Did they provide a good value for their service? NO. They do provide a good product as far as I know. BUT service... this depends. Their installation team was effective and fast. I cannot really complain about that. The problem is that once they ruin something in your house, good luck trying to get them. Did they respond quickly? Only when you are paying for something. When they have to pay for damages, you will never, NEVER, find them. So, let me tell you my story. First, let's start with the salesman. Once they start their script they will not stop. I had to put my baby to bed, and he did not care. He came at 6 pm and at 10 pm he was still talking. I didn't need the salesman because I already wanted to get their product. I just needed him to start the contract, which should take 5 minutes but he decided to start talking for hours. Then, the installation. The guys were super nice... but they ruined my blinds in the process. They put on a sliding door and did not remove my blinds, a 900 USD blinds ruined. They tried cleaning it but the cleaning product they used discolored the actual blinds. The blinds were new; they only had 4 months. Brand NEW beautiful 900-dollar blinds now discolored with white patches. Then the customer service. So, since I paid their service in full... let me repeat, I PAID IN FULL THE DAY OF INSTALLATION. This is important because it will come back. So, I paid in full and I thought that I could call customer service and ask them to fix my blinds or paid for them, anything really to solve the problem. They pass you around from one person to another on the phone and keep you waiting. Allow me to illustrate the situation. "Hi, Power, what is your name, address where the job was done, the date of the job, what is the reference/job number and how can I help you?" After you answer all this, and you explain that they ruined your blinds... "Oh, let me transfer you to the right department." 15 minutes later... "Hi, power, what is your name, address where the job was done, the date of the job, what is the reference/job number and how can I help you?" So you answer all their questions again, and explain the situation. "Oh, let me transfer you to the right department" and an endless cycle continues. I contacted them about my blinds one month ago, never heard from them. I send them an email with pictures of the blinds, never got a response from them. THE WORST THING is that the only reason I decided to get their product was because they promise life-time warranty on their windows. And the house I have, has their windows already. One day, a salesman knocks at the door and starts telling me that they can change one of my windows because it was old, and they can do it for free because of the life-time warranty. So I said, "Sure." And then he asked if I needed a new window or door and I thought if it has life-time warranty then yes. He said, "Yes." He put me on the phone with someone at their offices to get the "old" window replaced for free. He said someone was going to come for a free quote. I said, "I don't have time for unnecessary steps. I want the sliding door, and I will pay right now. Just show up and do the job." He said, "no, we will send somebody to do the measurements." The day of the appointment, who do you think shows up??? A salesman. After talking for 4 to 5 hours, he makes an appointment with the guy who is actually going to take the measurements. By the way... that old window, IT WAS NEVER REPLACED. 5 or 6 Months later, they started to call me asking me to pay... you read this correctly... they want me to PAY AGAIN. I already paid in full the day of installation. Remember? They are claiming I didn't pay. I have copies of the receipts, which I sent to them just like I did with the blinds. but they don't give a caca about anything. Worst company ever. I told them over the phone that not only they damaged the blinds, now they want more money for no reason... I am not going to pay. Guess what happened... 4 days later I discovered a charge that I did not authorize in my credit card to power home remodeling. As I finish this review, I am calling the bank and now I have to deal with them. This is a nightmare. read more

