So the minute we walked in we were accosted by this smartass hostess. My Mother In Law (the…read moresweetest woman in the world btw) asked if we could be seated near the windows. This woman proceeded to make fun of her for asking and made a joke about "people with Tourette's" asking stupid questions because there were plenty of empty tables.... "As you can see in front of you, the whole place is windows".... And she just laughed and laughed. Our server was a lovely young man and the service was great. When the hostess came and delivered my husbands pizza, she asked if everything was good. He asked for a plate since she just set the whole pie in front of him. She got an attitude and repeated his request back to him "you need a plate?" "Yes". "A plate. You need a plate" "yes. For my pizza" She leaves and comes back with a plate and (I can't even make this up) shoves the plate into his hand. When he said thank you she just walked away and said "uh huh". She was having a wonderful time over at her own table however. We heard all about her French/Portuguese heritage and all number of things. Bummer she was such a poor representation of this restaurant because the food was top notch.

I absolutely loved their Seafood Fra Diavolo with their house made pasta! So good! Service was great. Very friendly staff. Ambiance is relaxed with indoor and outdoor options. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

We loved this place so much that we stopped back a second time for carryout on our drive back to…read moreBoston! We first wandered in on a cold, rainy afternoon and were immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and everywhere we looked, steaming plates of comfort food were making their way to happy diners. The cod Reuben with sweet potato fries was outstanding, and the clam chowder was exceptional. In fact, after trying chowder at six different places during our trip, my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite by far. The shepherd's pie looked incredible as it passed our table, but we'll have to save that for next time. The only real downside is the limited parking, but it's a small trade-off for such a wonderful spot. If you're in the area, don't miss this hidden gem!

We chose this restaurant largely because of its 4.5-star rating, even passing up a few waterfront…read morerestaurants with beautiful views but slightly lower ratings. Unfortunately, we left pretty confused about where the 4.5 stars are coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming. We had a booth, although it was oddly high and uncomfortable for me at 5'3" because my feet could barely reach the ledge. Service was pleasant, but after we ordered, no one really checked in on us. Our table tried quite a bit: the Reuben, classic New England cod, another cod and clam dish, clam chowder, and a pretzel. The clam chowder was probably the highlight. It had good flavor, although I would have loved more actual clams. The wine was mediocre. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was about a 5/10 for us. Nothing was terrible, but most of it was surprisingly bland and just not memorable. My cod and clam dish was especially disappointing. It came with four very large clams, but one was completely closed and should never have made it onto the plate. The cod, potatoes, and other ingredients were sitting in a pool of cream sauce, yet somehow the dish still tasted underseasoned. It felt more like something I could have steamed and put together myself at home for a simple, healthy weeknight dinner rather than something I'd be excited to order at a restaurant. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, because the consistently high ratings made us expect much more. We specifically chose this place based on those reviews instead of going somewhere with a view and slightly lower ratings. In the end, we got neither the view nor particularly good food, which was disappointing. The kind staff and clam chowder were the bright spots, but based on our meal, I personally wouldn't rate the overall experience anywhere near 4.5 stars.
