I have never met a friendly saturday morning worker in my life, it was great to be met with a big beaming smile. Even though I couldn't find what I was after (some self adhesive wall hooks, stron enough to hold a coat - any ideas anyone?) I had a great experience in this 'find pretty much anything you are after' store! From pet accessories to allen key sets and wierd and wonderfull collection of goods.

I don't know how the system works as some of the stock they have was in Argos six or seven years ago (where has it been in the meantime?) but it's well worth a look. The items are good quality and have been well stored, but the shop can be very difficult to get around. There is just a massive amount of stock there, and it is often not clearly marked (plain brown boxes etc). So you may have to do some digging around, and keep your eyes peeled. You could miss some great stuff! I think the place could do with its own catalogue, but that's probably not viable considering they likely get daily deliveries of random old Argos stock. So heartily recommended, but you have to go in with either a great amount of luck or a lot of time to really get the most out of it.

I already found a great old cannon camera I'm thinking about going back for tomorrow. The staff I met were all very young and will help you look for things that you can't find on the shop floor. What you're getting here is redundant stock and nearly out of date food at cheap prices. Admittedly there are some cheap, low quality products in there but pick and choose what you buy. Quite a lot of the food is heavily discounted compared to supermarkets which is great, the only problem is that the next time you go back they might not have the same product. Generally this doesn't bother me, for example they've always got discounted crisps but not necessarily the same brand. I have once experienced a product being poor because it was close to its sell by date but I've saved so much over other products its not a worry. The shop has loads of selection and such a wide range of products that whenever we need something at home I pop in to Buyology to see if they've got it. I haven't had much experience dealing with the staff but the one time I did ask if they had any more stock of an item a gentleman checked their delivery that had just arrived and got me another one - he did say it was rare being able to get it that easy off the delivery but half the thing for me is that he actually made the effort to go and look.

Now its a Buyology Store its packed with goods (many of them still in cardboard boxes) and it takes a while to walk around the whole store. The stock is typical of most discounts stores and prices are low as you would expect. I think these shops can be useful for buying little things that you don't want to spend too much on and I usually buy things like candles, stationery or pens from Buyology. This shop has a large stock of children's books and games but not of them looks worth buying! I recently bought a cheap dictionary and a thesaurus from Buyology, which was a mistake as they have hardly any words in them! The dictionary doesn't even include Aardvark!

It's not that their shop is so vast that it's impossible to find things, it's just that they carry such a diverse range of stock that things are not always easy to find. It's a case of there being a bit of this and a bit of that, and so it's difficult for consistency to be achieved in the layout in certain areas of the shop. They stock a good range of cleaning equipment and household items as well as a variety of tools, fancy goods, gifts and toys as well as the gardening range.

The inside of the shop is nothing fancy time looks as though it has stood still here for a long time. However, the shop is packed with nearly every conceivable household item you could imagine (excluding furniture and appliances). If you are familiar with Latif and Sons in Birmingham City Centre, think of this shop of a condensed version of the same type of store. Another way of describing it is as 'Northfield's General Store' - everything from kitchenware, cleaning products, garden, diy, computer and automotive accessories are in stock at very reasonable prices. I managed to buy a bunch of last minute Christmas presents here this last year and I had never thought a shop on Northfield could offer such choice, quality and value. The couple who run the shop are lovely too; very friendly. Also, If there is something you are after and they don't stock it, they are happy to source it for you. Often I have bought items from larger stores and supermarkets only to find the same products sold here at a cheaper price. I now usually pop in and check here first if I am after something in particular before shopping around It saves the disappointment! Definitely recommended, especially if you are setting up home and need a local, independent shop to buy the basics!

In fact the current seller of this shop is not a normal person at all. I went there, burst into anger and asked for my £14 or will call the police! He was laughing at me what did the police do? When he noticed I was serious, refunded me in cash. There was a CCTV there, recording all that happened. He lied to the police I spat on him and called him a bad name! It is now recorded in the police station. In the future, be aware if he wants to play the race card, he has at least one record in this regard at the police station BE MINDFUL WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD, HE GETS MONEY OUT OF IT WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT AND WITH NO SHAME, IN THE BRIGHT DAYLIGHT!
