The finished work was great, but it was supposed to be a four day job and it took six weeks. Unfortunately, there was one issue after another with their employees and them being able to get the correct merchandise. This was a remodel for a 96 year old lady to have the tub taken out and a walk-in shower put in. Their communication with GroupMe was mediocre at best however they sure did want to get paid immediately. I would not recommend them. They were expensive and like I said four or five day job took six weeks. read more

I'll never call this company again for anything. They had great difficulty laying carpet with a pattern and I think I ended up spending way more than I should have. The project manager quit before my carpet was installed. What a farce. I think I have enough leftover carpet to use in my office. That's really professional, not! Update: Now Poulin cannot find my records. Danielle will remember me as she was my salesperson. The project manager was Steve who couldn't measure properly or figure out how to lay a patterned carpet. I thought I posted a lengthy review prior but I don't see it. This is the short version of my experience through Hell. For me to reach out to Poulin again would be more waste of my time. The carpet is on the floor and looks great. As well it should after 3 thousand dollars to carpet a Master bedroom. read more

yes i had my floor done, they used luxury vinyl, they told me it was better than Laminate, omg, it dont look good, it started ripping up after 5 month they said they would come out to look at it but they didnt, i had to contact the subcontractors and they came and fixed, then they called and said they would like to come out and look at the floor, but they never showed, it doesnt match my other floor like they said, and the designer, omg said to me and my girlfriend, lets see how much more money i can sucker out of you, so, all and all bad service, the floor, is not durable and wont last. designer didnt match my other floor, so i think im pretty much out 12k just to do 4 bedrooms with a cheap vinyl, not happy and will never use them again. mark read more

Was excited to get my bathroom remodel in the works. Set it all up back in October of 2021. It's now mid April and still don't have squat. Keep getting excuses of supply chain problems. Then was told everything was in and work would get scheduled mid-March. Then was told again, they were still waiting on materials. I've been more than patient. They took the money and I'm making payments, but haven't a thing to show for it. What a big big disappointment this has become. And now after seeing the other comments here, if the work ever gets done, I may be looking at some even bigger problems. It all just makes me want to cry. read more

"The bathroom redecoration will take about four months to begin. Our team will arrive at 7:30 AM on a Monday and will be finished on that Friday." That was the impression with which my wife and I were left when we agreed to the deal. The four months was correct. Our impression that the "team" would descend upon our bathroom like flies on a drop of honey did not appear to have been correct. We had one "fly" he came at 10:30 AM on a Wednesday and it looks now as if he will be finished next Tuesday which will not be five (as your website states: New bath in 5 days or less), but thirteen days. We have no problem with the people involved. Everyone has been easy to deal with and we feel you have our best interest in mind. But something is very wrong with the process. The best marketing tool any company has is, "word of mouth." This is usually based on the latest contact with the company-- the delivery of the product. Poulin dropped the ball on the delivery. We all know what it's like to have a critical room like a bathroom basically out of service for any time, not to mention almost two weeks, when that could have been avoided. This is not the fault of our "team" of one leader. He is doing all he can with what he's got, which is basically himself. We personally would have waited even longer than the four months if we could indeed have a team that finished a quality job in as short a time as possible. Quality and speedy job completion should be the objective of each team. You have good people. But they are prisoners of the process. Don't start a job you can't complete in a mutually agreeable time frame. Give your field people the resources they need to keep the customer happy. They should not be around enough that they become part of the family. read more

I contacted this company for a bid to redo my floors. It was a fairly large job. I spoke with Jessie who did the initial work up of the bid and she was knowledgeable and professional. Going forward, there were some issues with communication but we were able to resolve them. The crew showed up on the designated date and time and work began. I was impressed from the beginning with the efficiency of the crew and the care which they took to my things as they removed the furniture etc. The project involved ripping out bamboo floors and tile on the ground floor and tile and carpet in the upstairs. The plan was critical since myself and animals would be living there during the project. The project manager and I developed a plan. As the demolition and construction began, I was happy with the work. Some days they appeared to work fewer hours than I would've thought was the best idea. I am mentioning that because as the project begin to draw to a close, they started rushing their work. This company would've had a better review had this not happened. Upon completion, as I was preparing to clean and replace my furniture I found a number of issues. I called and complained and most of these issues were fixed although a couple of them I had not found at the time I made the call. I don't believe I should've had to have called, however. Poulin represents themselves as a top quality company and as such, a walk-through and inspection at the conclusion should've been part of the project. That being said, the company contacted me again and we discussed the issues at length. The project manager and foreman came out today and addressed all the issues. Then there was a follow up call from someone in management. At this point, I would probably hire them again. I can understand how issues can happen and many companies do not make the effort to make it right if there are problems. Poulin went to great lengths to assure that I was satisfied. That is very important and sadly hard to find in the world today. read more

Installed a new master bath and partial remodel of a smaller bath. Work done well and in a timely manner. Actual labor hours to perform work much less than was projected by Poulin Rep. so we paid much more than we should have. Would look to other companies for a better value read more

