Salesman Jeff Reid and USA Insulation didn't deliver on their word. Upon questioning this, Nicole shockingly accused us of bullying them for the promised referral."

After purchasing a home and investigating the attic area i decided to have it reinsulated; contacted USA as they also where known in my home state. The sales rep Jeff was courteous and seemed knowledgeable. Being how an attic reblow is rather straight forward i expressed one basic concern, keeping the soffit area vented properly and the gap area from air flow vents to the top of the exterior wall blocked off or stuffed properly so no insulation would pass into soffit . This would also assist in preventing a strong wind blowing the insulation off the top of the wall and assist in holding the vent in place. This is just something I know from 40 years experience in the business. Jeff assured me he knew what I meant and it would be done properly. Although a little pricey we agreed to proceed. The installers showed to start job, my concern was once again discussed. After completion it appeared that things were in order. when weather changed I noticed condensation forming on the exterior kitchen bulkhead, it was cold to touch and when i pulled a piece of the vinyl soffit off to check, discovered no insulation in bulkhead and now that I am seeing soffit from other side the vents and stuffing they had assured me of were improperly installed. I called and after trying to explain to someone who did not understand problem agreed to show installer when they came. Installer came found bulkhead uninsulated. incorrectly installed more styrofoam vents, blew bulkhead full and called it good. I spent time trying to show drawings, explaining and educating the installer only to be told that that was the way they were taught . I know architects, engineers and people in the know from Owens Corning who will back me up, shame to be forced into that because of ignorance of how to properly install a product. Highly unprofessional. One star for the pleasantness of the helpers.
