These guys were great in loading up all my stuff down a huge flight of stairs. Helping pack up. Nothing broke during the move. I insisted that a few things were fine not being wrapped in blankets, etc. nope. Johnny secured everything. He truly cared about it getting there in one piece. I was late getting my place after a mixup with the truck. He was accommodating with his schedule and patient and stayed until The job was done. Friendly, polite, hardworking. Can't go wrong with these guys. read more

The owner gave us a generous competitive bid for a weekend move. The two man crew showed up on time, wrapped our office cabinets and furniture with great care. They were very conscientious, taping down runners and covering railings prior to moving our belongings upstairs. The men made sure they put each piece exactly were we wanted it quickly and efficiently. Without hesitation, I would definitely use this company again. read more

My husband and I have used them twice now. Super efficient and very quick! They were able to provide a quote and reserve our move on a short notice. They also accommodated our work hours, which I appreciated the most! Will be using them again in the future! read more

Power Moves helps take the huge stress of moving off your shoulders! They show up on time and work hard and nonstop the whole time. They have all the necessary equipment - large truck, dollies, and padding for any size furniture. Very strong movers and very diligent in making sure your valuables are handled with 100% total care. After unloading they even go the extra mile to make sure all boxes and furniture are placed into the correct room in your new home. I would whole-heartedly recommend Power Moves to anyone I know looking for a solid moving company to get them moved quickly and efficiently. And I would not hesitate to use them again myself!! read more

I've moved often and it's usually a major hassle. Not today. Johnny and Armando were fantastic moving a house load from San Jose to Santa Cruz. They were well equipped and prepared, and careful with our stuff and home. They worked non-stop, pretty impressive. Very friendly and helpful too. Well done guys! read more

Through a miscommunication in their office they were half hour late. Other than that, everything was packed with care wrapped loaded unloaded in a very professional and concise manner. I would recommend them highly. read more

We recently relocated from N Salinas over to Seaside, and for the first time we decided to let the pros handle it! I found this company after a quick Google search, and my call and concerns where quickly answered by manager Johnny. Easy to book and within the evening we had our movers scheduled. They offer a pretty reasonable hourly rate with a three hour minimum, and for us it included two capable movers who brought their own XL truck and gear. Our moving specialists where very professional but also friendly. They walked the house first room to room to go over details, special items, etc They worked to pack our entire three bedroom house, and where pretty quick! We have a lot of mirrored fragile furniture, as well as music equipment and fine artworks that where a concern of ours. Both movers wrapped and moved these pieces with the utmost skill and care. For an extra layer of complexity it was all out downpour rain about one hour into the move, but the guys where on top of it and so careful to not damage any of our water sensitive pieces. They also prepared to tape off our entire new carpeted area to protect the floor, very mindful! I jumped in a few times to help with boxes but honestly we basically could sit back and finish packing the small stuff whole these guys tetrised our stuff into the truck. If you've considered getting help moving don't even second guess hiring these guys! The entire move, pack and unpacking, was completed that day in less than 8 hours. When we arrived they unpack the truck box and piece at a time, along everything to the room it needs to be in and can even help reassemble furniture and heavy pieces. Great experience, would definitely call on them again for our next relocation! read more

Johnny and team helped us move from Gilroy to San Jose. They handled all of our furniture with care while moving and during transportation. All heavy furniture and appliances were covered with fabric and then shrink wrapped. Power movers are professionals and highly polite with great customer service. read more

This is exactly the service I was looking for, they were responsive and easy to work with. The crew was great, they took care of everything and were obviously professionals who knew what they were doing. And they really hustled. Great job! read more

I am going to let the company's public unprofessional response speak for itself. I'm not sure what she thinks I would have to gain, and caution against hiring this company. read more

We needed help with moving items into a POD ina quick turn around and the team was super responsive, accommodated our schedule, arrived and packed the POD swiftly and with care. Would use them again! read more

From start to finish, Johnny and Daniel from Power Moves were professional and courteous. They arrived right on time and ready to go. We hired them to move our daughter out of her two story, upstairs condo in Capitola into a house about a mile away. I never heard one complaint about all the stairs or about disassembly and reassembly of her Ikea furniture. They treated all her belongings like antiques. We couldn't have been more impressed. As with any move, it seems there is always a mountain of trash bags and "dump items". Johnny and Daniel finished the move by hauling all that trash to the landfill for a very reasonable fee. We have hired many different moving companies over the years from the big guys to other small companies and we have never had such an easy move. This family run business is one we would definitely use again and we would highly recommend them to others. read more

These guys are great! We hired them to help move from Fremont to San Jose and they were fast, professional, and secured everything very well. Nothing was damaged, and they even helped reassemble some furniture. The move was very stressful due to a large volume of stuff and would have been next to impossible without them. read more

So I had Joe and Art out today to move my apt. Very fast, good rates, nothing broken or scratched so I'm happy. I'm a repeat customer, I would highly recommend these guys! read more

Johnny and Art helped my family move and were amazing. Knowledgeable, courteous, diligent, resourceful, friendly, and professional are great words to express the experience we had with them. In fact a couple of friends of ours who are in the military helped us that day (have a LOT of experience moving..) and said they were the most professional moving crew they had seen before. There you go.. an endorsement from the armed services, what more can I say!? Thanks Johnny and Art - it was great to meet you and really appreciate your help! read more

