I had a bit of a stressful week and figured it was time to have a massage. Now I am no massage expert, and honestly, this was only my second one in my life... however, I can tell you I will be going back monthly. Making the reservation was very easy. You just go onto their website and select the type of massage or experience you are looking for. You can choose a specific person or any, and pick your time. They do book up, however, I was lucky and made an appointment the day before. If you are looking for specific times though, I would try to go at least a week, sometimes two weeks in advance. When you arrive, you walk right into their waiting room which is very calming. Their are signs that tell you to silence your phone, and wait for someone to come grab you. Once you go back, there are multiple rooms. The rooms themselves are also very calming and they have heated tables for your massage. They ask you various questions about pressure, any allergies, types of scents, etc and then they get right into it. Overall, this was everything I needed and more. I love how close it is to my house, the ease of booking, and how comfortable they make you feel. Don't go here. My massage therapist has always been wonderful, but their customer service is beyond horrible. I had an appointment this morning that I couldn't make due to a medical issue. Got a call from them asking me why I didn't show up, which is totally understandable When I tried to explain and apologize to the lady and tell her to just charge my card for the missed appointment she got very pissed off and basically hung up on me while I was in the middle of trying to explain why I couldn't be there. Excuse my language, but she was a real bitch. Took a time out. Then went to their website to send a message about what a bad experience I had. When you click on 'send a message' it takes you to a page saying they don't accept messages. So I searched on the internet for their phone number (which isn't on there website) and gave them a call to let them know they may not have the best customer service person making follow-up calls. And I got the same lady! I guess they only have one person answering calls. We talked for about a minute before she went back to her old routine, how she had to hang up on me because 'her' therapist had been waiting for me for 15 minutes and she needed to get in touch with someone to see if they would take my spot, both horrible lies since I told her earlier I'd pay for the missed appointment. Any way, I eventually told her thanks and my new mission in life was going to be destroying this place on social media. So here's my first attempt to do that! read more

This was my first appointment at the Healing Hippie. I received a relaxation massage from Noel on a very cold December afternoon. The room and table were warm and cozy. Noel provided the requested amount of pressure and seemed to know where to spend more time on areas that needed some extra work. The massage included aromatherapy and hot stones which enhanced the massage wonderfully. I left the massage feeling deeply relaxed. I was visiting town for a small vacation and found this gem down the road from my rental. Prior to COVID, I was doing massage therapy every month or so, which had dramatically reduced my migraines and osteoarthritic pain. In COVID world, it seemed unsafe and I hadn't been in a while. Given the positive reviews here, and the level of pain I was having in my neck, I figured I would give it a shot. It was easy enough to schedule the appointment online, and when I arrived, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the COVID measures in place. My therapist was great - she asked for specific history of treatment and preferences for massage styles. She REALLY got in there and loosened up so much - I was riding my post-massage relaxed high for three days. Definitely needed an epsom salt bath after this one! I'd return here in a heartbeat if I'm in the area again. read more

Lea Morales was my massage therapist for this first time visit to Healing Hippie. To say her technique was phenomenal would be an understatement. She was extremely knowledgeable and her movements were somehow seamless. I was also pleased to find out that they have state of the art equipment even down to the basics. For example, the massage table was more ergonomically correct than any I've experienced, which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this experience to anyone. read more

I feel a massage with someone new is like a job interview. I am not going to say too much because I want you to sell your services to me. Olivia is great for deep tissue- almost too good. Not so much on relaxation. You definitely need to guide her on the pressure not to hurt you. There's a fine line on deep tissue hurting vs deep relaxation- it takes finesse and years of practice. Alemetris gave me the BEST upper back and neck face up massage I have EVER had. Then proceeded to have me go face down and utilized cupping, a scraper and relaxation techniques. She's my new therapist- hands down! read more

I had mentioned at the first massage that I had an issue with my left shoulder and was also doing physical therapy. She did research for my dx and went above an beyond Next massage using the massage gun and maneuvers that have increased my range of motion. I am pretty sure 5 stars aren't enough for Kristi and her wonderful business. I went to a donation based yoga session on the lawn at healing hippie over Veterans Day weekend and realized they did massage as well! Today I went in for a 90min therapeutic massage and reiki session with Kristi. My massage was wonderful and she tailored it to my specific body needs and provided a wonderful environment for relaxation. After a luxurious massage we settled in for reiki. I felt so much energy flowing it was like I was on fire and I could feel my pulse throughout my entire body. It was such a wonderful experience and I can't recommend Kristi enough!!! If you need some you time and to get balanced in your life don't walk, RUN to see Kristi and her amazing staff. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Healing Hippie and their staff particularly Almetris. This was my first time here & she was incredible. She went above & beyond to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. She checked on me throughout the massage to ensure I was okay. Prices are beyond reasonable. 1 hour session for $88. I haven't had a massage since moving here in 2016 so knew I needed one because I was waking up with severe neck pain and limited movement of my head (hazards of working on a computer daily). One day as I was driving home I noticed Kristi's sign for Yoga and Massage. I scheduled my first appointment via her website (which by the way is super easy and convenient). I was so impressed with Kristi's friendliness and her knowledge. My massage was wonderful, the movement limitations in my neck and arm which were addressed completely. I finished with a few minutes of Reiki which further relaxed my mind and spirit. I have been back several times since that first visit and will continue to care for my health with Kristi's assistance! read more

While visiting the Wilmington area, I was in dyer need of a therapeutic massage. Healing hippie responded quickly, was extremely friendly and accommodating. But lets talk about my hour and a half massage w/ Tracy...we started our session with her sitting down with me & discussing my needs etc.. I never felt more comfortable and at ease before getting a massage. Honestly, the majority of masseuse(because they're on a time schedule) don't take the time out to REALLY understand your needs and wants. To top off, the massage was absolutely terrific, therapeutic, everything I needed it to be & more! By far, best I ever had! You must try Tracy at healing hippie!!
