So much in one little shop…read more I popped in this morning just as they were opening (9am) and the two people working inside were so cheerful! I have never met a friendly saturday morning worker in my life, it was great to be met with a big beaming smile. Even though I couldn't find what I was after (some self adhesive wall hooks, stron enough to hold a coat - any ideas anyone?) I had a great experience in this 'find pretty much anything you are after' store! From pet accessories to allen key sets and wierd and wonderfull collection of goods.

On the contrary it's one of those magical shops that has whatever it is you're looking for. I go in for incense, they have it. I go in for a present for my niece, they have it. The inside of the shop is nothing fancy time looks as though it has stood still here for a long time. However, the shop is packed with nearly every conceivable household item you could imagine (excluding furniture and appliances). If you are familiar with Latif and Sons in Birmingham City Centre, think of this shop of a condensed version of the same type of store. Another way of describing it is as 'Northfield's General Store' - everything from kitchenware, cleaning products, garden, diy, computer and automotive accessories are in stock at very reasonable prices. I managed to buy a bunch of last minute Christmas presents here this last year and I had never thought a shop on Northfield could offer such choice, quality and value. The couple who run the shop are lovely too; very friendly. Also, If there is something you are after and they don't stock it, they are happy to source it for you. Often I have bought items from larger stores and supermarkets only to find the same products sold here at a cheaper price. I now usually pop in and check here first if I am after something in particular before shopping around It saves the disappointment! Definitely recommended, especially if you are setting up home and need a local, independent shop to buy the basics!

Those reviews here belong to a long time ago when an old lady was managing the store and customers were happy. As long as Abdul, the new agent is running the store, it is awful! In fact the current seller of this shop is not a normal person at all. The shop pretends to be a cheap place, while has some bad quality stuff with triple the price of similar stuff in other shops and never cuts a key which can work at all. The man in the bright day light takes your money without any shame and then accuses you of racism! He charged me £7 to cut 2 keys, not working. twice I took them to the shop for a refund. The third time he refunded me on my debit card. The next day I checked and realized rather than refunding he had taken another £7! I went there, burst into anger and asked for my £14 or will call the police! He was laughing at me what did the police do? When he noticed I was serious, refunded me in cash. There was a CCTV there, recording all that happened. He lied to the police I spat on him and called him a bad name! It is now recorded in the police station. In the future, be aware if he wants to play the race card, he has at least one record in this regard at the police station BE MINDFUL WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD, HE GETS MONEY OUT OF IT WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT AND WITH NO SHAME, IN THE BRIGHT DAYLIGHT!

Clovers is a good shop!…read more I visited the one in Berinsfield before I realised there was one in Wantage, and they are both quite similar in terms of size and what they sell. They have a huge range of stuff from toiletries to suitcases, and loads of storage boxes which for some reason always really appeal to me! They are also very cheap! They are situated next to the pound shop in wantage, and are much better in my opinion!

I recently got some Finish Dishwasher powder in there. The packaging was printed in Japanese or something, but it was obviously the genuine article. It is a bit like Poundland, but a penny different. You might be able to get one or two things for the children's Christmas stockings in there, as well as wrapping paper and cards. Car parking is in a pay and display car park nearby.

It is about 30 or 40 miles away on country roads, but as it had been advertised so far and wide, I thought that it must be something special. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is in a huge warehouse that feels cold and draughty, and the stock is spread throughout the place really quite sparsely. There were one or two famous names, but these were at higher prices than you would expect to pay down any high street. Most of the stock was very mediocre, and the staff seemed to realise that they were working at an over priced market stall, because their attitude was extremely off hand and unpleasant. My visit here was one of the biggest wastes of a day I have ever had.

It sells hayfever medicine cheaper than anywhere else in town and there are all the main brands of shampoos, hair dyes and moisturisers etc at cut prices. I don't know how they do it but it's worth taking a detour if your toiletry stocks are running low.

They stock washing basics, toiletries, make up, baby bits, and now they've started stocking some food too! On top of all the things here that are already cheaper than usual, they always have offers on. The main draw are their prices; I just paid 89p for Vaseline, the new Loreal Perfect Colour 10 hair dye for £3.99, and 20 bin liners for 69p. It isn't as if you're getting lower quality for a lower price, as all their items are of known brands. A really great shop to save some pennies!
