Not sure yet, im on fence... i think generally staff is friendly but definitely not to the level of professionals I've observed in other salons. It has room to improve for sure. My new hair colorist seems nice enough but therés a hit or miss or lack in enthusiasm, almost uninvested tone in it. For example, my prior visit, I came home with color staîns still on my neck, ears and around face perimeters. Tells me she did not wash off the colors and the blow dry and styling was probably the worst hair day i had, es no bueno especially you pay extra for them. Yet, she applies color well despite leaving my scalp visibly tainted for her pushing my hair smashed down at the top of me head rather than lifting them sideways so the sections are neatly stacked or stand up like other professional colorists I had previously. During this visit she asked if I want a drink, i said water but it never came. Her lack if attention and unenthused ´tude were disappointing. I was charged a $200+ for a no show fee, despite being hospitalized for several weeks during the time I "missed my appointment". Reception told me, 'well we sent out a text message and that's our policy..." I offered to present my hospital documents, they refused and they didn't believe me. They asked me to call their home office which I did SEVERAL times to explain the situation. They never called me back, despite being told they would. I had to call their salon again, and was told "we spoke to the home office, and we won't offer a refund." I understand a no show fee is required to respect the stylists' time however, being hospitalized is a valid reason to miss a hair appointment. Also, I was never granted the courtesy of speaking to their "home office manager". Not looking for sympathy, but a little compassion and understanding goes a long way... especially when there's a medical reason involved. read more

I made an appointment with Daphne based on reviews and was pleasantly pleased with the outcome for my mother's hair (she is 90). I was extremely surprised when the receptionist said that Olivia could speak with me right away. Not only did she speak with me, but due to a cancellation, immediately went to work to do a color correction on my hair. I can't express how relieved and grateful I was that Olivia went the extra mile to make my hair look great again so I no longer felt awful about the mess my hair was in. Fast forward 4 months... Lots of pros and cons here. First I have never gotten better hair cuts or hair anything than here. They really know what they're doing and do it well. I never had to worry how it would turn out and always left happy. They also have nice chairs when they shampoo you that vibrate so it gives your body a little massage while that's going on which feels really nice and then after they shampoo your hair the stylist also gives you a scalp massage which also feels great. So once you leave the shampoo station you're a gooey mess of relaxation. The cons: There is a bit of a too cool for school vibe going on and who needs that when you are the customer. However its not so oppressive that you want to leave. Just noticeable. Second the prices aren't listed and this place is VERY expensive. Whoever gave it two $$ must get their hair cut in Hollywood because I have never paid so much for haircuts etc and that is unfortunately why I cant go there anymore. Last, as someone noted, for some reason you can't put tips on your credit card so you have to remember to bring enough cash. I tried giving them an actual chance and see if they at least cut hair good. I made the apt. Had to cancel twice due to a pink eye infection, I can get a doctor's note to prove it. I finally was able to book for Friday, June 10, 5:45pm. I even replied yes to the confirmation text. Apparently they left a voicemail yesterday which for some reason did not make it through my phone until after I left home for the apt. Once I connected to cellular data (vs just wifi). I already paid for a babysitter. Told them the situation, that I just wanted a quick cut with layers but they could not fit me in. I wish their text confirmation would be updated when they need to cancel vs just a voicemail that can get lost easily. Very sad at their lack of care. Not worth trying it. read more

Susanna did a fantastic job with dyeing my hair blonde! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Overall, the experience was well worth the time and money. I was the only male in the salon and she mentioned there haven't been that many others, but if there was any lack of experience it was not noticeable whatsoever. I have a natural very dark brown in my hair so Susanna bleached it and then toned it to a darker, more dirty blonde. It looked so natural that I ended up going back to re-do my roots and was just as satisfied. I had an excellent experience, and enjoyed my summer blonde for a pretty inexpensive price. I had no idea where to find a salon in Manassas and after some bad luck (La Femme Salon) ended up turning to Yelp. I decided on PR at Partners and am really glad I did. My stylist was Kayleigh and she was absolutely fantastic. Spoke with me for almost 10 minutes about my hair routine and what I wanted out of a hair cut and what would work with my kind of hair. I really appreciated that! The