If you've ever had a recipe you've been dying to try that needs something like lemon grass that's virtually impossible to find in your everyday supermarket (and often even then the price is usually pretty extortionate) then Central's your place. It's also a fantastic source of frozen fish other than your bog standard cod or haddock, such as red mullet. There's a good vegetable section although if you know what you're cooking in advance some of those ingredients can be found cheaper elsewhere (most of the major supermarkets sell mooli (long white radish) and fresh ginger nowadays). If you're someone who's careful about best before dates then it's worth checking them first on some products here as they can sometimes be a bit close.

The overall look and feel of the store is indistinguishable to any Sainsbury's Local I have visited, they also support Smart Shop, where you are able to use the Sainsbury's Smartshop app to scan items as you're walking around the store, and then use your phone to pay and leave. The only difference I noticed about this store compared to other Sainsbury's Local locations, was how the milk was displayed on a metal milk crate, rather than the traditional open refrigerated shelf. The store was reasonably clean I did notice the selection of to-go food and drink to be quite pricey, perhaps this is to push people towards purchasing a meal deal. (With a lack of gluten-free options on here other than an awful seeded bread sandwich if you're lucky, this isn't something I'd go for) They do close at 10 pm here, which could catch out-of-town visitors off guard, as Sainsbury's Local stores are usually open until 11 pm, the extra hour is crucial for me so it is a shame they close this store early, especially as their is a lack of alternatives nearby. 3*

Honestly, the furniture/ homeware/ spa is a little too pricey, but I really like the food. I'm willing to pay a bit more for food if I know it's coming from an ethical and local place. Anyway, it's a truly beautiful farm and a great place to stop by if you're in the area.

There's also a nice range of kitchen equipment which is especially great for gifts. There's also a nice coffee shop and a few other shops; a baby shop, Angel shop, garden design, kitchen design. In the summer they do pick your own fruit - strawberries in particular. At Christmas they sell christmas trees (although none still with roots), local turkeys and also Christmas happers of local produce.
