Nice place. I liked it because it had good entertainment, was safe, price was reasonable, workers super friendly, and parking was free

One of the best facilities to enjoy performing arts in the country! Amazing audio and full view of stage anywhere in the hall.

However, we ordered fish tacos that were just inedible. Way too much grease used in cooking. There was nobody available to make a note of it because the lone server was slammed. Bummed but maybe it's worth another shot.

I organized a birthday party here and it was a fantastic experience! I worked with Rebecca, the…read moreevents manager at The Hop Stop, for our party of around 16 people. They set aside a semi-private space on the beer-garden style patio on the side of the restaurant which seemed ideal at first. Unfortunately it was boiling hot that Saturday afternoon, so we ended up moving the party inside where it was much more bearable. The staff was extra helpful with moving my party and provided an extra 6-foot folding table so I could move my setup (my themed backdrop and balloons with a tablecloth I brought). Much appreciated! I loved the relaxed atmosphere and vibe and helpful staff. Food-wise, everything worked out great. I'm used to organizing events where I order a bunch of platters and end up with too many leftovers. The setup here was much better -- they don't do party platters here and encouraged me to order a bunch of appetizers, which I did. It worked out better to do it that way and also have my guests order their own entrees and drinks at the counter and put it all on my tab. The staff also provided drink tickets which were helpful. All the food was delicious and the menu had a wide selection of American pub fare -- burgers, tacos, even salads. And because everyone ordered stuff when they got there all the food was hot and fresh and I didn't have to deal with leftovers! Excellent selection of beers on tap and an overall chill vibe. Parking was great, as there is a private lot in the back of the restaurant in addition to the spaces in front. I was worried parking would be hard because of the Farmers Market ending right before my party but it worked out just fine and guests didn't have any issues with finding parking. We will definitely be back next time we want to organize a party in a restaurant, and also just for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

The live music keeps us coming back every week!!! I however think it's bizarre they charge their musicians full price?!?!?.... It was dead this last Sunday.... And the band had a full bar tab.... How much could a couple beers cost to keep good times going??!! I can tell you... cause i saw the band pay full price??? Lame... no, I'm not a musician... but I really enjoy them here and want it to continue..

It's located in the corner next to T-Mobile in the Poway Plaza on Poway Rd in Poway. There's an open parking lot with ample stalls for customers in the plaza. There was live music when we arrived at around 5pm and apparently really good happy hour of the light bites (peep at menu)! It was BOGO free appetizers from 3-7pm from Sun-Thurs and 3-6pm from Fri-Sat - CRAZY! I've never been to somewhere with that option during peak dinner hours! My boyfriend and I ordered their Surf & Turf Quesadilla and their Crab Cake. The quesadilla was quite good. There wasn't much shrimp but a lot of carne asada which was very tender. There was also a cheese pull! The pico de gallo that came with the quesadilla really impressed my boyfriend that he asked for extra. It was really good LOL nice kick to it as well. The crab cake was not the best at all. The initial bute with the sauce and coleslaw was good! But the following bites were meh. There didn't seem to be any good crab... and the flavor was really meh. We didn't expect the crab cake to have a sauce, so we ended up eating that first and then took half our quesadilla home as it was a lot of food. My boyfriend and I ordered two rounds of Stella Artois, and I thought the beers both times weren't that great. The two rounds didn't have the nice malt sweetness. I did not like the drink at all unfortunately. Overall, that BOGO free appetizer and live music really sold us. The prices of the appetizers were also very good. We'd probably get another drink and appetizer if we're ever here again. Thankfully the appetizer/light bites list was extensive and had a lot to choose from!

NEW FOOD ITEMS * Yuzu Yellowtail Sashimi: Thick-cut slices arranged next to an eye-catching bed of shredded daikon, carrots, and greens. The plating was striking and matched the freshness of the fish. * Pinku Rolls: Yellowtail slices draped over spicy tuna rolls. The presentation was charming, with the pieces circling a heart-shaped cherry tomato in a nest of shredded veggies. * The Hot Night Roll: Generous slices of fresh yellowtail and salmon draped over a spicy tuna roll. * Curried Eggplant: Rich and flavorful chopped eggplant with harissa, tahini, and herbs. A great veggie option. SERVICE & VENUE * Special thanks to Anthony for the consistent and friendly service during this visit! * The bar area is darker and the volume rises as the crowd rolls in during the evenings. The dining area is brighter with the chandelier and open kitchen area. The patio is also available for fresh air and an open feel.

I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. They all work really hard. With love, The birthday girl
