This store has a pretty limited range due to its modest (but by no means small) size although you can at least always pick up the basics here and more besides. They often sell out of the best offers, or at least don't restock the shelves quickly or often enough if they do hold more stock. As is typical of Sainsburys the prices are usually a little more expensive than their rivals such as Tesco and Asda and they don't have to try very hard in this branch since they have a monopoly in Redhill (not counting Iceland which has an even more limited range). Their reductions on short dated products are about the least generous of any supernarket that I visit. They open nice and early in the morning (think it's now changed to 6am) but it would certainly be helpful if they opened later than 10pm at night. The staff are reasonably helpful when they want to be although some of them just make up store policy and coupon acceptance rules as they go along. Planning permission has been granted to extend the store by a significant amount in the future, so this should help with getting more product lines available here, e.g. frozen food currently only has half an aisle. I dread to think how disruptive it will be when they start the work, clearly demonstrating how badly the council has failed at allowing a competitor to serve the town. Asda is finally coming to Redhill but is still several years away! read more