I am so impressed and grateful for Julie at Power Moves. I had an unexpected change of plans and had to cancel our scheduled move at the last minute. She was quick to respond (just as she was when I first contacted this company) and very professional and kind when canceling my request. The best businesses shine when things don't go as planned but they still take care of you. Thanks, Julie! read more

I was so pleased with Power Moves for my recent move from Pacific Grove to Foster City. The two movers, Vinnie and Frankie were fantastic to work with. UPDATE: 3 years later and I used Power Moves again, but for a long distance move 350+ miles away. This move was a much bigger move than I've ever done before but Power Moves handled it with ease. The first day was spent loading the truck and although I anticipated a looong day, they had my entire apartment loaded up in just over 2 hours. The next day they met us at the storage unit and although I was CONVINCED it wouldn't all fit, they got everything in the unit with room to spare in less than an hour. I absolutely cannot have done this move without Power Moves, they were hard working, professional, and knowledgeable through the entire process. An absolutely amazing company. read more

Power Moves Services helped us to move from Marina to Seaside couple of weeks ago. I've never been that much impressed with the moving team and the company management. These guys are the BEST! Johnny and his boys really came through for us last minute. We rented a POD (NEVER do that) and the POD company basically didn't show up and long story short, we needed our stuff moved out of the POD and into a moving truck 2.5 hours away in just a few hours. They came, same day with like an hours notice, loaded up everything, got it to our new house. They packed everything up super good (nothing was damaged or broke) and worked through the heat in the middle of the day quickly. They are professional, kind, and super good at what they do! Definitely recommended Power Moves for your next move read more

These guys were fantastic. I had to put my stuff in a storage unit before I had PCS orders. They were professional, courteous, and timely. They were also about about 33% cheaper than the competition! They got everything squared away in my unit, and when PCS time came around, since power moves had done such a great job packing up, my move out of my second floor 10 by 20 unit was over by lunchtime. Great experience all around! read more

We planned to move from one side of town to the other and I really did not want to hire a moving company. I found this company on Yelp and within hours received a return call with a quote and appointment scheduled. We had spent months packing our personal items and only had heavy furniture left in the home to move. There was a three hour minimum, but it was estimated it would take approximately three hours. The day of the move they arrived and moved very quickly to get all our heavy furniture out of the home (it was a two story.) They disassembled the furniture with no issues. We arrived at the new home and they were so efficient re-assembling and moving the heavy furniture up another two story. They made it so easy, I regret spending so much time packing our items. It appeared they would have been more efficient. They were professional, but also friendly. We will definitely recommend them to our neighbors and friends and will also keep them in mind for our next move. read more

I just used Johhny and the guys for the 4th time and they just get better every time! They prep your items better than a national chain, full setup, polite and respectful, always on time, and work HARD! These guys never break, just work hard and if you get them for 5 hours you get 5 hours of work!! You just cannot go wrong here, highly recommend!!! read more

We have used Power Moves Services twice in the last 6 months. The first move was requested at the last minute after driving across the country and they were there to help us. On both occasions the moving team has been friendly, courteous, and very careful with our personal belongings. There rate also seemed very reasonable. We would definitely call them again if we needed them. You should give them a chance!!! read more

Johnny and his guys provided shuttle service to move items from my parents house and load into another moving trailer and were game on through the move. From the initial phone call with Johnny he was very professional and provided an immediate quote along with proof of insurance. When the guys got there (ON TIME), I asked them if we could remove an old jukebox full of 45's from the basement by lifting it 4' and out a window, they guys were like "LET'S DO THIS", and it was done in 15 minutes. All furniture items were wrapped for protection and carefully moved. The whole process took a little less than five hours. Totally recommend calling if you need anything moved. read more

Awesome job. Quick, safe, efficient, affordable. And pleasant, too! Would recommend to anyone. So flexible with short notice, too!

So this review is a few months late but I wanted to acknowledge the great service I was provided when moving out of my place. Johnny was very professional when organizing the day of the move. He and his team arrived on time, they were very careful and quick with packing and loading my items. I especially appreciated that they wrapped my furniture in plastic wrap and provided boxes with racks to hang my clothes. This was my first time hiring a moving company and my experience was great. I definitely recommend Johnny and his team to anyone moving close or far! The rates are the best around. read more

We used Power Moves last Sunday 5/24/15 to move us from Sausalito to Salinas. Johnny and Luey (sorry if names not spelled correctly- took care of us with extreme professional service. From the time I placed my first phone call, we had exceptional customer service. I trusted them from my first conversation with Johnny. We're new to Salinas and wanted to use a local company. Awesome service! Johnny and his crew were very professional. We moved down the street, but since we had little ones to care for, we couldn't do the move ourselves. He was easy to work with as far as date/time. He took care of my items carefully and quickly moved my items. The price was also reasonable. I was very pleased with the service they provided! Great job guys! read more

They are professional, hard working, consciousness, they arrive on time and are very fast. I appreciated that I only had to say where I wanted things once. Even though I was just moving from one condo building to another in the same complex they took the time to wrap my things. I fully recommend them and will be using them the next time I move! read more
