The great thing about it is that you can check out the book for 30 days! Yes 30 days! And can only be renewed up to 5 times. Once someone places it on hold, you will not be able to renew it. I checked one book out for fun reading. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

HOW DARE YOU! In…read moreMay, shortly after my mother passed away, I went into the PQ Library to notify them of my mom's death and return several books she had checked out. The staff member at the front desk immediately recognized my moms name (she frequently taught classes, checked out books and was an avid community member). The lady at the desk showed genuine compassion, gave me a hug, shared kind stories about her, and assured me that my mom's account would be updated and that any remaining or future book issues would be taken care of. I left feeling grateful during an incredibly difficult time. Fast forward six months later--my sister and I received a Past Due Notice for a book still under my deceased mother's account. I called the library to resolve it and spoke with Adrian. I explained that my mother had passed away and that this had already been handled in person. His response was simply, "That's unfortunate--we have an entirely new staff." No condolences. No empathy. After giving him my mom's information, he put me on hold and then transferred me to his manager, Ywen--without explaining anything to her. She answered the phone asking how she could help, forcing me to relive and explain my mother's death all over again. When I expressed how upsetting this was, I was told, "Unfortunately, you're going to have to." Again--no sympathy, no compassion. When I pointed out the complete lack of customer service and basic humanity, Ywen told me to call back when I could "gather myself" and then hung up on me. To make matters worse, I was told I would need my deceased mother's library card to resolve the issue. Losing a parent is devastating. Being forced to repeatedly explain it--and being treated with indifference and disrespect--was completely unacceptable. The contrast between the kindness shown in May and the behavior of the current staff is shocking. If you have a loved one who passes away, apparently, you'd better hang on to their library card--because compassion is no longer guaranteed here.

Me and him go to the CD area, as we are both huge music enthusiasts. We see a person on the computers, and my friend looks over, and sees him watching PORN in the public library. We were disgusted to see this in a place where kids and families, even STUDENTS come to study, chill, or pass time. The fact an older man is sitting on the Library computers and watching explicit and adult content is disgusting, and should be addressed. Me and him had both addressed this to the librarians, to no avail, nothing was done. Parents and kids beware, there is a creep in the library.

Bob quickly reminded me that Thursdays are "Thrifty Thursdays" at the book store, with BOGO (buy one, get one) item specials. This Thrifty Thursday was BOGO on Children's items. Bob is a great resource and reminded me that the bookstore sells some donated items directly on Amazon to benefit their nonprofit. I don't go to libraries very often but after visiting the 4S Ranch Library, it definitely was a…read morepretty nice library. It's a little small but it has a lot of amenities. There's a section to pick up reserved books, purchase used books, a self check out, plenty of computer workstations, printers, and two 3D printers. There's also plenty of chairs, tables and counters with outlets for studying. The children's section is pretty extensive, which is nice. The library also has many activities for children and adults throughout the month on their calendar. The staff were friendly and helpful and the library overall was pretty clean and organized. Since the library itself is a little small, it's not the most quiet but I didn't see it as an issue. Overall a great library for all ages!

The volunteer who knows how to use things didn't come in that day. No one who works at the library knows how to use the equipment. Ine gentleman even complained about the equipment being there (like it was ruining his life). 3. I waited, as they mentioned the volunteer always comes in. Maybe he just couldn't find parking? 4. I waited almost an hour. No one ever came. 5. Good thing I had a book to read. (Get it, library...book...yehhhh). Plus for being clean amd smelling like books. I love this store and often visit on the way to pick up my son from school, or on the way to the lake to walk or jog. I love the staff- they are super friendly and fun. My only disappointment is that when books do not sell, they actually dump them in the recycling out back which I accidentally discovered when I went to recycle a can. I am a book lover and it made me so sad. I discovered the bin completely full of books. Eeek! Please bring the Book Nook back and don't throw away any more books!

It sits in the middle of the campus and you walk across a bridge to access the front desk area. There are lots of places to go to study in quiet and privacy. When I was there, a class was actually being held in the library. Alliant International University is interesting because it prepares students for professional careers of service and leadership in psychology, education, business, law and forensics. Alliant has lots of international students and the campus is very multi-cultural & diverse. Approximately 1,200 graduate students and 150 undergraduate students are enrolled here on the 120-acres of rolling, tree-bedecked Scripps Ranch campus. The Walter Library, which was recently remodeled, is also "home to the San Diego circulating and reference collection of over 60,000 titles and part of both the Alliant library system and of the Link+ library network, through which students have access to over thirty million volumes," according to the Alliant University website. 5 YELP STARS for Alliant University's Walter Library.

Mira Mesa College is one of the wide colleges yet with the color of the color the buildings in grey brick with the large milar sign at the front. Instead of actually patrolling they sit and wait at stop signs on streets then nobody's driving on just to see how many people they can give a ticket instead of patrolling on the busier streets where people actually run the stop signs. They wait in parking lots of establishments to harass people walking out of bars or other restaurants instead of patrolling. When one person it's pulled over for a basic traffic stop it's not uncommon for about five cop cars to swarm that same person for a minor speeding offense like a hive of bees. Some of them don't even abide by their own traffic laws this includes cutting people off, speeding using their cell phones. One officer actually parked in front of a grocery store in the Red Zone just to go inside and Shop. It is a do as I say not as I do type of agency. It does no good to complain or file any sort of formal grievance because the same Bad actors will still be in power unfortunately. Instead of protecting and serving they bully people or don't help the ones who are really distressed.
