Arrogant and condescending is all I can say about this Installer. The most unprofessional shop I've ever been in. This guy bragged about how great he was. He even instructed me on what Sterio to buy for my truck. I went in there with a certain problem. All he did was replace the unit with what he told me to replace and never fixed my problem! So I have a new screen with a bad amplifier ground. Charged me $250 to basically swap units. Heck I could've done that myself. Mr. I know everything about Sterio's doesn't know crap. Within 1hr of my call I came up to the shop & they repaired my issue in less than 30 minutes. Most audio repair shops are closed on Saturday so they are so valuable. We were told about this location for tinting, and happy we went. Brought my coup for an appointment and when the tech saw the back window that I wanted to remove the old bubbled tint and tint again, he let us know immediately he would need more time. I am good with honest, and not rushing a job. Therefore we brought it back the following week for a longer appointment slot. When I came to pick up my car, I was extremely happy with the job provided. I did have some remnants of old tint in the back seat, however they vacuumed the majority. They replaced 11 year old tint flawlessly that looks great and comes with a warranty. The radio was original to the car and they replaced it with a " factory insert " which looks incredible, it now has a smart radio, back up camera, connection to any phone and hands free accessibility for safe driving. Took car to have dashcam installed. From the start guy there had a bad attitude. (Don't know his name but he was Hispanic). But that aside, place is dirty and a mess (not very professional). After waiting for 2 HOURS the installer tells me the parking cable I bought from Garmin is no good. After much deliberation decided to take it off. Saw broken plastic pieces inside the car which I assume they were from some of the panels the guy took out to hardwire the camera. Insisted that I pay the two hours of labor saying that I brought a faulty product. Two days later received new cable from Garmin and came to a "professional" installer. Tested the cable prior to installation and worked. I also had the OLD cable with me as I was going to return it via Amazon but out of curiosity I asked the new installer at Exotic in Delrey Beach to Test the old cable (the one that these guys said was faulty). GUESS WHAT!!! I Works!!! There was nothing wrong with the product. It was the installer that had no clue what he was doing. And they wanted to charge me for labor after all this. I am glad I stood my ground and did not pay. I almost did though. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. I took my older Range Rover to them to upgrade the stereo and navigation system. I was quoted a system that included a Pioneer head unit, an amp, and a complete speaker system. When the installation was done, they used different speakers (and told me only after the fact). Moreover they did not even attempt to connect the steering wheel controls using a Land Rover adapter (available readily). While the quoted price was lower than others in the area, the quality of the job was average and I still don't have steering wheel control, which I will take to another shop to fix. I give it three stars (and not two) simply because the system does work relatively well -- but I came close to a two star rating because I remain dissatisfied that's they didn't care to do a great job. *** UPDATE!!! Absolutely the best place to get you car stereo installed in Boca Raton. Power Audio does excellent work and provides a service that's really hard to find these days. Be prepared to pay for quality, but quality work is what you'll get here. I've seen the two bad reviews dragging these guys down and I think they are both fairly unreasonable and lacking justification. My experience with "Bill" at Power Audio was absolutely excellent on every level. Bill is a true craftsman that does some of the best installation work I've ever seen, so make sure you ask for him by name. I've had a car audio amplifier system removed by Bill where the the car was returned fully stock with no trace of the installation for the lease return inspector to find. By far however, the most impressive work Bill has done for me is the work he did on my motorcycle (Yamaha FJR 1300). Bill installed an integrated radar detection / laser jamming system (Escort 9500ci) so well that it looks like it came from the factory with it installed. The work was simply excellent. Every connection was soldered and every wire was trunked, tied, and wrapped. See pictures of the job attached. Simply excellent work. I know I'm rambling s bit here but as a microcircuitry major in college, I truly understand the quality and effort Bill takes doing his installations. Just wanted to add that we noticed that the tint on the passenger side front window wasn't quite meeting the window seal (they can't apply tint on the portion of the window that slides under the seal or it will start tearing at the edge of the film); I brought the car in to have them redo the window: no problem, no cost, and he was willing to do it that day (he explained that the window on our [cheaply made- by my own admission] car shifted a bit, which it does. In any case, they re-applied new film. They stand by their guarantee. read more

