I was awake but the extraction happened so fast I didn't get a chance to react. Dr. Kalman is so gentle and I love his bed side manners. Dana was very patient and I appreciate her looking out for me especially since I'm nervous Nelly. I felt no pain other than a little soreness and a tad swelling but otherwise I lived another day. My choice of pain meds when needed was, Advil Dual..you can find them on Amazon. They reacted better to my body and not make me nauseous or dizzy. Otherwise everything else is great. I would definitely recommend anybody to get their tooth extracted by this facility especially with Dr. Kalman. Thank you again!

Location: the clinic is along Woodhaven Blvd. The clinic is huge and clean. I felt like this is new facility cause its very clean and well maintained. I got street parking cause there is a lot of residential areas nearby. Checkin: You have to check in on the desk, I made apppointment by phone so it was easy to checkin. I have to wait for like an hour to be called for my procedure. Employee: Dr. Cardo is very professional, explains well the condition and treatments. He will show you to the monitor the teeth that has problem, the treatment and the after care. Again, I didn't experience any pain during procedure which is great. The employees are well known and informative about the case. They will give you health teaching before you leave. My only concern is that during your procedure the door is widely open, so people might see what they are doing to your mouth. I'm not sure if that's the protocol on the clinic but it's not bad to have a little privacy specially with dental procedures. Definitely will come back here for future treatments! Dr. Cardo helped me remove my impacted wisdom tooth.

I was referred to Queensboro Oral Surgery & Associates by my dentist for a consultation about…read morereplacing a tooth I had extracted. I've been putting off getting an implant for a while because I wanted to carefully weigh my options, especially since implants can be expensive. I finally decided to schedule a consultation, and the process was very easy. The receptionist took my insurance information over the phone and scheduled me for the next available appointment. On the day of my visit, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They took a panoramic X-ray and thoroughly explained the implant procedure, what to expect during surgery, the healing process, and the long-term benefits of replacing the missing tooth. Since I already know that missing a tooth can cause surrounding teeth to shift, I appreciated how informative they were about preventing future dental issues. I was also very upfront about being nervous. I've had root canals, wisdom teeth extractions, fillings, and other dental procedures over the years, and dental work has always made me anxious. The staff was kind, patient, and reassuring, even though this visit was only a consultation. They explained that local anesthesia would be included with the procedure, while IV sedation would be an additional out-of-pocket expense since insurance doesn't cover it. Before I left, the secretary came over to my chair to discuss my insurance benefits. She explained that my primary insurance would cover 50% and my secondary insurance would cover the remaining 50%, which led me to believe the procedure would essentially be covered in full, aside from any non-covered expenses like sedation. Because of that, I felt comfortable waiting for the prior authorizations before making my final decision. A short time later, I received an email from my primary insurance showing what they approved, and it listed that I would still be responsible for $1,117.50. I wasn't overly concerned at first because I assumed my secondary insurance authorization was still being processed and would cover the remaining balance, just as I had been told during my consultation. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because of what happened afterward. When I called the office to ask about the secondary insurance authorization, I was surprised to learn it had never been submitted. Instead of acknowledging the oversight or apologizing for the delay, I was simply told they would process it and that it would take about two more weeks. That was disappointing because I had specifically explained that I wasn't comfortable scheduling surgery until I knew exactly what my financial responsibility would be. I don't think patients should have to call back to make sure paperwork that was promised is actually being completed. At this point, I still won't schedule the implant until I know exactly what my out-of-pocket costs will be. Overall, my consultation experience was excellent. The oral surgeon and staff I interacted with during my visit were professional, informative, compassionate, and made me feel at ease. My only complaint is the lack of follow-through with my insurance paperwork, which unfortunately delayed my treatment. I hope this was simply an isolated oversight because my experience in the office itself was otherwise very positive.

At LIC, they explained they did not have the specific materials needed to address my implant issue. However, the doctor there was warm, professional, and genuinely tried to help me. I was specifically told that the Forest Hills location would be able to assist. I was in the Forest Hills office for about three minutes. I came in with loose upper crowns from a dental implant procedure I had done in Turkey. Dr. Schlesinger walked in, refused to shake my hand, and stood at a distance. He did not perform an examination. He did not turn on a light, did not touch my crowns, and did not assess the area. He asked me to open my mouth briefly, and without physically examining the crowns, he stated that I should go back to Turkey or wherever I had the procedure done and have them fix it because he did not know. He then walked out. There was no clinical assessment and no attempt to evaluate the issue. At the 365 Dental Forest Hills location, the dental assistant, a woman with dark hair, glasses, and a ponytail, was present during this interaction and appeared visibly uncomfortable as it unfolded. I took the instruction literally and flew back to Turkey. When I arrived, I was informed they could not assist because the manufacturer of the implant components is based in Israel and Turkey has severed ties. As a result, I am now pursuing treatment with ClearChoice to replace the crowns and possibly the implants. I have been a patient with 365 Dental for about six years. This experience at the Forest Hills location was unacceptable. After this interaction with Dr. Schlesinger, I will not be returning.

