Good place to go if you are starting a new home and need loads of basic bits and can't afford to spend a lot lets face it who can when they're just starting out eh! You do have to watch the quality on some of the stuff, I've seen bits in there which yeah they're cheap, but they're so flimsy it would be false economy buying them as you'd waste money in the long run coz they'd only last 10 minutes. It's also pretty inaccessible if you need a wheelchair, the isles aren't wide enough to get one round, and I don't think they have a lift so you wouldn't be able to get upstairs. Add to that the big step at the door and it's not an easy shop to access unless you're walking.

Although at a glance these larger sizes aren't cheap, if you look at the prices you pay elsewhere for the same stuff, they're actually pretty good, although it's not really great that just because you're a bit bigger you have to pay double the cost for stuff. I got a shirt in here for a family member who was moaning he was struggling to find something and he was really pleased with it. It's not a fancy store, pretty basic looking inside and out, and they don't stand on ceremony here, so don't expect it. What you will get is friendly, helpful and good value.

I've noticed the premises is always kept clean and there's rarely any rowdy or offensive behaviour. The market has some bargains, you can find the odd great summer dress for £5. It's open every day except Mondays and Wednesdays. It gets crowded on weekends, but that's to be expected in any City shopping centre. You get the odd bird flying around, too. Also, I'm not sure what the fountain is now, there used to be a gorgeous fountain near Nandos and it's been covered over.

Although i dont agree with it being the largest shopping center (it may be largest as in space taken up, but lakeside/bluewater etc are on 2 floors and i think there are more shops in these) It still was worth a visit. All the shops you would expect to find in a typical shopping center, with shops ranging for all budgets. I was slightly disappointed as i couldnt find a 'designer' shop - such as Choice/cecil gee etc like in london, but then i was looking for Ugg boots and they had an Office so i managed to get them anyway. Just thought there would be a 'higher class shop' - But then i suppose because HOF sells quite a few designers, they dont need one. A good variety of shops and Food places, clean and staff are helpful. I do find the layout slightly confusing, i have been there about 5 times now and i couldnt tell you where a certain shop was - there are loads of side alleys and different entrances etc - got a bit confusing! Also some shops are repeated (H Samuels and a sports shop etc) although apart from that it was a good day out. I like the center of the shopping center with the fountains etc, and the exhibitions they have on are great! Good entertainment always and a great day out!

The staff are lovely, really friendly and chatty and always happy to help, especially in the fitting rooms. The sale sections are usually really good here, especially considering the small size of the shop, but to be honest, this wouldn't be enough to satisfy me on a regular basis. My opinion? Just shop Topshop online (ESPECIALLY EBAY IF YOU DONT MIND SECOND HAND) if there isn't a bigger Topshop near you. They have an okay selection if you happen to be going past, but nothing worth getting out of bed for.

It is quite a small store from the front but it does go back quite a way so there are women's clothes at the front, a small footwear section in the middle and then lingerie, with Topman up stairs. The store has quite a nice layout and has quite a spacious feel to it when you walk in. It is on a split level with a couple of steps in the middle. The window displays and the displays instore are good and eyecatching, but I often find it really hard to actually find the items that the mannequins are wearing. The staff are friendly and I have had no problems in this store. If you like clothes shopping then it is worth a visit but you may find cheaper clothes elsewhere. There is free parking in the Grosvenor centre in which this store is situated.

Very good at getting hold of specific comics. Happy to keep standing orders for regular customers. They also hold regular signings with famous comic writers and artists such as Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neil. This is the sister shop to one in Bedord.

If you are looking for the latest chart title books then you won't find it here, but what you will find is cheap books that maybe came out a little while ago, but instead of paying around £10 to £15 for them, they are usually between £2 and £5 for hardbacks. I often pop in for a browse and end up treating myself to another autobiography because they are so cheap. It can get a little crowded in here especially at the weekend as it is not a really big shop and the displays in the middle often make it difficult to get around the whole store, but if they weren't there then there wouldn't be as much to choose from. You can pick up some great children's gifts in here and it's a great place to go to if you or your children like art and crafts.
