My daughter loves her teachers and dancing here, and as a mom (and someone whose own experience in dance was the old school approach where you were pushed beyond what was actually appropriate for your young body/mind) I appreciate that proper form and alignment are taught, even from a very early age, in a way that is recognizes her as an individual and builds her self esteem. And although the owners and instructors here are former professional dancers and each accomplished in their own rights, I love that the message at this studio is "LDI for all", whether your goal is for a future in the dance world, or just a nurturing environment for your child to learn discipline and movement. 5 stars!!!

Every single staff member trains proper technique and your child will grow leaps and bounds in a really loving environment. The parent community there is wonderful, as well. My 6-year old daughter has been attending LDI for about 1.5 years and participated in 1-week of their Jr. Ballet Intensive summer programs this week. So much was covered in 5-days and she was excited to share about the yoga session, wellness session, learning choreography, ballet, jazz, hip-hop! The 30-minute show at the end of the week was so impressive! We are grateful to have found this studio and would recommend them over and over again!

They have all the classic snacks, but they're definitely on the pricier side, we just grabbed popcorn, a slushy, and some candy. The layout is pretty straightforward: bathrooms are upstairs (women's on the left, men's on the right), and all the theaters are downstairs. The seats were a highlight, they recline and even have heating, which I've never seen before in a movie theater. The movie itself wasn't exactly what I expected, but still interesting to watch. Just be prepared there were about 45 minutes of ads beforehand. Overall, really great experience, and I'd definitely recommend checking out this AMC!

While staffing challenges are understandable, these changes have diminished some of the features that previously distinguished this location. Overall, it remains a solid theater in an excellent location, and I hope AMC will consider restoring some of the services and menu options that previously contributed to a more elevated experience.

Adjoining ASA Bakery is also on-site, serving creative, too-pretty-to-eat pastries and matcha drinks. Honestly, the $24 price tag for a movie experience might seem steep, but other movies theaters are in and around that price anyways. At The Lot, at least you're getting comfortable, plush seats, a seemingly private viewing experience with your partner in your recline-ready love seat, food and drink wait service at your seat (if you desire it), and superb picture with okay enough sound. On that note, some cons: -We recently watched The Odyssey and some of the scenes were blaringly LOUD to the point where my ears felt like they could bleed. They do not divulge their sound system either, only that it's "high-end". The sound could definitely use better balance. -Mentioned love seats are very apparent upon booking now, making selection easy with no confusion. The theaters do cater to them so if you're in a group, you'll feel far from them. -Try as we might to pay in person, we could not avoid the service fee applied to all sales. Service fees are my biggest gripe, enough to teeter this rating. The atmosphere though is rather spectacular, so some things are to be ignored. -No true matinee prices unless you're a member. $20-22, otherwise, on Wednesday's for non-members.

Unfortunately, due to public transportation, I was unable to make it to the theater as early as I wanted. My movie started @ 1:30, but I didn't make it inside until about 1:40 or so. The trailers were still playing, but the lights were off inside and the other guests seemed to already have their food/drinks. So, I attribute some of the mishap to that. However, there were less than ten people in the theater. So, keep that in mind as well. I ordered poke nachos, a popcorn, and a soda. Pretty simple order, right? My "host" brought out the popcorn + drink pretty swiftly. The popcorn tasted stale, just like another time I'd visited. Even though I'm pretty sure their 1:30 movies are their first showing. About halfway through the movie, I pressed the call button because I still hadn't received my nachos. The host said, "They might be ready now. Let me check." Translation: "I forgot them." That was pretty annoying. Especially as this is the third time something like this has occurred at The Lot. And I've only been three times in total. Luckily, the popcorn was free because it was my birthday, which I had to remind the host twice before he tried charging me. Do not order it unless you enjoy stale popcorn. The nachos and ginger ale were tasty, though. Overall, the vibe/setup is nice for viewing films. I only which the service and attention to detail was better.

They show feature movies on the weekend and during the week old tv shows, cartoons, and seasonal stuff. It runs from sundown until around 10 or 11pm every day of the year. It can be a little hard to find, but if you can locate LA Fitness or Old Spaghetti Factory, you're getting warmer. It's nestled between Pizza Nova and Ryan Bros Coffee. Lots of free parking. They've also hosted the annual San Marcos Student Film Festival 2 years running, which is usually in June, and again free to the public. The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is that it is COLD in the winter, and WET when its rainy ...not that there's a real solution to that, other than a blanket and an umbrella.... Expect kids running around, outdoor noise from cars and conversation, but its all part of the fun. Did I mention its all FREE?

(The Friday movies tend to be older/more obscure). It's right in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and there's a fire pit if you get cold. Though not "pristine" movie viewing conditions, it's free and its outdoors and did I mention it's Free?. A rad way to spend a few hours some Saturday night taking in a flick. Bring your own blanket (and chair if you've got one, seating can be limited) and re-live the golden age of drive ins, that you probably weren't alive for in the first place.

Great fun last night at the Poway Community Theater's performance of Sir Noel Coward's "Private Lives". In 1983, while living in LA, my husband & I saw Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton perform the same play at a small local theater. Aside from seeing Taylor & Burton, can't say that we enjoyed this production any less. True to original brilliant play, great acting, impressive set design, very cozy, home-like reception area, easy to find, plenty of parking. And our NYC relatives think that you have to go there to see great, fun plays! read more

This play is so well acted. Transitions are seamless. This play is hilarious! Next stop? New York would not surprise any of us, who came to see it. The staff at The Playhouse is so warm and welcoming. Both young and old are well taken care of. And guess what? I'm buying a subscription! You cannot beat this for local theatre. If you have balcony seating, there are no elevators so you will have to take the stairs..which are quite numerous ....important to know if you have walking limitations.

The performance was wonderful and the voices of the cast were absolutely beautiful. The theater itself is large and you can see very well. I'm not very tall and even though people were seated in front of me I had a perfect view of the stage. The seats are comfortable and the ushers are very helpful. I believe there are concession stands on every floor as well as bars where you can get soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. The concessions are quite expensive but you expect that when you're at a theater of any kind. Very easy to find parking in the area. There is a large parking structure right next to the Civic Center as well as different parking lots where you can easily just park and walk across the street to the theater. The only rule that I have seen is that you do not bring in a bag that is larger than 12 in by 12 in. You go through a back check and walk through a metal detector but that's pretty common for any type of concert as well. Inside is very comfortable and I always enjoy coming here for a performance.

It remained closed until 2008 where it was restored and now it full of performances from comedy shows, plays and music. On this first time visit I came here to see Bobby Lee's stand up performance. Our seats were in the balcony level way above. At this level it is a little diffcult to see the stage as you have to angle your head down wards to see the stage. Viewable but its very far. The seats are very tiny and it difficult to walk across as every inch is used up in the theatre. Acoustic were great and the overall detail and restoration is amazing to look at. Great theatre venue overall but would recommend not sitting in balcony.

The last play I saw was Viet Gone, and the first play since COVID was The Great Khan which I got a pleasure to attend. If you enjoy performing arts, come and see it for yourself. I wish I could take some shots during the performance, but it was strictly prohibited. The facility was designed very unique, you get to walk down and even further deeper down to reach the main stage, yet everything else got pretty well maintained except for the construction next door right now, I really don't know what they're going to do with the old Horton Plaza, although it was dearly missed. Parking was easy, some meters are expired after 6 PM, if you don't mind walking a few blocks like me, some expired at 8 PM, then you might have to put in a few bucks, but that's downtown for you, I think everyone else would rather pay valet and enjoy their sit down during the show, am I right?