My Timeline December…read more2024 My dentist's office submitted a new referral for me, and my dental insurance approved it. January 2025 I entered my information on Flushing Oral Surgery's website to schedule an appointment. Lin responded and scheduled me for the first week of March. March 2025 The day before my appointment with Dr. Li, I asked the first oral surgeon's office to email me the panoramic x-ray so I could forward it to Lin. I met with Dr. Li for a second opinion on my wisdom tooth extraction. I asked thorough questions to compare notes. At the time, I trusted Dr. Li and felt confident in his care. Dr. Li recommended the bone graft, and the dental assistant mentioned the out-of-pocket cost. He gave me pamphlets and pre-operative instructions. I called my dental insurance to expedite the pre-authorization and received approval two days later. I emailed the approval letter to Lin. Flushing Oral Surgery called to move up my surgery, which was originally scheduled for the last week of March. My mom accompanied me to my surgery today. I finally had my wisdom tooth extracted, and a huge weight was lifted. Thanks, Lin! Thanks, Dr. Paul Chin-Fan Li! Thanks, Flushing Oral Surgery!

I had a very disappointing experience with this office regarding my wisdom teeth removal insurance…read morerequest. I visited the office a few weeks ago and was told they would submit the request to my insurance and that I should wait about three weeks. During that time, I followed up multiple times and was repeatedly told that the request had already been submitted, even though the office could not provide a clear proof that anything had actually been sent. I later called my insurance company directly, and they told me they had never received any request from this office. After I informed the office of this, they said they would resend it before closing. I checked with my insurance again the next day, and insurance still had no record of receiving anything. This caused unnecessary delay in my treatment and wasted several weeks of my time. The most concerning part was the lack of clear communication and the inability to provide proof of submission while repeatedly telling me it had been submitted. For patients in New York who experience similar issues with a dentist or dental office, complaints about professional misconduct can be filed with the New York State Education Department Office of Professional Discipline, also known as NYSED OPD (download complaint form through their website). NYC 311 can also direct patients to the appropriate complaint process. Update: Based on my conversation with your office this morning, they now stated that the insurance request was submitted on 05/26 and said they would send me a screenshot showing that it was sent. However, this is still confusing because when I previously followed up about a week ago, one assistant told me she could not see any record of the submission, while I was still told that the request had been sent, your office stated that the assistant who told me she could not see any record of the submission was newly hired. I understand that new staff may still be learning office procedures. However, that does not resolve my concern. Until now, my insurance company has told me they have no record of receiving the request. I am willing to resolve this professionally, but the issue remains the same: conflicting information, lack of clear documentation, and delay in treatment. BTW, I really appreciate your super fast reply on my google review, I hope the actual insurance issue can be handled just as quickly and clearly. UPDATE: Thank you for your super fast Google review response. I understand that insurance authorization can involve third-party systems and processing timelines. However, my concern is that I was repeatedly told the request had been submitted, while my insurance told me they had no record of receiving it. I was also given conflicting information by the office, including being told that one assistant could not see any record of the submission, and later being told that the assistant was newly hired. I understand that new staff may make mistakes. However, from a patient's perspective, the office is still responsible for providing accurate status updates, clear records, and giving proof of submission when needed. Blaming third-party system or new staff doesn't resolve the issue. The issue remains that there was conflicting communication, lack of clear documentation at the time. In addition, I want to clarify that it is not that I do not want to contact your office directly. I had to call the office more than 40 times also send emails before I was finally able to reach someone. When the call was answered, I was told that the office only has one assistant answering calls and that the office is busy, that does not excuse the lack of communication, the difficulty reaching the office, or the conflicting information. From my experience, leaving a Google review seemed to be the fastest way to get a response from your office. I do appreciate the prompt response here, but I wish the same level of communication and urgency had been provided through the normal patient communication channels before this issue became public.
