But no mention of "World Cuisine" or "international foods" on the signage. Are we just supposed to intuitively know that the powers-that-be at Tesco, when they say "pasta," they mean all these other things as well? I had to go up and down the aisles, searching for rice noodles or something similar, no employee in sight, finally had to ask a very kind gentleman who was wearing a Tesco jacket but was a driver off-duty doing his own shopping! Get the signage right, hire enough employees to provide a modicum of customer service. 4. overall impression is of a messy, dirty store 5. The ink cartridges deposited for recycling and Clubcard points are either being stolen by employees or handled so incompetently that it amounts to negligence. Why have a program if you cannot run it properly? I deposited 6 over the past three months and was credited for one. This is too much of a repeat experience to be a mere mistake. Tesco, don't annoy your customers with so-called services that you cannot execute properly. Either do the job well or don't do it at all.

Morrisons in Banbury is on the whole a good shopping experience, but some of the staff let the…read moreside down. I have no problem being polite but it's not reciprocated. The self service tills are usually staffed by friendly personnel but then there are exceptions. When the red light starts flashing above your till because you need assistance the scowl appears. I dared to ask about getting my store card scanned and was told it didn't matter...it didn't matter to the staff member but it mattered to me, every penny counts these days. I feel a bit petty bringing this up, but being polite costs nothing but getting a small discount with a store card does. Have a nice day.

The central location (and free parking in walking distance of the town center) make it a worthwhile stop for your weekly shop. They have one of the best selections of fresh produce in town (negating the market of course), as well as fish, meat, rotisserie and deli counters. There's a large cafe with plenty of sub-£5 meals, as well as promotions running throughout the year. Much quieter than the super-Tesco and a lot cheaper than Sainsburys at the top of the hill!

One of the few traditional freezer centers left, Iceland is ideal for stocking up on frozen ready…read moremeals, pizzas, ice cream and chips. The layout is very simple, the pricing is very easy (everything is a round pound) and they also have a selection of groceries. Steer clear of their fresh produce - it's not why people shop there and consequently, they don't have much and it hangs around. Free delivery is available on orders over £25 - very handy as it is a nightmare to park there.
