Hello, I recently bought a 2007 Chevy Suburban from your dealership and had it transported to Phoenix AZ. I was assured that the vehicle was clean, well kept, and in good mechanical condition. Either this vehicle was not properly inspected or the condition was grossly misrepresented. Here are the list of the unexpected repairs i am having to do. Windshield cracked in 3 spots, not shown in add. Dead battery, had to be jumped to get it off the truck. Low brake fluid. (safety issue) 3 bald tires. one wheel bearing. (safety issue) abs stabilization and tracking system lights were on. You cant drive over 25 mph without sideswiping a car, due to the loose tie rod. (safety issue) The sway bars were missing the bushings. (safety issue) The emergency brake cable was not connected, this is why the brake warning light stays on. (safety issue) The rear passenger door lock actuator doesn't work, wont open or close. Theres broken glass in the passenger door. Theres rust under the carpet pad indicating this vehicle was under water. The 3rd row seat levers are broken and cant remove or lower the seat. Total unexpected repair expenses: $6,400.00 read more

Had a great experience with Power Chevrolet beginning with my web inquiry on a 2004 Corvette. I received a prompt response from Austin. Since I live 4 hours north of the dealership, I requested specific photos to gauge if it was worth the drive. He patiently and quickly responded to all emails and texts. He even supplied a couple of videos which were very helpful. I made an appointment for that Saturday and arrived shortly after opening. Unfortunately, Austin couldn't make it in, but I was assisted by Victor. Victor was great as well and patiently waited as I poked all around the car inside and out. He gave me a nice test drive route and allowed my wife and I to take the car out ourselves. The car was in great shape and the price was outstanding so I bought it. We checked in everyday for 4 days asking for the keys or to have the truck rekeyed so we could drive it and buy it. Wednesday they finally find the keys, one person says they were in a salespersons desk the manager says they were in the service department. We schedule a 5pm appt, I get there at 4:45 and they are selling the truck to someone else. Super shady. How do you lose keys at a car dealership? We bought a 2018 Chevy Silverado truck from this dealership. Two weeks later, the truck starting smoking so bad that 3 lanes of traffic on the highway backed far away thinking we were going to catch fire. This dealership said nothing was wrong. We persisted with them telling them that we thought the transmission was leaking, dripping, and smoking when under load. We finally got the truck in to be checked out. We were told that a transmission line was bad and replaced it. we took the truck in for an oil change a month later and was told that the transmission gasket was leaking. So, why wasn't that fixed when they worked on the the transmission line? Their response was, " We're sorry we just missed it." What? You were there under the truck working on the transmission lines! We believe this shop is a scam, wanting to charge customers again for another service call that could have been fixed the first time. We will NEVER buy from or recommend this dealership. I had an extremely frustrating experience at Power Chevrolet. It's too bad really, since I've purchased vehicles there in the past and been very happy. Saturday September 29th I stopped by the lot to look at the Chevy Colorado. I was mainly interested in the differences between the 2018 and 2019 models, and I had some questions about the new ZR2 Bison coming out in January. Apparently Saturday afternoons are not a good time to stop by the lot, go figure. They appeared to be having some kind of BBQ, because the sales staff was more interested in stuffing their faces than they were in making a $45,000+ sale. My intent had been to test drive a 4x4 LT and a ZR2, and go from there. Apparently I didn't look like I had enough money to break someone away from their free lunch. When someone did finally wipe their mouth and offer to answer some questions, you would have thought I was asking for help with astrophysics. I've never seen so many shoulder shrugs, or heard "I don't know" so many times. There were at least 5 salespeople sitting, eating, helping no one. I left with no questions answered, no literature, no brochures. It isn't as if I was asking them about Tesla's or Bently's, I was asking them about vehicles they had on the lot. Apparently some of the Chevy salespeople need some Chevy training. You might think this review is a little harsh? Well, as someone who grew up in the car business, and sold cars myself, this was wholly inappropriate. Since my father, Gary Shields also used to work there at Power Chevrolet, I can tell you this. It's a shell of what it used to be. Capitol Chevrolet in Salem and Lassen Chevrolet can handle anything you might need. We bought a Bayliner boat from this place and it has only worked once. The boat would not start so we took it to service department & then We paid them $57 to start the boat. They got it started. It still wouldn't start for us after we left so we called to see if we could come in again to help us trouble shoot. The receptionist said yes you can come in for free and then she talked to the mechanic and he said no, take it to a boat shop. It is obvious why this place has a bad reputation! Don't buy from them! A year ago, my 78 year old father took his Chevy in for service as it would not shift out of park. They kept it for over two weeks, without any communication and did no work on it. He found online, a workaround where he could drive it. After no communication and no work being done, he went to the service manager to retrieve his car, and they handed him the keys with no invoice as, again, no work had been done. A year later he received a notice from the service manager Bradley Cyphert, demanding payment of $140 within 10 days, or legal issues and/or collections would be imminent. He had not received a single bill and again, was handed the keys without an invoice. He raced down to Power Chevrolet to pay the bill as he is very worried about his credit score as he has PTSD from Vietnam and is on social security. According to my 78 year old father, the staff who took his $140 check (for no work being performed) were in his words, "unnecessarily nasty". I write almost no reviews online, and just usually quietly take my business elsewhere when there is an issue, but this one seems pretty serious, as my father is a kind, reasonable man. Let me say That Toby and Keith were great. The sale was fast and painless. And this is where everything has gone south. I originally gave this place a 5 star but it has now been brought to this and I recommend you find a dealership that can take care of the issues or send you the money they owe you in a timely manner. I purchased a vehicle around October 1st and got approved. Told them I wanted to keep my plates but I was in a hurry and needed to sign and get on my way. Few weeks pass and I get plates in the mail and I still have mine so they charged me for new plates. Call them up and explain the issue they seem to understand and they tell me that they will issues the $133 refund and send it out asap. I think I got that refund about 6 weeks ago finally. Second issue I canceled my extended warranty as I had decided to trade the vehicle in and this started back on 12/22/19. I sent the paperwork to them via fax. 12/23/19 they sent it to Allstate. Thats who's does the extended warranties. I was told 8 weeks to get my return and it would be added back onto my loan amount. Finally got tired of waiting so I called Allstate and was told that they sent them the check and it was cashed on February 19th. On March 17th I traded the vehicle in and. called and informed them of the situation. Been told that the check was being signed and sent my way as the loan being in the process of being paid off the money would come to me. As of today I had to call again and now they're telling me that they sent the check to Heritage Credit Union. Again this loan has been paid off. The communication of this dealership is horrid. No call backs when they owe you money. The $133 isn't that big of a issue but when they owe you $5100 they drag their feet even slower. I would highly recommend looking for a better dealership to purchase from that as quick as to take your money as return it when it's owed. read more