From start to finish we had the worst experience with Power and will never use them again or recommend to any friend or family member. The salesmen were named Chris Giunta and Keenan O'Dacre. The estimate was a 7 hour long pressure sales pitch on a Saturday in August. They offered a price and began to immediately reduce it when we showed hesitation, including a discount for allowing them to use before and after pictures of our house (they never took any pictures). They made us apply for their financing company Green Sky, saying that it was part of the process with their company. After I got the paperwork from Green Sky, I learned how high the interest rate was and that they had a 5 month period of interest only payments, so I told them I would not use that company. The second part of the process was the pre-installation inspection that took about 2 hours to complete. We didn't have much part in this, it was just the inspector making sure the measurements and estimates from the sale was correct. The inspector's name was Jeremey Martin. He actually seemed very trustworthy. He informed us that our porch posts that were included in the project would not look very good if they were capped, so at his recommendation, we decided to remove that from our project. He made clear notes about this in our project and I signed for it. I was told that a project manager would reach out to me about the next parts and the adjustment in the project cost. I did not hear from anyone for months about what would happen next so I called the company about 3 weeks before the project was supposed to begin. By the way all numbers go to the company's main line. You will end up talking to everybody before you get anywhere with answers. So I finally got to speak to our project manager, Shane McKee, who I feel is way too good to work for this awful company. He had to take a lot of the blame for the things that went wrong, but he is a good guy. So Shane came out and met us to sign the amendments to our contract but beyond just removing the porch posts, he told us that the measurements were not correct, and that the pricing of the materials was wrong as well, so the difference in cost would just balance out. This is after 2 sets of people, the salesmen, and the inspector confirmed these numbers for us. Conveniently for them the inspector no longer worked for their company and they used his as a scapegoat for the problems that came us with the measurements. It was after multiple complaints that we finally settled on a price and final plan. Our project was completed when we were out of town. We get home from vacation and the porch posts were worked on anyway and some colors were incorrect. They left all the scrap and trash around our house, and there were a tons of nails on the ground around our house.The porch posts looked bad just as the inspector said they would and we told them we wanted them taken down. They said that we basically got free work done and didn't want to correct the issue. So we told them to take the capping off of the porch posts which they did, and it was revealed that the rotted wood that was our initial complaint of the porch posts was not replaced at all. Also, the paint on them were stripped off, and the caulking from the job was all left behind. They initially refused to fix the problem but again, after consistent complaints we came to a resolution. After everything was finally done with them, I was relieved to be free of this company, but they never contacted me to pay. I called them and found out that put the payment through Green Sky anyways without my authorization. I was promised to be called back after things were "looked into" but never got a call. I found out the RVP is David. His cell phone number is (248) 949-7020. He was the only person who had any authority to get things done. It is now January and finally rid of them. Just like others here, I would give them a zero if I could. We had a guy come to our door with a flyer, asking if he could give us a quote. We set a date and time for the appointment and he showed up on time with his associate, but his sales spiel took FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. When we decided to have some of the work done, it took an extra hour just to get the paperwork done. That's just way, way, WAY too long. They set a date to have the attic insulation done and some wood trim repair on one of the back windows the following month because of work/travel plans. Two days before they're supposed to come out we get a call saying they can't do the wood trim on the scheduled day because they didn't have the parts. WHAT? They had over a month to figure this out and they couldn't get what they needed?!?!! They rescheduled for later in the week. The day they were supposed to do the attic insulation we got a call that morning saying they couldn't do the job that day because the guy who was scheduled to do the job had a medical emergency. I understand things like this happen, but they don't have a back-up plan? So they rescheduled. Later in the week when they were supposed to come out and do the wood trim repair, we got another call saying they couldn't do the repair that day because their guy who does these repairs wasn't in that day. Shouldn't they have known that when they rescheduled? So now they reschedule to do the attic insulation and the wood trim repair the same day -- June 2nd. The day arrives, and the attic insulation guys come and do the job, but again, the wood trim repair guy doesn't show up. My wife calls the company and gets the royal runaround. We finally get a call from the project manager for the wood trim repair after 2:00 PM and they say they'll be out tomorrow between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Here we are, the day of, and we get a call saying he'll be out sometime between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Ten minutes later, we get a call from Power asking if they had delivered parts to our home (which had been sitting in our driveway for almost a month). They don't even know if they delivered parts or materials to one of their work sites?!?!! How can you run a business like this? These people are completely incompetent. We spent the better part of an afternoon having our ears filled with stories about how great this company is, how reliable they are, how they have such great ratings, how they stress communication -- our experience shows the sales pitch was one huge lie after another. We will NEVER use this company again, and I advise anyone who is thinking about having Power Home Remodeling come in and do work on their home to look elsewhere. read more

