump*

She was fully aware of my limitations and we worked well for several classes, Alltho she never remembered what hip was bad. During my last class, my hamstring was severely injured due to a exercise I should never have been instructed to do with my current hip problems. She told me the springs were new and tight and I'm sure that's what injured me. It was too much and she should have known this. My Ortho and 2 other teachers said they would have never let me do the move that injured me with my hip in this condition. I told her about my injury and she was indifferent. 2 months later as she would not refund my 1 remaining package class, I booked a spot. As I walked up the stairs I felt a flood of anxiety come over me and I expressed this to Rhonda. She proceeded to tell me that I was not injured in her class, that I was fine when I left, and she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. I knew something happened in that class, I felt it but didn't realize the severity until the next day when I couldn't walk due to the pain. I missed a week of work and have been in PT for 6 weeks. This has been a nightmare all due to her negligence. I was happy to leave and loose my $70 as I had PTSD the moment I laid eyes on her.
