PPM Solar - Solar panels - Solar Installation Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

Outstanding Company ! Frank and Derick were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and friendly. They cleaned and inspected my panels, checked my Tesla powerwall and Enphase control systems and made sure everything was good to go for our upcoming hurricane season! Eden was outstanding in handling my many calls about their service since the company that did my installation went out of business and many more are headed that way due to the cancellation of the Solar Credit program at the end of the year. I am so grateful to have found this wonderful team to keep the Sunlight Shining in my precious home! read more

From my initial contact to completion, the process was smooth and enjoyable. Thomas displayed both friendliness and professionalism, providing just the right amount of information tailored to my existing knowledge of solar power and financing options. In contrast to five other companies I considered, Thomas never employed hard sales tactics. He collaborated seamlessly with my roofing company, Worthmann, to ensure that my roof met the requirements for installing 28 solar panels (11.2kw system). Throughout the design and installation process, PPM kept me well informed. The crew demonstrated professionalism, friendliness, efficiency, and responsibility. After 20 days of operation, the system has been producing 150-200% of the power I require. I anticipate that it will prove to be the perfect solution once summer arrives and my old AC starts running. I was also able to keep my tree, which another company insisted on removing (my solar panels still have around 70% sun exposure). Overall, I love this small local company! read more

Requested diagnosis and repair of solar backup system previously installed by PPM. Technicians arrived and noted they had never seen one of the components PPM had installed and they'd have to call manufacturer (SMA). After call, they informed us WE would have to get all the batteries charged up before they could do any diagnosis and they would have to come back (for another trip charge), to work with SMA to diagnose. VIrtually did nothing for the money spent. Contacted PPM to get price on replacement batteries and was told $20,000 to put in latest technology instead of replacing existing batteries. No alternative offered... frustrated to say the least. read more

PPM did our solar array a couple of years ago as part of the Solar Coop here in Alachua County. The whole experience went smoothly and the installation looks and works great. Everyone was very professional and communicated with us during the entire project. Thinking about adding a few more panels if we go with an EV in the future. read more

Updating my review of PPM as they have made an effort to resolve the operational issues that led me to my original review. While these changes cannot mitigate the service I received, they will benefit their future customers. They get points for that. read more

PPM Solar installed my roof-based solar system in the fall of 2020. I have had it up and running for well over a year and during this period my solar system has supplied 100% of my homes electricity needs, which includes a heated pool and spa and an electric car. In fact, I have had surplus power that I was able to get a credit back from FPL at the end of the year. The PPM folks who installed my solar system were conscientious, thorough, considerate, and extremely professional. Mark answered all my questions, and there were many, happily and patiently and offered me insightful feedback on the best systems available and my best options for getting the best system at the best price. In the end, I went with REC panels and Enphase microinverters. I liked the system so much that I bought stock in Enphase. I would highly recommend getting a solar system. I got a wonderful tax credit and PPM was able to connect me with the Clean Energy Credit Union, which financed my system at a very competitive interest rate. All in all, I would say do your homework and research because I did, and I found that PPM Solar offered me the best price on the best system and the entire process was seamless. I think if you are serious about installing a solar, then a call to PPM would be very prudent, and I know that you will be happy that you did. read more

They were reasonable in price and everyone involved was friendly and professional. I have had no problems with my 7.8 K system

Very professional installation and knowledgeable people. The project turned out well and I am happy with the finished product.