On Tuesday, October 28, at about 2:20 p.m., two representatives from Power Home Remodeling came to my home in Madison Heights, Michigan -- a white male named Dustin and a white female driving a vehicle with Michigan license plate EYC 5730. They ignored my clearly posted "No Soliciting" sign, which even lists the city ordinance number, and the female solicitor knocked on my door anyway. When I answered, their initial sales pitch was that they had just completed a job in the neighborhood -- a tactic that shows if you hire them, they will harass your neighbors to drum up more work. I confronted them immediately and informed them they were in violation of Madison Heights Ordinance §7-68, which explicitly prohibits soliciting at any residence displaying a "No Soliciting" sign -- permit or not. The two clearly knew they were in the wrong, because as soon as I told them I was calling the police, they stopped knocking on doors and fled straight to their car a couple blocks away. I followed them to obtain their license plate number and encountered their supervisor, another white male, who argued aggressively, insisting their permit allowed them to ignore "No Soliciting" signs -- a completely false claim and a clear display of ignorance of the law. The supervisor's behavior was arrogant and unprofessional, defending conduct that is plainly illegal under the city ordinance. I have video evidence of the encounter and have filed a formal report with the Madison Heights Police Department and City Clerk's Office, including the vehicle details and company name. A company whose representatives harass neighbors for business, and whose supervisor defends breaking the law, shows no respect for homeowners, property rights, or the community. Avoid Power Home Remodeling at all costs -- if this is how they behave before earning your business, imagine how they'll treat your neighbors and you afterward. read more

This has been one of the most disappointing -- and frankly alarming -- customer service experiences I've ever had. After spending thousands on what was supposed to be a professional roofing job, I've been left with a patched-together mess, subpar craftsmanship, and a complete lack of accountability. Since my last review on July 5, the situation has only gotten worse. A fourth repair attempt on July 7 was the sloppiest yet: the technician arrived unprepared, used the wrong tools, and left behind ripped shingles, damaged gutters, exposed nail heads, and large visible gaps. Instead of fixing the underlying issues, he simply added more patching -- making the roof even worse. Here's the most troubling fact: this company never pulled the legally required permit for my roofing project. My township inspector has now flagged multiple code violations -- including improper nailing, exposed fasteners, damaged plywood decking, gaps at valleys and flashing, and shingles that are not properly sealed. After two years and four failed service attempts, my roof still has not passed inspection. Even more concerning, I have documented proof that this company has provided mischaracterized and misleading information to government and state agencies during the course of my complaints. This raises serious questions about transparency, integrity, and compliance. These are not cosmetic flaws. These are serious installation and safety issues that compromise my home's protection. I've given this company every opportunity to correct their mistakes, but the workmanship, honesty, and follow-through remain unacceptable. Homeowners deserve competence, accountability, and ethical business practices -- none of which I've received here. Choose wisely. read more

I will update this as we get more information and hopefully have our issues resolved. We just had a roof installed and despite the candy coated sales presentation we have found over 72 nails throughout our drive way and lawn. If that wasn't bad enough we also have wood, plastic and shingles (some with nails sticking up out of the) all over our yard. We have cameras everywhere so we have proof of their mess and lackluster cleanup. Sales was good, pre inspection was good but the install was met with workers that never tried to give us updates... which we found was because English was not understood. We have several calls in to get someone out to clean up the mess but they didn't show up as promised.... I am worried now that the roof quality might be crappy in the same way their clean up was. Like I said, I will update this review and stars "if" we get some sort of resolution to our issues **UPDATE 11/4/2022** So we called again and finally had part of the crew come back and do a better job. Despite All the nails we picked up yesterday they found a hundred more. We bought a metal detector and our own commercial rolling magnet to do our own sweep. What an exceptional company! From the canvasser, to Harry who wrote our estimate and explained everything to us, to Jody and Jon for their calls to keep track that everything was going fine, and especially our install team of Brian, Jim and Billy and Aaron our quality control man. I've had estimates from other companies and they didn't even come close to the professionalism and friendliness of everyone. Everyone I have dealt with in this company is in this for the long haul. This is no "sell, install, and steal away into the night" company. Aaron actually took the time after inspecting our 4 windows, to rewrite a new contract to add our next 3 windows; so a possible 20 minute appointment turned into 1 1/2 hours, and made sure we were happy with everything. Note: I left our slider window open while running errands, to my dismay my cat decided she needed out..through the screen she went. Our window wasn't even 1 day old! Aaron, called and action was taken, they will be replacing the screen and no charge, just like they said. Power has been phenomenal so far! We are replacing a roof, house full of windows and some trim work (soffit, fascia and gutters). I was impressed with their knowledgable staff and selection of top grade materials. the Representiative that gave me the estimate was thorough and gave a no pressure sales effort which was very refreshing! he was able to discount the work for us going with the company today instead of having a guaranteed 1 year price. the roof has been installed as well as the windows, the trim work will start Monday. the company even offers financing options at fairly aggressive interest rates that don't start until after the final project is complete. the workmanship of the crew has been great so far and I would 100% recommend at least speaking with power to hear what they have to offer. 10/10! read more

