The following statements are my personal opinion on things that I have personally seen and been…read moretold. Information told to me is ostensible though unambiguous: Do not do business here it's a ripoff. In most cases you will not make any money leasing a truck from this company based on the private information I have acquired for over a year from multiple close-knit family and friends and I have seen evidence with my own eyes. Their bottom line is how much money the company can make. This money is made off of a driver's driving miles and lease payments for a truck the company has already paid for, added plenty of miles to, and wear and tear, before allowing it to be leased. Your success in completing a lease to own is not a factor at any point in time. You will receive a vehicle that was poorly maintained. If you break down; WHEN you break down, they will partially fix some of the issue (mostly temporary fixes/bare necessity to get the tuck moving). They will tell the mechanics to get it to the point it is "moving" just to get the driver back on the road. They also tell mechanics to remove the codes to get the truck moving without actually fixing major problems that will have the truck broken down time and time again. They refuse to defer payments when you are broken down no matter how long you are broken down if they cannot in some way get labor out of you. (E.g. You have to play gofer and retrieve trucks from people who have ended their leasing agreement; from any given place in America. You may only receive that treatment if you are employed with their affiliate* company Cal-Ark) They refuse to fix every issue no matter how small or large the issue is and small problems turn into big huge problems so it's a matter of when you will need a tow truck not if. Professional mechanics will diagnose and many times have all necessary parts to fix the equipment but they will refuse to pay for the problem to be repaired if they decide they don't want to. Any successful transactions here had to be a fluke or nepotism. * - unsure how exactly the two companies are legally associated.

"My off-road trailer modification" I've been looking since…read more2012 for someone & found a total of 4 people who supposedly could do the job of building me a multi-purpose trailer capable of going off road with independent axles, 35 inch tires, to be pulled by a 4 x 4 Jeep for wilderness camping. The first 3 FAILED! Until in 2025! My trailer needs to be able to withstand the off road stress without falling apart. It needs to also be used to load a lawnmower, atv, firewood logs or furniture etc., basically I needed to fabricate a multi purpose trailer to meet a variety of my needs. I also had many obstacles in my search, as I needed to be able to describe my ideas without knowing the appropriate words/lingo in the world of welding fabrication with electrical features such as winch, brakes attached to Jeep, 360 degrees of lighting with extra lighting when backing up in the darkness in the woods. Also, add my special order trailer hitch from Australia. This trailer must be old people friendly so that I could climb on any side, pickup the heavy a$& ramp (I have a bad back) easily and have a flat deck with pop up tie downs so I won't trip in the dark while walking on it. It also needed to be painted professionally. The last requirement was that even with this extra weight, the trailer can weigh no more than 1,000-1,500lbs. I finally found "The Man" who could accomplish & did so! His name is Allen Collin and he works at DL, Trucks & Trailer Outfitters in Cabot. He listened to my ideas & made it all HAPPEN! On Thursday I reserved a uhaul from this uhaul dealer and I went in and I've never felt better…read moreabout spending money (because who likes to spend money faulting?!) well, my boyfriend is a truck driver so I was left with the task of moving out of my apartment alone...so I asked the representative if he would do me a huge favor (thinking that he would look at me like I was crazy). I asked if he would drive the uhaul to my apartment so I wouldn't have to leave my vehicle behind. The representative (and I HATE that I didn't take names I suck) said that he would be glad to but it would have to be in 30 minutes when the place closes. Ok so on Friday I've loaded the things in the uhaul to realize that I have gotten the wrong size uhaul so I drive to U Storage to see if there is anyway I could get a bigger truck and how much it would be to do so. They were so nice and helpful and accommodated me to the point that they two guys (one was in training and both were extremely nice again I did not take their names because I suck) told me they would help me take the items I had packed and put them into the new truck. I was blown away by the customer service here at U Storage because I NEVER or rarely ever have customer service professionals go above and beyond for me. The staff at U Storage did just that and they really made my day. Thank you guys soooo much!!!

On 8/20/2020 my wife and I rented a trencher and trailer from Evcon Rentals. The trencher broke 4…read moretimes in 2 days. 1st the quick release valve started leaking which took half a day to fix. 2nd the bolt fell out from the auger which removes dirt from the chain. 3rd the chain was in need of adjustment and looked lose, this chain fell off causing another repair. 4th the tracks the unit drives on came off the trencher and showed to be dry and cracking with pieces missing, we finally gave up trying to use this equipment. Michael Evans said all 4 breakdowns were due to how we were using his machine, upon asking other professionals about the breakdown types their response was lack of maintenance. I noticed the trailer looked old and I inquired about its condition, the employee hitching the trailer at Evcon stated the trailer needs to be rebuilt but was in road worthy condition, He then hitched the trailer to our Dodge Truck. On the way home when crossing a bridge in a corner, the trailer coupling came off the ball on our truck, causing the truck to veer in oncoming traffic. The trailer only holding on by 2 safety chains began banging into the back of our truck very hard and loud. I was able to get the trailer under control before we left the roadway and crashed. Upon road side inspection the trailer's coupling still had the locking slide fully locked on the coupling and was too hot to touch from rubbing against the trucks tire. The inspection showed the coupling was faulty being rusty and missing metal parts underneath that hold the coupling to the ball. This worn-out coupling caused the trailer to come lose from the trucks hitch ball damaging the tailgate and right rear of the vehicle and forcing the truck off the road. Michael Evans the owner of Evcon Rentals came to the accident scene, he never asked if we were OK or if anyone was injured, Michael Evans seemed only concerned with his liability explaining to us this was our fault and his company was not at fault. Michael Evans stated "We are responsible for hitching the trailer" Additionally, ignoring they did not tell us to hitch the trailer and preceded to perform the hitching themselves. He also stated this trailer's coupling came off a customer's vehicle once before. My response was "the coupling is obviously worn out and not fit for use and this is due to your negligence" When my wife and I asked him to call a tow truck to pick up the trailer after refusing to re hitch his trailer to our truck, Michael Evans became upset with us and demanded we re-hitch his trailer to our truck, we refused again. Michael Evans the owner ignores our request to repair our truck by simply not responding to us. Read our experience and make your decision, would you want this experience? Find a better more reputable place in Hot Springs to rent from.
