I like that Dr. Fattouch cares about my kids' teeth; we have been here since 2012. Maybe we were some of the first patients. My daughter, who is now 14, was having trouble with her tooth, and nobody wanted to see her until I met him. I should've looked at reviews before coming here it all makes sense now. I've had issues with Lupita the office receptionist being completely rude and not knowledgeable about paperwork. The Dentist Dr. Robert Fattouch and Lupita both didn't return my call or email when I submitted my complaint to them Friday and I just called in Tuesday since I haven't heard back from either of them. I had to call in again and got to speak to Lupita and inform her of my complaint about her sending me x rays and a patient summary. Along with them not doing the tooth filling correctly. She would only address the paperwork issue and still wouldn't get me what I needed. They did two fillings on my daughters teeth and didn't do them correctly per another dentist showed me X-rays of a filling not being filled completely. LUPITA IS UNPROFESSIONAL and Rude just like prior reviews state. Not sure about the dentist but never heard back from him and Lupita doesn't help..Won't be coming here again. read more

I got an email that my first review was reported by the business owner. Sad that the owner is reporting my experience at the expense of retaining his ignorant employee. Makes me wonder what else they are trying to hide? I was at this office 2 weeks ago for an appointment for my 3 kids. We've been coming to this office for a few years now but I was extremely disappointed with my visit today. I wish I got the girl name at the front desk with glasses because she was very rude to me and my family. I walked in 8 minutes late to my appointment after having to pull my 3 kids out of school early for this appointment. I was told by that girl with glasses that all 3 appointments have been canceled because the office policy is a 5 minute grace period to be late. That's extremely ridiculous if that's the office policy! 5 minutes isn't even enough time to park! This same girl with glasses was screaming at me in front of my kids and there was 1 other family that was waiting in the lobby witnessing my family getting harassed. She kept saying that's the office policy, and we need to reschedule the appointment. I refused to take her word for it since she was being disrespectful and asked her multiple times if I could speak to someone else. The dr? The office manager? Since it seemed as though English wasn't her 1st language, maybe she wasn't understanding me. She finally let me speak to the nice girl next to her, and she simply went and asked the dr and my kids were able to be seen. Why was that so difficult for her to do? I don't feel I was asking for too much. I wish I read the other poor reviews on here prior to this appointment, which I'm assuming are related to the same girl with glasses. How does the dr run a business with someone so ignorant? For her to be the 1st person everyone sees when they walk into this office is a disgrace! I do not recommend this place and will cancel all future appointments. I hope the Dr. Is aware that he has someone working there that is bringing down his business. Hopefully this review will get seen before it gets reported again by the owner trying to hide bad reviews, yet keep an ignorant employee instead? I have mixed reviews. The dentist is fine and i did feel that he did provide fair and honest evaluations. I have had several issues with the office staff. We have had 2 instances of cancellations WITHOUT email or phone calls. Two separate instances, i took time off of work, took my daughter out of school, and showed up to an office without a dentist. Once (April 2022) the staff was having an office party/professional development day. When i questioned the staff on the last time, they said they had called and needed to verify the number but then two days later, when we came back, they said they fired a receptionist because multiple people had the same issue. I doubted the honesty because the manner communicated seemed disingenuous. Before she hung up, there was not statement such as, "are you there?" It was a quick hang up. I called again today. "Billing wasn't going to be available until next week." I asked when next week i could talk to billing and they hung up on me. The other office rep was quick to indicate that the first rep did apologize. The 2nd rep stated the first rep couldn't hear me but the first rep did answer my questions. read more

The whole staff is very sweet. They were running a little late only due to the fact that they were answering all of the parents questions from the appointment before us. Looking for a pediatric dentist for my kids. Called in the morning to see if they took my insurance. Receptionist was very friendly, but when asked if they take HMO's she said we needed a referral from our General dentist for every visit. She told me to call back after I got a hold of the general dentist, so I did. I called back within 5 min. and was directed to an automated "office is currently closed" message. Tried again a few minutes later and same message. Left a voicemail and it is end of day now and still no call back. Makes me think they don't like HMO patients? Wouldn't have minded if they just told me that rather than being ghosted... Hoping this is not the case and they were just busy, but will leave my comment here in case it's helpful for anyone and will update my review if I get a response back. read more

So Ares' last dentist appointment (which was also his first), wasn't the best experience for either of us. The equipment was old (remember those huge x-ray films you had to bit on and would pinch your gums and cheeks?) and staff didn't speak much English. I felt so bad for my little guy because he ended up crying during the x-ray, that I procrastinated on making his appointment. Fast-forward 1.5 years later (hello, mother of the year): Guilt begins to set in after Ares loses his 2nd tooth since the last appointment. Searched on Denti-cal's website for providers near us. This time, searching specifically for PEDIATRIC dentists. Three providers came up and I called all 3. First one only accepted new Denti-cal patients ages 6 and under. Oops. Next one had 2 offices and only the Escondido office took Dentic-cal patients. Too far. Praying and crossing my fingers while I called the last one... YAY! Dr. Fattouch's office is right off a main road (Pomerado) and very easy to find. Upon entering, memories of dentist visits as a child begin to set in. Highlights magazines on the table, coloring books, video games and a movie playing on tv. Needless to say, Ares felt comfortable right away. He didn't even hear me when I asked if he was doing ok and if he liked this office. Lol. The entire staff was sweet, efficient and professional. I expected Ares to drag me back with him for the x-ray, but he was happy leaving me in the waiting room. When I was finally allowed back to see the little guy, I met Dr. Fattouch. He seemed very comfortable working with children. He was very informative and helpful. NO CAVITES! PHEW! Wondering if they take adult patients?! Ha. Looking forward to our next visit. :) read more

I have to say the place is cute and they have things to engage the clientele. However, I question the charges. I was in the room for 45 minutes and was charged an insane amount of money. When we went through the EOB the receptionist could not explain the difference in the charges on the invoice. In addition, there was no good reason for the large difference in the charges. There are many dentists out there that provide great care but do not try to charge you an arm and a leg for it. read more