I heavily researched and brought a decent (actually very highly reviewed, better than most $1000 units) DVD/bluetooth/GPS head unit, and had this outfit install it, along with a backup camera into a big SUV. They installed it, but said the steering wheel control interface (Axxess ASWC-1) could not be installed in my vehicle. I told them I saw several reviews about my head unit and vehicle during my research and successfully using this interface. They argued with me about it and said the head unit was cheap, and were generally insulting. In less than 5 minutes, I found the detailed instructions on line to use this interface for my head unit and vehicle. Later I called Axxcess and they verified that it could be used in my vehicle, with my head unit and that the instructions were on their website. I downloaded a copy and will do the install myself since Power Audio and Tint can't handle it. Then, when the head unit was turned on after paying them, the factory subwoofer was buzzing and popping. They said that it was installed properly, that the subwoofer was bad or the head uint was the problem (again). They tried to give me the brush off and send me away, after charging me $285 for this shoddy install. Yes, the backup camera was a difficult and lengthy part of the install as it had to be routed up and through a SUV tailgate all the way to the front. This is why I did not want to do the install myself. That part of the install was fine, but not being able to figure out the interface, and refusing to deal with the popping / non-functional subwoofer was unacceptable. I forced my hand and made them check the connections as it was obvious that this was most likely the problem with the subwoofer since it worked before. Sure enough, it worked fine after that. Yet, they denied a bad or improper connection. The official explanation for the subwoofer problem was, "Maybe the subwoofer on and off setting in the head unit was stuck between on and off. It was off in the unit when we gave it to you. Did you mess with it?" Really? That's the best you can come up with? Umm, no, I turned it on and it didn't work. It only made loud noises that a deaf octogenarian could hear. You mean Power Audio either didn't notice this or didn't care enough to resolve it? This is after the owner stated that he HEARD the subwoofer problem, yet handed the keys over to me and tried to just send me on my way. To boot, they did not even set the clock or set up the head unit in any way, something that a decent shop should do. At the very least, they should turn it on and ensure that it sounds good. Oh, that's right, the owner did notice that it wasn't working right. "Here's your keys!" Unreal. After all of this, and after not even offering a small discount for not installing the steering wheel interface, they didn't even apologize, etc even though I had to act as their quality control division and force them to actually do what they were paid to do. I am very capable of installing these components, I just didn't have to time to do it, and did not have the inclination to route all the wiring from the backup camera. This is why I HIRED THEM to do it. NEVER AGAIN, and I would encourage anyone reading this to run fast and far away from these jackbags. To boot, it is obvious that most of the positive reviews on line were written by the company, as apparently they only do wonderful installs on Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maybach, Aston-Martin, etc. What a load of BS. read more

I lived in West Boca for 20+ years and I can tell you about some businesses that aren't worth our loyalty. This one included. I paid for a lifetime warranty tint on my car. The entire tint bubbled after 4 years, so I took it back. (I lost my receipt) They claimed "We have no way of checking if you were a customer here because, you know, that's just not possible with our computer program". That's so odd....I could clearly see Quickbooks displayed on the screen. Wouldn't you know I am very efficient in Quickbooks! lol Whatever...I guess it was just a screen saver. I had to pay for the darn tint again. I don't believe they are honest people, very arrogant and rude, and I would not recommend them unless it was a "audio/tint" emergency. Customer service is definitely at the bottom of their priorities but "hey, if they don't need your business, who gives a ...., right?". read more

This is a typical car stereo joint that claims to be "experts" and tries to sell you things you don't need. I brought my car in to have the existing system checked for faulty wiring because it was not working. I needed to leave the car all day but they did get it to work. However, the system still had a constant hum and I was told it was probably my amp not the wiring. Their quick fix lasted only a few days before it stopped working again. I replaced the amps but it still did not work. When I brought it back I was told only a mechanic could find the wiring problem and that it was easier to just put in a new amp, new wiring, etc. and that it would cost me $750.00.. And that was on top of almost $100.00 I had already paid just to have the system checked out. The problem was that these experts had no clue as to how the "factory installed" audio system in my car worked. I took it to people that really know what they're doing. With a new resister, (the new stereo was too powerful), the proper type connector, and only 2 hours of labor, the car now sounds great. And I paid only $160.00. I am the type of consumer that does a ton of research when purchasing products or services. When I wanted my windows tinted on a new 2016 Audi A4 this was no exception. I visited five local (Boca & Coral Springs) tint companies and found Power Audio and Tint to be the most knowledgeable & consumer friendly of them all. They were very patient with me as I tried to decide on the color tint I wanted to have installed and gave me terrific guidance that helped in my decision making. The overall job was done with 99% perfection. They would have received a 100% satisfaction rating however, the vehicle should have been wiped down on the inside better. The spray that is used to wet the windows during installation was all over my doors & console. With that said, they still earned a five star rating because the quality of the install itself was done to my high standards.