I initially was happy with the company. Then their "quality assurance" guy treated me like I was stupid for not wanting to invest over $4k in gutters. My gutters work fine, or they did before Power shingled over them (shingles go past the gutters in places). Then, I noticed from the attic that the plywood decking that we had agreed needed to be replaced from a leak and had paid for Power to replace was not replaced. They claim to be coming back to rip up the new and replace the decking, but it was not fixed immediately as they had other jobs they "had to get to". I paid more than other companies for a quality job, but was given a cheap experience. I also found a full handful of nails in my driveway after they left. read more

Our marketers who knocked on our door were pleasant and professional. Taylor and Arnold were very personable as sales people, very informative, although slightly long winded. Our project managers were excellent, very nice and very knowledgable. Our window and siding installers were very professional and helpful, they even fixed some plaster on two windows which was very unexpected. I thought it was something we were going to have to take care but they did it as if it were second nature. Overall, we love our new windows and the fact that they are efficient, noise reducing and look amazing. We will be recommending Power to our friends and family. read more

Power is a very professional organization. I really liked the fact that the crews had uniforms. Most contractors you never know who is on your property, but with Power it was very clear. They also actually carry roofers insurance to make sure everyone is safe. Will our salesman was extremely thorough and gave us a complete education as to why our roof was failing and how Power would fix it. Our attic insulation is now top notch and our windows are no longer finicky. We were kept well informed throughout the process of the schedule by our project manager, Jon. From the very 1st contact, this company has been great. My salesman was honest, my installers were professional. My windows look and perform great! They even sent a quality control man, Josh, out to my home to inspect all the work done. So their customer service is amazing too. They use Pella windows and already my home is less drafty. I took a chance on this company after finding them on Facebook and I'm really glad I did. From start to finish, I don't even think it's been a month. No money down, I paid in full on day of service. Sam our salesman was fantastic, he was knowledgable, friendly and wasn't pushy. My project managers Jeremey and Jon were equally knowledgable and kept in constant contact throughout my entire installation. I really liked that they take communication seriously, unlike other contractors out there. My roof crew did not seem to even take a break during the install, and finished in just one day. Everyone on the team has been very courteous and informative at every step of the way. There has been full transparency in every piece of paper work and action they have taken. Follow up and clarification opportunities were provided by multiple supervisors through the process as well. The crew was very efficient, clean, and performed quality work. Although one visit was rescheduled. It was rescheduled in a timely manner and with all customer experiences kept in mind to avoid downstream delays throughout the day. My project managers answered all my silly questions, were very prompt to each meeting and I was very happy with them. My installers were polite, and extra efficient, the job was completed in one day. Power Home Improvement did a great job. Sam was our salesman and we really were impressed with his honesty and integrity. He also went up in the rafters to take pictures and spent a lot of time with us. He let us know right away that the total cost would not be the lowest but you have to realize you get what you pay for and Power gives good quality. We are really happy with the roof, it is Biscayne Blue. So we recommend these guys. They seem to really care about your service. Yay! Oh also Aaron is actually a quality control dude. Eli and Gregg my salesmen were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Everyone has been on time. The roof was a bit expensive but well worth it for the quality and warranty. My insulation in the attic is amazing. I love my front door. Just had my windows installed, they are top quality at a fair price. My installer Phil was outstanding, friendly and worked very efficiently. I would definitely recommend Power for home improvements to anyone. Our sales guy was very professional, showed us things that we did not know windows could do. I love how strong the glass is. Our project managers kept in contact with us, any issues we had were handled right away in a very professional manor. Phil and Joe our installers were the best, very professional and extremely imaginative in regards to making things work the way we want, did a true custom job for us, and I fully intend on using them for my next group of windows.
