I don't know how the system works as some of the stock they have was in Argos six or seven years ago (where has it been in the meantime?) but it's well worth a look. The items are good quality and have been well stored, but the shop can be very difficult to get around. There is just a massive amount of stock there, and it is often not clearly marked (plain brown boxes etc). So you may have to do some digging around, and keep your eyes peeled. You could miss some great stuff! I think the place could do with its own catalogue, but that's probably not viable considering they likely get daily deliveries of random old Argos stock. So heartily recommended, but you have to go in with either a great amount of luck or a lot of time to really get the most out of it.

There are plenty of such places in Peterborough, however Sue Ryder Vintage is by far and away the most impressive. Set over two storeys they have everything from vintage fashion (with designer brands not uncommon) to old cameras, retro video games and collectibles from the last century going all the way into antiquities. There is also a large collection of vintage records on offer as well. There is truly something for everyone here whether you are going in simply to browse or have intent to find that one special item. The staff here are all enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. It is nice to visit a vintage store and have passionate people to talk shop with as it were. This definitely adds to the atmosphere of the place which is something that you will definitely want to soak up and enjoy. The icing on the cake for me is that the prices are very reasonable for what is on offer and often, I find things for less than I see them going for on ebay and the like. Whenever I am in town I always pop into Sue Ryder Vintage and I can only recommend that you do too. It is really a place where you can kill a few hours poking your nose into corners and discovering some fantastic bits of history for sale.

For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Rock Bottom is a discount store selling a wide variety of different items at rock bottom prices…read more They sell kids toys and bits for around the house from cushions to tin openers and all sorts of other bits. Good place to go if you are starting a new home and need loads of basic bits and can't afford to spend a lot lets face it who can when they're just starting out eh! You do have to watch the quality on some of the stuff, I've seen bits in there which yeah they're cheap, but they're so flimsy it would be false economy buying them as you'd waste money in the long run coz they'd only last 10 minutes. It's also pretty inaccessible if you need a wheelchair, the isles aren't wide enough to get one round, and I don't think they have a lift so you wouldn't be able to get upstairs. Add to that the big step at the door and it's not an easy shop to access unless you're walking.

I want to praise the centre for its amazing mother and baby facilities. It's so clean. I love the breastfeeding rooms with the privacy curtains. I love the fact I can breastfeed my baby and my son can use to the touchscreen game while he waits for me. This is such a help for shopping with two children five and under...thank you!

I've noticed the premises is always kept clean and there's rarely any rowdy or offensive behaviour. The market has some bargains, you can find the odd great summer dress for £5. It's open every day except Mondays and Wednesdays. It gets crowded on weekends, but that's to be expected in any City shopping centre. You get the odd bird flying around, too. Also, I'm not sure what the fountain is now, there used to be a gorgeous fountain near Nandos and it's been covered over.

The man in the bright day light takes your money without any shame and then accuses you of racism! He charged me £7 to cut 2 keys, not working. twice I took them to the shop for a refund. The third time he refunded me on my debit card. The next day I checked and realized rather than refunding he had taken another £7! I went there, burst into anger and asked for my £14 or will call the police! He was laughing at me what did the police do? When he noticed I was serious, refunded me in cash. There was a CCTV there, recording all that happened. He lied to the police I spat on him and called him a bad name! It is now recorded in the police station. In the future, be aware if he wants to play the race card, he has at least one record in this regard at the police station BE MINDFUL WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD, HE GETS MONEY OUT OF IT WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT AND WITH NO SHAME, IN THE BRIGHT DAYLIGHT!