shampoo was fantastic (massage chairs!) and I took advantage of one of the treatments they were pushing, because it had been awhile since I had done anything at all to my hair and it needed some attention. The constant attempts to sell me something, both by the shampooer and my stylist were a little annoying, but they weren't crazy about it and I just didn't end up buying anything they were selling. I had a really great hair cut at an excellent price at the end of the appointment and I'll definitely go back. Salon was incredibly clean, staff was dressed professionally, and everyone was friendly. The receptionist was a little disinterested...more interested in chatting about his plans that night with a coworker than engaging in any conversation with me while I waited, but that's ok. My mom is a staunch advocate of Miram's abilities- that's all I need to know! My brother and mom have been going here for years. I went to Carlo for a cheaper version of what my mom has done. It was not lacking for quality. He advised me on shampoos to use, to try a shine treatment (which I did), how to style my hair with my minimal time and effort approach, and a good cut for my schedule (which I declined but will keep in mind for the future). The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and they care about getting you the style you want. I love that they also give you a nice scalp massage and cater it to either relaxing or stimulating! As someone who has extreme anxiety when it comes to having my hair done (thanks to a couple traumatic experiences) I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I had a color correction and trim done by Emily who was an excellent stylist. She took the time to listen, understand, give her thoughts and suggestions all with a smile on her face. For the first time in a long time I felt like someone ACTUALLY listened to what I wanted instead of just being another head of hair in the chair. Two part review - Facial & Hair Facial: Katelin provided me with the best facial I have received to date. Not only was she kind and courteous, she took the time to answer my questions and provide me with honest advice. She knows her stuff! My skin feels much softer, brighter, and smoother. She didn't try to up-sell me or push products into my hands like the Red Door Spa did, but instead showed me what she used and what she recommended for my skin type. I have milia up around my eyes and she was very gentle with the extractions. She did such a great job that I'm planning to return in 3 weeks for another :-) The same night I got my hair done from Emily. I came in with a blonde ombre which I had admittedly done myself, and she transformed what I was bored of into something absolutely stunning. I originally told her "brown" but she had some better ideas that would add more character to my hair. I left with a chocolate brown on top with golden and warm brown tones throughout - multi-dimensional, not-super drastic ombre which I am absolutely in love with. She was super personable and I felt like I had known her for 10 years. I have never been loyal to one salon or stylist/esthetician but I think I found my go-to girls here. This was my first experience with this salon, and I have to say that I was well pleased. My stylist was Katie. She took a lot of time to talk about my hair with me before we got started and was able to recommend various products that would work for my hair type. That said, there was absolutely no pressure sale at the checkout counter, so I really appreciated that. It is a salon as well as a school, so there are many apprentices who assist the stylists. Three people worked on me at some point during the appointment. The scalp massage was fabulous, and I also really enjoyed the hair-washing. That's truly one of life's simple pleasures. Unfortunately, I have horribly tangled hair, so it took quite a while to get all the knots out, and my stylist had another client come in whom she helped while I was being brushed out. Katie listened to my lifestyle needs and personal requests about maintaining as much of the length as possible, while still cleaning up all the broken and frizzed-out ends. I am pleased with my cut and will be sure to return after a few months. In my opinion, my hair was a little over-dried from being diffused for 20 minutes by a trainee, but over-all that's not a big concern. When you go, be sure to bring cash for your tip because they can't put it on credit or debit cards anymore. Definitely go online and print a coupon. You can get $10 off your first visit. Another note of warning: the pricing is tiered based on the experience of the stylist, so be careful and know what you're getting. I paid $35 ($45 minus the $10 discount), and I believe this is on the low end of what you can spend for a basic wash, cut, and style here. My very first Brazilian wax was a Sugar Wax at PR at Partners Spa in Manassas. It was a little painful but the result were amazing. The hair took almost a month to start to grow back and it was very smooth. The second and third time I had a Brazilian wax I did not do Sugar Waxing. BIG Mistake!!!! It was more painful and the results were not the same. The hair grew back faster, it was not smooth and it actually burned me in two spots. I have gone back to Sugar