This guy services Center Square area for his company, he's been to my house before but I forgot he worked for Phillips, otherwise, I would not have called them...I did not care for him the first time he came over. He seems lackadaisical, unconcerned and has a questionable work ethic. He parked his vehicle around the corner when there was ample parking in front of my house, he took his time walking back and forth to his vehicle. He charged me for 60 minutes of his time to do what in my opinion, should have taken 30 min. He must have spent 30 minutes in his truck I guess because he only spent about 30 MAX in my house. His work was ok, I had to ask him to tighten the door handles after he changed the main entrance door lock cylinder, which seems to me he would have done so without being asked. I won't be calling this company again, not if this guy is their representative I have no confidence in him. The bill included: SCR $200, for which he wrote "plus labor for outer door mortise lock..." (he did not provide a break-out of what he spent his time doing); He then listed "Change combination Lock cylinder $20.00", "Progressive Split Spindle $18.92" plus 8% in taxes; the total invoice was $258.03. I feel like the work he did could have been done faster and far less expensive. I'll call another company the next time.

I didn't care as much about resolution, upgraded speaker quality, etc. as it was a little-used television that I listened to more than watched while working on projects. I am not really tech savvy (nearly everything I was looking for was what my wife told me I needed, as I have trouble just getting the remotes to work) so I decided to come here first. The person I talked to was very helpful. He showed me a couple of televisions that would work but one was way more expensive than I needed (his words actually) and the other was so basic that various apps couldn't be installed onto it. He apologized but couldn't recommend spending a lot on a tv here when a cheap Asian import at Walmart would work a lot better. I appreciated his honesty and advice. If I need a really nice television, I will trust the people here.

These guys are the real deal…read more I have my security system managed by a bigger (but not better) competitor in the area and have had nothing but trouble. For months, I was dealing with a zone that was suffering from voltage spikes and producing false alarms left and right. I called my monitoring company to do repairs. First, they sent someone out to replace a contact (even though that was clearly not the issue) and billed me for hours of troubleshooting, then I was stuck calling back in countless times trying to reach the "right" person to resolve my issue - all while having 2 to 3 false alarms per day! Finally, I got fed up and called Catskill Security Systems. I called them and - boom - got a service appointment the very next day. Joe came out and diagnosed my rather complex issue with ease. After an hour or so, my system was back online and not a false alarm since. Thank you Joe!! I can't emphasize enough just how much more knowledgeable and professional this team is compared to other security companies in the area. I have a background in electronics and software engineering, so it's hard to bullshit someone like me when it comes to fixing low voltage circuits. The customer service person I spoke to misled me as far as whether it would be ok for my husband to be present during the installation instead of me. It wasn't, and that led to problems that needed to be resolved and the whole system needed to be rebilled to my husbands credit card instead of mine. I wasn't told ahead of time that not all of the equipment promised would be delivered due to a lack of availability and it's taken over double the four weeks that I was told to deliver and install the missing doorbell cam. Hopefully they will show up to install that and move the panel to the location that I had specified for it to be located in the first place. They're all very polite but none of them tell the truth. I would advise anyone to be very skeptical of any promises made by Vivint employees from the sales reps on down the line to the installers. As far as I'm concerned they are all very polite liars.