I have a Chevy Silverado 1500 and My transmission was skipping and making sounds. I called service centers in Salem to see if I could get an appointment but they were all booked out for 1 week or 2. Called John from the service center he was able to get me in and diagnosed. They ordered the transmission and were able to get it done within the week. He worked with me every step of the way. We came across a few issues, but he had a solution for every one of them. I am more than happy with the service that he provided. They have had our almost $2,000.00 in cash for 2 months now and have given us the run around. First the sent us home with a family vehicle during our rainy season with inoperable windshield wipers. One flew off while we were driving down the highway in pouring down rain. They told me they could not contact my employer when my employer had already sent the information. The managers have spoken horribly to my husband, cussed and hi and belittled him. Today they called and said the bank needs more money down and our process will have to start over becaus my husband needs to be on my insurance. INCORRECT! Took my 2016 Camaro in three times for a problem with the radio and the defroster. First time I took it in to power, the service manager informed me the car was working as designed and there were no problems. The second time I took it into Power they acknowledged a problem, reprogrammed the radio and AC motors, and told me it was fixed. Took it back yet again, and they kept my car for 10 days. In ten days of looking, and supposedly calling a GM field rep out to look at my car, the give it back to me again telling me there is no problem. By the way, during the ten days they had my 5 month old Camaro they gave me a 2013 Chrysler 200 that ran like crap. A freaking Chrysler, talk about ticking me off....... I take the car in to Primasing Motors in Lebanon. Need my first service, so I figured while the car was there, I'd ask them to look at the issues I have been having. They tell me when I come in to get my car that the radio software was out of date so they reprogrammed it. And they found a bad defrost blend motor which was causing the defrost issue.and have ordered it for me. This diagnosis after only two hours! Congratulations Primasing Motors! I will be taking both of my cars there for service from now on and the next vehicles we buy will be from Primasing. read more

Called to ask the service department about a transmission problem and ask about a repair for the problem that is recommended by General Motors. They have a TSB which is a service bulletin that identifies the problem and has a detailed procedure for a fix. I wanted to ask them about it and get a cost estimate. The service advisor was not aware of the bulletin then had to put me on hold to ask someone else, then came back with wrong info. Then told me the procedure would have to be done twice and quoted me double the cost. I have gone to another Chevy Dealer that seems to be more knowledgeable. The bulletin is # 18 NA 355 Is for a transmission shudder / jerking the TSB is General Motors recommendation for fix. However there is also a current lawsuit against General Motors for this problem and more info can be found online. I do want to have the TSB preformed as recommended by General Motors , It is my out of pocket expense , I would expect Service Advisors to be somewhat knowledgeable in this or at least be able to pull up the number of the bulletin, read it and then advise. read more

