Dear Yelp....
I first came to Practice because I was having back spasms so bad that I would wake up in the middle of the night and thought yoga was just going to force me to stretch. I walked in one evening and took Melanie Freeman's class. I immediately signed up for a membership. Her class is incredibly fun, challenging, and when I left I felt like I had electricity running through my veins. I seriously felt like a superhero or something. It doesn't feel like she's just walking you through a curriculum but like she's sharing her own beautifully developed practice with you, and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
No Ms Freeman, it is OUR absolute pleasure to practice with you.
Rey's class is full of insight with an amazing flow. He is obviously very passionate about his practice and pays attention to small details that make a huge overall difference. He will incorporate things like holding a pose for a set time, and it makes you see adjustments that you should make for your own body. He has shown me so many little tweaks that I find myself moving with more fluidity and have a much more fulfilling practice.
Shawn's class is mindful and serene, but very challenging. He creates an environment that allows you to focus your movement at a deliberate pace, and will have you leaving with the most beautiful natural high. You can walk into his class with a tornado in your head and walk out without a care in the world.
Staci's classes are really fun Dynamic, and I'm not sure what I would do if I couldn't start my week off with her Monday night class. She's really warm, welcoming and funny, and even when it's crowded it seems like she's able to still pay attention to everybody in class. It seems like she's able to help you hit every point of tension, work every muscle and improve every time you're there. Plus her flow is always growing and changing so it's fresh & new every time.
Marnie is just next level. Her classes run the gamut of physically challenging to peaceful and serene at the same time. Add-a-pose to remove your adipose, and guided meditations to remove your stress. She'll make you laugh so hard you'll forget if your day sucked, and always has something new to show you that you didn't realize you needed. Every one of her classes is a unique experience, and her practice never seems like a routine. She's like a goldmine of knowledge for growth and improvement.
I didn't leave any of the other instructors out for any reason other than I haven't really been able to take their classes yet, but I'm sure if they are here, they're incredible.
The studio is clean with plenty of parking, and it's very easy to get to (I figured I should add some logistical stuff in there too). read more