Waxing and will only go to PR at Partners Spa. My last wax was just as amazing as the first. Sugaring is by far much better than regular Brazilian waxing. Omg i qas devistated but she made wverything better with my fresh short as hell but super cute cut. To preface this review I have virgin hair that is dark brown to black. If I had the option to give zero stars I would. I came in asking for a honey blonde hair color. And I left with a second degree chemical burn and irritation all over the scalp. Aside from the medical harm the session caused me, i was left with a terrible bleach job. As stated before I asked for a honey blonde and I received platinum white hair next to my chemical burns and platinum roots with orange slightly brassy hair pieces as well as some having a purple tone. This is a pretty nifty salon -- definitely the best in Manassas -- that I'd recommend to anyone. That goes double for my stylist, Katie. I spent a long time trying to find a good salon in Manassas, and finally chose PR at Partners because it was the only place in town with a number of solid yelp reviews. I was a little apprehensive after calling to make my appointment, though, since the receptionist I talked to kept telling me that "everyone is equally good at everything" (let's be honest, that's usually a huge red flag). I chose Katie; she had a good mention on Yelp and excellent reviews on the website, as well as a reasonable price ($45). The salon experience is great. You fill out a pretty detailed questionnaire about your shampoo habits, bad salon experiences, and the type of look you prefer. When I sat down in the chair, Katie went through the questionnaire with me, and really talked to me about what works best with my (thick, wavy) hair. She even brought out a binder of celebrity photos to make sure we were on the same page about "face framing layers". Katie suggested that she dry-cut my hair, which is unusual, especially at this price range. After an amazing shampoo (the assistant herself is a great masseuse, you have the choice between a 'rejuvenating' or 'relaxing' massage, the shampoo chairs massage your back), Katie gave me a blow-out and one of the best cuts I've ever had. Like I said, she dry-cut my thick, wavy hair. One thing I really appreciated was that she cut the bare minimum of what I'd asked for, stopped, and consulted me again to see if I wanted to go farther. I did, and the final result was perfect. Seriously, for $45, my cut is amazing. Seriously, if you're thinking about PR at Partners, go to Katie. Great results. read more

I was so excited and in need of my hair being done before the holiday. Experienced a terrible family emergency this morning and notified the receptionist I was running a bit behind. She informed me my appointment would need to be rescheduled if I was more than 15 minutes late. My appointment was at 1 which would give me until 1:15 to arrive. I sprinted through the door at 1:16 with tears rolling down my face from what I was going through from earlier and was turned away. The receptionist offered me a chance to add toner to my hair which was not something I needed. I appreciated the offer but feel quite disappointed that 60 seconds could not be looked past, especially seeing how distraught I was about the emergency that had made me late. I was looking forward to being a new client at this salon but do not think I will be returning. read more

She did exactly what I asked and made sure not to cut it shorter than I liked, as many know this tends to happen at hair salons. I found this place by searching for salons that sold Kerastase products, my favorite hair product of all! I just moved to the Manassas area and decided it was about time for my bi-annual haircut. I had gone to a small town salon back in January and decided that the humidity didn't give me enough frizziness and went for a perm which went horribly wrong. I knew I'd come to the best salon in town when the hair washing chairs reclined back and massaged my back while getting my hair washed and scalp massaged! Katie was my stylist and I explained to her what had happened to my hair. I knew she wouldn't be able to completely fix my hair without shaving it all off, but she did a great job putting strategic layers in my hair so the curls in the back bounced more than they did. She also talked me through methods for creating the luscious waves I set out to achieve by getting the perm. I restocked my Kerastase product and set up an appointment for the Kerastase treatment 4 days later. The Kerastase treatment is done by the technicians and Tessa took care of this service. Tessa is very friendly and I really enjoyed talking with her and learning about great places to eat out in the area. The Kerastase treatment is totally worth it! My hair went from dry and dull to soft and shiny! It only lasts 4-6 weeks, but I'm looking forward to being back. I may end up breaking my usualy bi-annual haircut and start making trims a regular occurance! I think the price is well worth it, and it isn't outrageous if you're looking for a nice salon, great haircut, and friendly atmosphere! Since I tend to only make it to a salon twice a year, I'm willing to spend the money! I wouldn't want you to get a botched cheap haircut, and you won't need to worry about that here! read more

