I stumbled upon Monaco Spa after researching businesses offering couples massages on Groupon. I purchased their 90 Minute package which included a 60 minute massage and a 30 minute oxygen facial. The business was located in a small complex consisting of a handful of other businesses, nonetheless when we arrived it was quiet, clean and peaceful. We were greeted by our masseuse (I requested a male, and she requested a female). They offered us comfortable slippers and water while we filled out our intake form. Shortly after we were escorted to the room. The couples massage was an intimate experience as we got to share a room on separate beds and enjoy it together. If I had to choose anything that was less than satisfactory, I would have appreciated the Hot Stone portion of the massage to be more in depth, it seemed a bit rushed. My girlfriend's only critique was that unlike my masseuse, hers was a lot less communicative. A few times during the massage she felt surprised with abrupt changes in her routine. Overall the experience was very pleasant, and we would definitely recommend Monaco Spa. We hope to go again sometime in the future, and plan to express our suggestions to bring the overall rating from a 4 star experience to a 5 star experience.

Right away I could tell the masseuse was in a hurry (I have had dozens for massages in my life..so you learn) and then suddenly there was a knock on the door- "from the boss" which as it turned out was her way of saying the massage was over- the PROBLEM is, I made an appointment for a full hour- not a minute less! and the massage was over because I was sandwiched between the man before me and the man after- so bad for me, bad for the customers after me, bad for the masseuse, and bad for business! In addition to all this nonsense, I was overcharged ($10.00) for the short service with a masseuse that was clearly tired and stressed because management is running the spa like a Denny's restaurant- get them in- get them out! Lastly, the manager clearly has little to no concern as to the quality of fair/agreed upon delivery of the massage as agreed. There are massage salons all over town- never would I return.

It's been a week since her appointment, and she still talks about it almost every day. Seeing her so happy and relaxed truly meant so much to me and my family. Haruna's skills are exceptional. She was able to assess and work through many of the knots and tension in my mother's neck and shoulders with incredible expertise and care. My mother told me it was the first time she had met someone who was both graceful and gentle, yet incredibly strong at the same time. Haruna truly has a gift.