I found this on the internet after shopping at a Chevy dealer in eugene, or that couldn't give me the deal I wanted on a car because incentives ran out by one day and the eugene dealer would not honor it. I contacted Julie O'Connor via email, not only did she get me the deal I wanted, the whole process was easy and stress free. When I got there she set me up with Greg May, who was friendly and very knowledgeable about the car, even helped me sync my iPhone to the cars Bluetooth and wifi. Also before I left, he personally filled the car up with gas and took window cleaner to the window to remove the glue from the sticker instead of having someone from their detail shop do it. I have bought four vehicles from this place, pretty good experiences. On our last vehicle we purchased a warranty. Took it in to get it fixed and a part that was working is no longer working! I take it back to them less than a week after i get it back and they tell me "these thing happen." And it would cost another $30-50 fee to take it apart (what they just replaced mind you) and see if it is electrical or the part they replaced. I barely had the money to cover my deductable, now they wont stand behind their work?! What a great company..... NOT!!! What kind of business is that. I think its time to find some reputable small time mechanic that will stand by their work. What made it worse is the guy who actually worked on my vehicle would not even look at me, he hid around a corner and did the talking trough kid at the counter. Bob M. was very friendly and he worked hard for me going back and forth to "the man behind the curtain". I'd like to deal with him from here in out. The only bad thing is, I had to wait like an hour and half to get back to finance. After all day of driving, negotiations etc. That was a little tiresome. Power Chevrolet was the worst experience I've ever had. Bought one of their used cars and not even two days later the check engine light came on. The vehicle needed a catalytic converter. I called in and the salesmen Toby told me that i should have know since it was an older car it was gonna have problems basically telling me they can't fix it and that the problem was ours. I told him i didn't want the car anymore and he said that wasn't an option anymore. The vehicle was mine and the $1000+ repair was my problem. Later one of there "managers" jaron called me and said that they'd fix it for $400. I had one of my friends call the dealer and spoke to a salesmen Keith Wilson and asked him about his used car warranty and when he asked Keith told him that they stand by there vehicles and if a check engine light happened right as the vehicle was bought that's they'd fix it. When i told Toby this he said that didn't apply to my car that it was "too old" for it to apply. So they wanted me to pay another $400 on top of the price i just paid to buy the vehicle to fix an issue they sold me. The vehicle technically will not pass emissions testing and cannot be registered outside of Marion county. Which is illegal in the state of Oregon. They wanted my money, got my money and wanted more money to fix an issue that they sold to me. Awful dealership, awful salesmen. As a costumer I'm very disappointed in the was it all went down. People hate dealerships for a reason and this is why. I don't recommend ever going to this dealer. read more

Dealer was recommended for one of their technician's Corvette expertise. First visit went well, except for requesting two diagnosis and him forgetting to do one of them (said it could be taken care of when I returned to finish the work of the diagnosis done). Second visit, not so much. Part ordered from first visit was more than double the cost I was expecting (after discussing it with them!), diagnosis of one problem was complete incorrect (as proven by trusted mechanic who repaired the car), and second diagnosis was "Normal engine noise". On that, I've had one other of these cars/engines, my best friend has had two, and there are at least 3 others I'm familiar with and NONE of them have this "normal" noise. Thinking this dealer just doesn't want to work on middle-aged Corvettes. Maybe they are too complex? Perhaps the dealer got rid of their repair manuals for them? Maybe my money isn't good enough for them? I won't return and I will NOT recommend them to ANYONE (not even my worst enemy...). read more

In response to a casual internet "Ask for a Quote" button on a Spark site, Greg sent me a detailed email telling me about great deal on a 2014 Spark. My wife and I made the short drive from Salem to Sublimity and Greg spent an hour or so showing us the car in detail. Then he worked with his higher-ups to get us the deal we wanted. Later I learned that it was the last Spark EV in the state (for now). Lots of folks are on waiting lists to get one. We bought a car from Greg a couple months back. He was fantastic! No complaints with him. HOWEVER, we got a we owe you for the AC because when we bought it it wasnt blowing cold air and when yoy spend $24k on a used car you expect it to be a good one. When we got the car back it was colder outside so it felt about right. We took it on a road trip and it never blew colder then 60 degrees. Anywhere between 60-75. In AZ that sucks. We made an appt with them while on the road and when I took it in they said, "It's a different part this time and the tech last time I know he checked it with the vac and it was fine". Please!!!! There is no way the guy who helped us check out knew if the tech actually did the job right. They weren't getting paid for it because it was a we owe you. For all we low they half assed the job. Now they want $300 to fix it for the second time. When technically it's the same job. I called Capital Chevrolet and asked for a quote. $123 for the entire job!!! Guess where I'm taking my car...yes Capital Chevrolet. OOOH and don't expect a loaner car with gas, you'll never get it. Both times I had to put gas in it right off the lot. Capital gave me a loaner with a full tank of gas. BOOM bitches!! read more