I walked out of this hair salon feeling humiliated & with tears in my eyes. The hair stylist flat out refused to do my hair. My hair does have damage at the ends & I even told her I'd cut off 2-3 inches like she suggested I do if that meant she would color my hair & she still told me absolutely not. Even going as far as saying "I wouldn't color your hair until we have you a bob haircut." I have never had a stylist ever refuse me service in my life. I called 2 weeks prior to my appointment to make an appointment for eye brow waxing and a hair cut. When I arrived and checked in at 11:40 for my 11:45 appointment, I was told by the receptionist that Katie would be right with me. Katie came, met with me and got things started. 15 minutes or so into my appointment the waxer came over and told Katie that she should have taken me first but that she'd take me after my cut. I told Katie that I wondered about that (in terms of which I was having done first), but since I was never told which appointment was "first" when I booked or the names of either professional, I simply went with who the receptionist told me to go with when I checked in. Katie was nice and said that the receptionist was new but that I could simply get it done afterward. After my cut, only about 15 minutes later or so, Katie went in the back and came out to tell me that I would need to wait 30 minutes or so to have my eyebrows waxed. What?!?! How do I make an appointment two weeks in advance and then have to sit and wait (with my son) for 30 minutes? That doesn't make sense, what is the point of an appointment? I didn't have time to sit around and wait because we had another appointment that day, so I ended up having to get in my car and call around, finally finding that Hair Cuttery across the parking lot would take me right then. Obviously it wasn't the same quality BUT at least they didn't schedule an appointment and then not honor it... I would never be able to refer a friend because I wouldn't want them having the same thing happen to them. There is no reason why someone should make an appointment at a salon and then be told to wait 30 minutes. (My haircut was good, it was a simple cut and Katie respected the fact that I didn't want extra products so she didn't try to get me to buy any and I really appreciated that as I can't stand when someone keeps pressuring you to buy things you don't want or need.) I've had the same highlights in my hair for over a decade. I've explained how to do this to dozens and dozens of hair stylists, and she couldn't comprehend her basic colors. She wanted to argue with me about low lights vs high lights. If I wanted low lights I would have said that ... I wanted to have to shades of blond both lighter than my natural color therefore two highlights She seemed angry and put-off that she had to work today. My highlights are blotchy, even after I asked her to do my roots again. Originally she did not highlight any hair an inch from my forehead. My hair looked like leopard print and isn't the white-based blonde I ask for several times. the color she picked was orange... i looked like an orange leopard it was awful. This was the sloppiest work I've ever had done on my hair. Her service was incompetent and rude. Thankfully my husband talked me into calling and complaining to get it fixed. They set me up the next day with another Amber who has been at the salon for nearly a decade compared to the new Amber. When I went in everyone was very professional. They did not make excuses for the girl that messed up my hair but they didn't linger on the botched job either. My new stylist literally painted my hair strip by strip and made it look amazing. She took care not to damage my hair and did all of this for free. I now go to her when I need my hair done. As far as the other girl ... I saw her doing some other girls hair and it looked just as botched as mine ... Management should not let her do highlights or something... read more

I used to go for waxing a PR at Partners - but I will not go anymore. My first experience was great, it was a little on the expensive side, but being close to home, it was worth it. Their waxing is great, although I don't really notice any difference in regrowth between strip/hot wax and sugaring wax. My problem is their customer service. I always feel like I've intruded on some 'secret club' that I am not a member of. Then I went to make an appointment to get waxing done - they didn't have very many appointments available for the next week, but found one that worked for me, and booked it. About 2 hours later I get a call saying that the girl who I was booked with was going away that week so wouldn't be available. Why did they not know that when I booked? So I book for another time with another person at another time - and then get a call a few hours later saying that she would not be able to do the service (she had a chiropractor appointment) and could I find ANOTHER time to have my waxing done. That was it. I'm done. I am of the opinion that if you have an appointment booked a few days out, that you do the leg-work and find someone to take my appointment because you have an appointment - not make me find a third time to get an over-priced service that I got somewhere else for cheaper. read more
