Don't do it. Bought a $600 dollar PowerSmart 80V 26" electric mower two years ago. The plastic handle with the controls broke from fatigue. It's an 80 pound mower and takes a grunt to turn it. Called, waited 30 minutes on hold. I provided the part numbers needed to fix the handle and they don't make them anymore. Terrible support for their product. Never again. read more

I bought a 40v cordless snowblower through Amazon. Powersmart claimed it would do alot of things it clearly wouldn't. So I left an honest review on Amazon. I received a message from them asking me to contact them via email which I did they sent me this email. Dear customer, thank you for your contact. We are willing to offer you a compensation of 30 dollars. But may I ask if you would like to change your evaluation and rate it as a five-star positive review? If you are willing to assist me, I would be very grateful. This was my response. Dear Cassie powersmartusa customer service, Thank you for your email and for acknowledging my previous contact. I must express my deep disappointment and, frankly, my shock at the nature of your proposal. Offering monetary compensation in direct exchange for changing my honest negative review to a five-star positive one is not only ethically problematic but also appears to contravene Amazon's policies on review manipulation and incentivized feedback. My original review was based solely on my genuine experience with the product and the issues I encountered. Reviews are a critical way for consumers to share factual information with others, and I take that responsibility seriously. I do not, under any circumstances, alter reviews in exchange for compensation, discounts, refunds, or any other incentive--whether $30 or any other amount. I find this solicitation highly inappropriate and am appalled that a company would make such a request. As a result, I have reported this interaction to Amazon's Seller Performance team for investigation, as it raises serious concerns about compliance with their Community Guidelines and review integrity standards. Please be advised that I will not be purchasing any additional PowerSmart brand products in the future as this has left me feeling like customer satisfaction doesn't matter to powersmart only reviews, with that said, if customers aren't satisfied all your going to have is negative reviews. One star. Would NOT recommend! I purchased the PowerSmart 21 inch 212cc Single Stage Gas Snow Blower. It arrived over a week late and was missing multiple screws and knobs that are needed to tighten the snow shoot. After piecing it together with my own hardware, I turned it on and used it for less than 5 feet in very light, powdery snow on my driveway. Almost immediately, a plastic piece underneath near the blade broke off, making the machine unusable. I've attempted to contact PowerSmart customer support multiple times over the past 10 days via email and phone, but have received no response from a human, only automated messages. I am deeply frustrated, and there has been no customer support or resolution so far. Only purchase from PowerSmart if you are prepared for a major headache with no help from customer support. read more

Dealing with this with a generator absolute garbage customer service I've spent over 30 minutes in que today waiting to speak to someone. This is after their shitty generator died on me a few months ago they said they'd replace it I spent close to 200 dollars shipping it to them just for them to ghost me. All my emails are unreturned WTF. And this is after weeks of us trying to resolve the matter. Absolute $h*! company. read more

Don't buy anything from power smart!!!! I bought a snowblower December 5 last year. It hasn't worked since we got it. Nobody from their support is replying! Might as well be a lawn ornament at this point. And I can't get back my money. TRASH!!!! DO NOT BUY POWER SMART EQUIPMENT!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! read more

Bought a snowblower in January 2025, brand new from my local Walmart. It's now November 2025 and it's leaking oil from the bottom of the engine. Contacted the manufacturer through email, the response times were fine, and they won't uphold the warranty because, and I quote, "Since this unit was bought through clearance, the warranty would not apply" read more

Last August we purchased a hedge trimmer from Powersmart used it once. By August of this year (2025) the trimmer has stopped working. Calls to the two numbers listed on the equipment result in a recorded message saying that the number is temporarily out of service. Emails to the company have gone unanswered. BUYER BEWARE - SCAM I would give it ZERO Stars as this company (PowerSmart and Amerisun Products) do not have any company skill for Customer Service, they do not care about the product they sell, only out for your money. I was given as a gift an Amerisun Model: AV8621S1 Self Propelled 21-in 170cc 3-in-1 lawn mower as I mow my neighbor's yard who is elderly in Nov 2025. I didn't get around to putting it together straight out of the box in Feb, when the weather was warmer. After assembly, I mowed two lengths (approx 15 yards and the self-propelled drive belt broke. This drive belt was installed at the factory, as per the instructions all the customer has to do is assemble the handle, put oil and gas in, and mow grass. E-mailed and called customer service who stated they need a PO#, went back to neighbor, she cannot find it or deleted it on her e-mail as it was a gift and she paid in full, didn't think I would need it - brand new mower. I have been working with Amerisun and they will not honor the warranty unless I provide the PO#, I have the serial #, model number date of purchase and explained the situation about the PO# and they still will not provide a new drive belt under the 2-year warranty which they refuse to honor. For the amount of money spent the products they sell and the reviews I have read, I would not have purchase this product if it was me, but it wasn't my neighbor was just being nice. These products are poorly made and are nothing but a scam. If you wish to speak to a supervisor, they will take your information and say a supervisor will contact you in 72-hrs. No call and it has been 2-weeks, BUYER BEWARE do not buy any products from Amerisun or PowerSmart all a SCAM!!! read more

No customer service and junk equipment. Parts are always never shipped and no one answers the phone. The equipment is junk.

