    Ireland's tallest waterfall:-)

Ireland's largest waterfall is worth the visit if you are down in Enniskerry---it's just a short drive from the Ritz Carlton and the Powerscourt Estate. Like Bronagh M mentions...this place can be a bit magical if you are there in the autumn when the leaves are changing. You can also get quite close to the falls and even a bit wet if you are not careful. Tip, there is a car park once you enter the park surrounding the waterfall, however, keep driving and you can park even closer to the falls.

I was here in September of this year after not having been here since i was a kid. I cantbelieve i waited this long to come back. It was a sunny afternoon and we needed something to do with some visitors. They had been around Dublinbefore so i thought, wicklow, what can we do there? Powerscourt waterfall was perfect! really it is just a waterfall but it is a really spectacular feature, the time of year we were there was perfect because it was turning into autumn and the leaves were turning golden brown, just lovely! As i said it was sunny but it was also getting kind of cool so we sat at the benches provided and drankhot cups of soup before headingfora walk. i would recommend bringing a picnic with you, the soup was tasty butitwas expensive for what it is, as you would expect at a tourist destination i suppose!

I'm giving this place a five star only because there's not much to do in Ireland I'd give it a zero if I could because there's an admissions fee didn't quite understand why there should be something everyone should freely enjoy. It made me wonder since I'm from California where the redwood trees live and grow, how this country has very few trees and to my surprise I happened to find two redwood trees at this park. one would wonder why this country isn't full of them? aside from the trees, the waterfall was gorgeous magical and very refreshing something I'd highly recommend to tourist visitor or native who is in the region

The powerscourt waterfall is located in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains and is a short distance from Enniskerry and Dublin City. I love getting a car and driving up here with friends. The last couple times I drove here, visited the falls, ate lunch and then drove on to Glendalough which is about 20 minutes away. Easy way to make a fun outing out of the day. They have a food stand seeking good and drinks, including hot food (burgers, hot dogs, etc.) which is also covered. So if it starts raining, run under here! The restrooms are kept decently clean as well. There is a really good children's playground behind the food stand as well. Perfect to keep the kids entertained post-lunch and seeing the waterfall. The cost is €5.50 per adult although they have a family ticket option which could save you money for two adults and two kids.

Powerscourt waterfall is located close to the desolate Sally Gap drive and is run by the office of public works. as you drive in you will meet someone who is going to take €16 for a family ticket but its well worth it as you can spend a day here as there is so much to do. the waterfall is spectacular although not the biggest in europe it is the beautiful surrounding which simply adds to its majesty. and it is so clean and well looked after. a few years ago i went to Niagora Falls in Canada and while the waterfall is unbeatable the casinos and fast food takeaways make it rather tacky while here at powerscourt it is natural, lovely and unblemished. there are a few walks for the more energetic and picnic tables and a playground for the little ones. the only niggling thing for me is the tiny kiosk which serves coffee and burgers. it could be so much better but i suppose it is so tiny as people only come here when the weather is good. but if you like to barbeque then you can do that here.

This is an absolutely beautiful place! The waterfall is gorgeous! There's a few hiking trails to try out. Pretty easy walk around. The drive up is long but well worth it!

Amazing spot. Grab your grill, bikes, hiking shoes and a nice lunch. Your set for a wonderful day trip.

We have taken two trips with Rabbie's. The first was in Scotland several years ago, and we just…read morereturned from Ireland. Both trips exceeded our every expectation. Our driver/guide for Ireland was Andy, and his over and above customer service has made us Rabbie's customers for life. The company motto should be "We're going with or without you, so please join the fun!" Rabbie's guarantees your tour. You don't have to sweat a last second cancelation that wrecks your travel plans. Our Irish tour had a total of five people on a sixteen-person bus. We had a running discussion of Irish history, culture, and cuisine you just cannot get on a 60-person big bus tour. Take a tour with with Rabbie's and skip the crowd.

Rabbie's West Coast Explorer - 3 day tour Review  (13 - 15 SEP 2019) (and Rabbie's Boyne Valley (16…read moreSep2019) For starters we were visiting Ireland for the first time and normally we do not do tours.  This being said since we were a blank sheet of paper of what makes Ireland special we opted to do the Rabbis West Coast explorer tour.  We were more that smitten with the experience.  Our tour guide Shamus was a unending resource of inspiring Irish narrative on not only the sites we were taking in, but on all things engaging about the Irish culture and well Ireland itself.  We discovered the most spectacular sites from Fiords, to Ruins and landscape vistas that took your breath away.  Not only did we enjoy the The Burren, The Cliffs of Moher - evenings in Galway City, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park,  Clonmacnoise - and a Distillery tour, Shamus through in many other places that were never listed on the tour guide! All this was done with such ease and laid back style by our amazing tour guide and never rushing us to "...be back on the bus by..." edicts!  If you like me have a wonderment about history, ruins, spirituality great food choices or just plain every day life, this is the tour for you!    You can't beat the priced and will not ever regret it! We will be back to Ireland because of Rabbies and when we get back to Scotland will check them out there as well.