After being overwhelmed and amazed at having such a good price and product package compared to all the competitors in the area, I was then amazed at the great customer service and attention to detail PPM provided. All the way through the process from sales, engineering, installation to commissioning they were thorough and informative. I am confident in their ability as a company to do solar right, and have no doubt going forward that if I choose to expand my system or move, they are going to be the ones I call to help. Thank you PPM, you do a great job! read more

From start to finish, PPM was a perfect fit for our PV project in The Villages Florida. The sales team was accurate in their presentation and answered all questions I had. They recommended SunPower high efficiency panels and we are very pleased with their performance. The installation crews were on time, worked diligently (on very hot days) and cleaned up daily. The office manager did a great job with communication to inspectors and finally the power company to ensure the project moved along well. Lastly, we are over producing compared to the estimate we received during our sales visit. Come by and take a look! read more

Jason & Alex with Power Production Management are outstanding. You will not be disappointed with their Solar Panels OR the on-going relationship you will develop with them personally. Their company, PPM, has an incredible Staff with Customer Service being their utmost priority. We had a residential FIT unit installed in Gainesville FL, in early 2011 and could not be happier with the result. It is now 2014 and we have been incredibly impressed with the responsiveness and assistance we have received from PPM. From the smallest detail as in cleaning the solar panels during the pesky pollen season to the (seemingly) stressful aspect of dealing with IRS forms, Jason & Alex and the PPM Staff are supportive and make every aspect seamless and stress-less. PPM is a very engaging, energetic and trust-worthy company! read more

So, you've decided to reduce your carbon footprint and reduce your energy costs (perhaps not in that order) by investing in, or at least checking out solar panels (let's face it, most HOAs will not allow you to install a wind farm so solar is really the only way to go.) This is a big investment so you want to get it right. Trying to pick the right solar company can be confusing. Unless you have someone you trust to recommend a firm, you're left to searching through a myriad of sites online that in some cases have dubious reviews. Even scheduling home visits with various companies can leave you undecided. Talking to salesmen can be misleading because, hey, they're trying to sell you something. At this point I took a step back. I decided to look for the best Solar Panel and work from there. This search lead me to "SunPower" panels. These are without a doubt THE best residential panels available on the market today. Best warranty, best power production, smallest footprint, best longevity (least degradation) and just plain best quality. Don't trust my say so, check out Consumer Reports - they have SunPower listed head and shoulders above the rest for years now! So how do I get a Sunpower system installed? Well, it turns out that Sunpower only allows approved installation companies for each area of the country. They must be trained and vetted to install Sunpower products. In Jacksonville Florida, where I live, that company is Power Production Management. Armed with this knowledge I checked out PPM and found that they had an impeccable reputation, great online reviews, great BBB rating AND, as I said, they are the preferred installer for the panels I wanted. Power Production Management did not disappoint. Right from the initial visit I could see the standard of professionalism I expected. The gentleman they sent was polite, informed, thorough, and made no wild promises. He was more of a "sales engineer" than a "salesman". I was "sold". The installers started a few months later and they did a great job. They had that same professional pride that resulted in a project that was neat and clean with everything perfectly straight and level. They took their time to make sure everything was perfect, right down to painting the outdoor conduits to match my house. The system has been up and running for over a year now. I'm saving money and I feel good about my choice environmentally. The monitoring system is fabulous and I can even check it out on my phone when I'm away from home. I'm still patting myself on the back for my choice of Power Production Management and Sunpower panels. You can't go wrong making the same choice. read more

When I started my research on solar panels I found that Sun Power makes the highest quality and most efficient panels in the business. At the time Power Production Management is the only company in the area that sells and installs this panel so I got a quote from them. I also got 2 other quotes from local companies that sell other panels of comparable output and found that PPM is competitive in its pricing and went with them. The installation went well and PPM sent installers who were very experienced with many years in the business and they did a great job. If you want the best then go with Sun Power panels from PPM. read more

Power Production Management installed a 10kW solar FIT system for me. I was so pleased with them and with the solar performance, that the following year they added a further 6kW of Net Metering for me. They also provided a 1kW system for my pond aerator. Their engineering is faultless, their office staff handle the permitting & paperwork with courtesy & efficiency, and their installers are second to none. They all make sure they go the extra mile to ensure that the customer is 110% satisfied with the system. GRU now pay me every month instead of the other way around! I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending them. read more
