My one piece of advice would be, if you see a bargin, grab it while you can as it may not be there next time you go. The staff are friendly and helpful but don't know themselves what is going to be on the next delivery. There is a small car park attached to store but this is often full, there is a council pay and display carpark just across the road. A shop well worth popping into regularly to spot a bargin or two.

I'm not a huge fan of this place, especially as it comes at the cost of local business. If you are a regular user of stores like 'Poundland' then this shop is right up your alley; they have a very similar product range, stocking everything from perfume to breakfast cereal. I mainly come here for the energy drinks (4 for 99p). I would say that if you're looking for bargains, 99p store has a few, although so do all of the other nearby stores and so too does Sainsbury with the basics range of products.

The shop pretends to be a cheap place, while has some bad quality stuff with triple the price of similar stuff in other shops and never cuts a key which can work at all. The old design and decor looked like something out of the 1980s so a refit was long overdue. The store now looks much brighter and fresher with some departments (particularly homeware) being improved enormously. The shop is very large, over two floors, with a restaurant on the upper floor. The ground floor, where the ladies ranges are, is still a bit chaotic as there are hundreds of clothes rails crammed in. I've always found the shoe ranges great value for money, the same is true of underwear and costume jewellery. The men's department on the upper floor seems smaller than before the refit, but the homeware section is now fantastic. There are some excellent value items which could pass for designer. Bedding and towels wash really well and last for ages. Well done to BHS for a great transformation.
