So much in one little shop. I popped in this morning just as they were opening (9am) and the two people working inside were so cheerful! I have never met a friendly saturday morning worker in my life, it was great to be met with a big beaming smile. Even though I couldn't find what I was after (some self adhesive wall hooks, stron enough to hold a coat - any ideas anyone?) On the contrary it's one of those magical shops that has whatever it is you're looking for. I go in for incense, they have it. I go in for a present for my niece, they have it. Spilling out onto the streets, all the bits and bobs you could possibly need to make a house a home can all be swiped up here. Don't you just love those shops that seem to have nothing that you want but everything that you need! I mean who's house wouldn't be complete without a wire cased bird feeder capable of holding two slices of bread for you to hang up in your garden or a pack of 20 lighters, which if your lucky may last a day each. The Trading Post has absolutely everything you may want at good prices, I managed to get myself a few rolls of electrical tape and a random selection of tools in this place, which I wasn't entirley sure I needed but I thought they would be a very good investment for the future (at the time of writing they still remain in their blue & white stripped carrier bag). The Trading Post gives an enjoyable break from those high street stores on a Saturday morning when you are in desperate need for those new heels! read more

Bad experience on-line with DiscountSuperstore.co.uk Well I'm quite amazed to see a single positive review of this company given the experience I've had. I'm sure this was due to the fact that none of these reviewers had to deal with the entirely incompetent DiscountSuperstore.co.uk returns department. I've spent WEEKS trying to convince them that what they supplied me was incorrect. They refused to admit it. Finally I get this reply admitting they supplied the incorrect goods but implying that I should be happy with what I got even though it's not what I ordered. I should be happy because these items have a "slightly better" design to the ones I ordered. "Thank you for your email. I understand the differences you are referring to however these do not effect the use of the product therefore are a what we class as a minor differance. Its only the shape of the nozzle and the direction of the top twisting tap which is not the same. Infact these are slightly better in form as you are able to also attach a hose if you needed to (i.e to water the garden etc) as the shape of the output nozzle allows for this. We have sold many of these and have not had any come back as of yet or any complaints. However saying this if you really do not want this item then this is your prerogative and we accept that." Please note that for weeks they claimed they had supplied the right items even claiming that the differences in what I received from what I ordered was due to the zoom of the photograph. "We still believe we sent you the correct goods as advertised on our website. The codes on the products match the code on our website and pictures on our website are not to scale. We matched the picture to the item on our website and shape and placement of parts of the item are exactly as pictured. This simply means that the items picture may have been taken in a zoom making it appear larger or smaller." They claim to have lost the items although I returned them a few days later. Best independent shop ive seen! Discounthomecentre.co.uk is a great shop and website! Ive ordered off the website several times now for free reserve and collect in store! The staff are so friendly and helpful, and now that they have launched a website, you can literally get everything (home, garden, DIY, gifts, toys etc) from this one stop shop at brilliantly low prices! The shop is small however, very packed and could do with a bit of updating! But this adds to the shops charm and i always take my time looking around and sure enough find what i want, or i just ask the staff and they locate what i need instantly! read more