I purchased this 40 volt snow blower two months ago. Here in NH, I find that I am unable to turn the shute in the cold weather. Now, with this large snowfall, I was unable to use this machine at all without this feature. As a widowed senior, I was hoping for a product that would increase my independence. I am incredibly disappointed that customer service is so difficult to locate. read more

Your battery life is shit It takes 15 minutes before the battery was dead ,and you have to cool down the battery to resume your tasks. Terrible performance. The lawnmower is crappy. I see you have terrible customer servic. If I could give a zero you'd be that. read more

The mower worked okay for 4 uses and then the engine blew up - in June. This is September and the company refuses to do anything about the mower. Better Business Bureau has contacted Amerisun/power smart about the defective mower and has not had a response. DO NOT PURCHASE anything from this company. I should have been smarter and looked at the reviews on Better Business Bureau - the company has an "F" rating because they will not settle any product issues and all of their products have issues. I will next complain heavily to the Illinois State Attorney General to shut down the company. I heavily complained to Home Depot (where I bought the mower) not to sell their product and HD refunded me and took the thing off my property BUT Amerisun/power smart has done nothing to resolve the issue. read more

Power Smart is a dishonest company - at least for it's affiliates. I joined their program only to find out they have a low 2% commission - not worth promoting so I left it alone. I never received any email or communication. This morning I saw they decided to leave a negative review because they hadn't gotten any sales. What?! They didn't bother communicating at all unlike other companies and like I said, a super low commission isn't enticing. This brand is definitely unprofessional and to leave feedback when there was no interaction or communication with them. Not a brand I would recommend supporting. And judging by customer experiences this is not a brand I would want to support. Shoppers and buyers beware. read more

Got the mower with broken height adjustment lever. Contacted customer service, took more than a week for them to respond. I figured they could just send me a new lever and I would install it. What they have no levers. Can't return the mower now, I threw away the box, had put gas and oil in it to make sure it ran. I would stay away from a company that doesn't even have the parts to repair the unit they are selling. Value for your money, not worth the time, trouble, and failures. read more

The customer service is non existent. They won't answer email. They don't answer the phone. It takes days to respond from Facebook messenger. Horrible customer service. I was hit by hurricane Helene. I ordered a generator directly from the manufacturer who had a 3-4 day lead time. Long story short, its 18 days later and I don't have a generator. I even emailed them to let them know I was a hurricane victim in desperate need of a generator. "Stella" who said she would expedite and ship in two day, is a huge liar. After 18 days and 20 emails, they still couldn't deliver. Cancelled the order and they wouldn't refund my money until the shipment had been returned. It made it within 10 miles of my home and sat in a FedEx facility for 6 days. I don't even think their owner is aware of the horrible experiences customers are having. Just another example of a foreign company, operating on US soil, but having no idea how to provide good customer service. read more

Cheap products, cheap parts, resulting breakdowns and not being provided reasonable warranty service. Don't buy anything PowerSmart!

I purchased a lawnmower via walmart website. I never used the mower when i received it due to the time of the year. When it was time to cut my grass, my neighbor was cutting my grass. The engine was no good. I took it to be repaired and they told me I may as well buy a new one because it was not worth fixing. I reached out to this company via email they told me they needed a receipt for proof of purchase I emailed it back to them and then they told me to check other things on the mower to see if it would work, which it never started. I asked to a replacement or my money back. Nothing happened I paid over $200 for this mower. I am filing a suit towards them. This is ridiculous. A total ripe off. read more

Mower had a catastrophic failure after 5 uses. I tried to submit a warranty claim and a funny thing happened. Before I registered the product I got through to their 800 number pretty quickly. Once I registered (and therefore they had my phone number), they never picked up. I was "the next caller in line" for over two effing hours. It's a scam- they sell you worthless crap and then make it impossible to do the warranty. Don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM POWERSMART, FOR ANY REASON, EVER. read more

Stay away from this company. NO customer service. They don't respond to emails and no one picks up the phone. After weeks of trying I finally spoke to someone about a snowblower via Amazon I purchased that came damaged in delivery AND came with no parts to put it together. They sent me a shipping label and I returned it and got a Fedex confirmation of delivery. I still have not received a refund after weeks gone by. I'm going to have to try to submit a dispute with my CC company and will report Powersmart to consumer affairs. Worse purchase I've ever made. I'm not going to let this slide. read more

Electric mower cost me $670 and it is junk. Battery time is 20 - 30 minutes. Rear discharge clogs constantly, even if it didn't, you would have to change the bag every few minutes because it is small. Also, my drive won't quit unless the mower completely shuts down so, constantly starting and stopping the mower. Most of all I can't get anyone from "customer service" to help me. FRAUDULENT COMPANY. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM OR THROUGH AMAZON. IThey never answer the phone and refuse to all me back. Only contact by email. Guy with only first name (Eric). ordered on March 8, 2023 a snow blower via amazon. It came with a damaged part. I called the vendor support and provided description and photos as requested. I was told a replacement part will be shipped to me with 3 to 5 days that was over a month ago. As of today, April 18, 2023, I have not yet received the replacement part. It has been over 40 days since my order with no resolution. The first time (April 13) they responded in email saying thay are "short-staffed" and that they will; resolve "asap", a vague an open-ended promise (All email communication available). The second time via email (today April 18-2023) that they do not have the part and that it will take weeks to order. I asked for a refund and a local branch I could take equipment to and receive a refund and asked them to call me. No human at the vendor company answers the phone (800)-791-9458. I have called them 5 times on several days and waited over 3.5 hours total. Their customer service representative (Eric with no last name) responds only to emails. In several email communications I asked them (Eric) to call me and he last replied with "due to our short-staffed situation, we are unable to reach out to you at this time". The vendor emailed me a return shipping label and would not answer my question about how long it takes to issue a refund. I have no faith in this vendor located in another state (Illonois) and would be happy to return the equipment to any local branch face-to-face and receive my refund, since they have broken their word so many time.
