Marzia, the owner, is gracious and made an excellent wine recommendation from the region, a super Tuscan which was mostly Sangiovese with a 10% Cabernet to give it a deep, bold taste. My husbands cod was fresh and flaky with a hint of bread crumbs and Tuscan beans. My traditional Tuscan soup was more like a saucy southern dressing than a brothy soup but very filling and warm on a chilly day. My husbands cuddlefish soup was excellent (a little salty for me, but I don't eat a lot of salt so probably perfect for most). The warm apple pie dessert with custard was also outstanding. I am not a big sweets gal but have to admit I had more than my usual one bite taste. Perfecto!