I can't write about a finished product, because 6 months later and $1200 for useless plans, we don't have a bathroom remodel. The salesman was late for most meetings, never on time for delivered reports, and the final product was outrageously expensive. Salesman cared less about what we wanted and much more about selling his products, which felt mass-produced and definitely not custom. Went in to discuss a remodel project, and not having certainty about the costing, told the Rep my budget to which he belittled the entire visit. I was told over the phone that free estimates were provided, however the Rep after telling me over 20 times how ridiculous my budget was, said that the estimate would cost $800. I do not recommend these people, unless you want to be treated poorly right out of the gate. I may spend twice the amount I originally projected, but it certainly won't be with Poulin. Went into the Poulin Design Showroom on a Tuesday after lunch to look around at what they had to offer and schedule an appointment for some Kitchen remodeling and Bath remodeling. A guy sitting behind the reception desk did NOT greet me or even smile one time. I told him what my #1 focus was new Kitchen countertops in quartz first. He took me to a quartz display and returned to his reception desk - that was pretty much it. There were NO other customers in the Showroom when I was there, but their was little to no effort to help me or engage in fact finding of what brought me there. Another woman was there just talking to another woman. The place seemed unfriendly, unhelpful, and unimpressive. It felt unwelcoming there. So I looked around by myself a little and headed out to leave but first I asked the unfriendly guy at the desk for his card. I was very surprised to see that he was one of their Design Consultants. I just knew I didn't want to work with someone as unfriendly as he was and make my 2 projects unpleasant. So I left and felt relieved to be out of that cold unfriendly environment lacking in customer service. I did NOT schedule an Appointment either for my Kitchen or Bath Remodels. read more

We went to Poulin for installation of new hardwood floor, and couldn't have been more disappointed with their lack of professionalism and poor customer service. They ripped out our floors before checking to make sure they had the right product to install - which they didn't. It took almost 3 MONTHS for them to reorder and finally finish a relatively small home project. They often did not respond to communication requests during that time, and their guys showed up wanting to be paid before the job was finished. DO NOT GO TO POULIN - you will be sorely disappointed. read more

We used Poulin for a complete master bathroom remodel. We were happy with the entire Poulin organization. We were impressed with Jason and Richard, who not only did a wonderful job, were always on time and kept us informed on their progress daily. These gentleman were professional in their work and pleasant to work with and went out of their way to minimize the disruption to our lives. They completed our job ahead of schedule and left our home as clean as it was before they started. We are absolutely thrilled with our finished product and would recommend Poulin to our friends. In fact, when the time comes for any remodeling project we would contract with Poulin and request Jason and Richard to do the work. read more

Home Depot gave these guys my name for a bathroom remodel. I needed a bathtub and surround taken out, a shower put in. The part I wanted installed was 531$ at Home Depot. Brent called the night before, told me the company does nothing for under 5k, that what I wanted would cost 6800$ approx, (sight unseen) and that they don't USE HOME DEPOT PRODUCTS! Brent was very condescending and rude, and I've got to say, this is the last company I'd go to for anything. read more

Have been trying for over a year to get them to correct a problem with the installation of wood flooring. They claim that you should not have wood flooring in New Mexico although they are they ones that sold it to me. You cannot call and actually talk to anyone except the receptionist so why bother to list a phone number? I am so glad that I did not have them do my bathroom remodel. I spent a lot of money with them to get such poor customer service. Oh, and by the way, you cannot actually talk to their "Customer Service" department. You have to leave a message and they may never get back to you. read more

The project team does not know what they are doing. Order incorrect materials and takes 2 weeks to order correct materials. Don't know the correct way to transition from one floor to another. Installers don't know how to put joints for transitions in non high traffic areas and leave gaps that are too wide to be covered by baseboards or heater vents. Left nails in floor at doorway when installing transition. No phone calls or communication to coordinate work schedule or to let you know the status of your materials. Owner seems unable to get his staff to follow through, still waiting for a phone call after 2 weeks. read more

Wish we had found these reviews prior to starting our project. Nothing but delays, lack of communication, right hand not knowing what left hand said/did.... Our two projects were supposed to be done before Thanksgiving and here we are a week later and the problems continue. The floors were supposed to be done by Halloween and, while they just finished, some other tile work has not yet begun. I only give them 2 stars because, generally, the people are nice and the quality has been pretty good so far. For waht we have paid, I am not happy. They also like to find ways to add to the cost - such as $100/bag of floor leveler (costs about $35/40 pound bag) read more

Scheduled an appointment with kitchen design. Had to set appt 3 weeks in advance. Showed up to appt. Opens at 10 am. No one at front desk but several customers inside. Finally someone upstairs didn't come down but asked what I was there for. I said we had an appt with Reuben. He said oh I am Reuben but I have someone scheduled. Then told us the scheduler at the front desk would be in in any moment. 10 minutes later a girl comes in ripped jeans- should have been a sign of lack of professionalism. I tell her. She says oh let me see. She types a couple of things then says uh sorry I only have two designers today but we could reschedule you. There must have been a glitch in the database. I said no thanks I will find a company that is professional. I plan to call Tom Monday who is the manager. My time is valuable and the double booking was only a small part of the issue the lack of concern was the most frustrating. I have several friends who are looking at remodeling and I will definitely tell them do not go to Poulin design read more

Too expensive and the customers time is not important. It took 7 weeks just to get a design for a partial small kitchen remodel and gave them $450. Then when I got the estimate, nothing was itemized. Went to 2 other places and got measures and estimates in one week. Both were half the price of Poulins. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company from the President/Owner to Sales! They will say anything to get you to sign on the dotted line, then when they get your 1/2 $ down you never hear from them! I canceled my contract and they refunded me some of the money, charging me for things that never happened! Run, don't walk away from this company! read more

Poplin did a remodel of floors, counter tops, bathroom, tile six years ago, we had a water leak in laundry room that did not show on the floor, it was in the wall, my floor in the laundry room and entry to back yard door began to buckle up, contacted Poulin they came and gave an estimate and a time frame of one day to complete the work, we now contacted a plumber to repair the leak, start to finish this job ended up taking a month, multiple trips down to our home which is 45 miles from their office, the job was completed, with more hours and trip trip time than on the contract, they did not charge us any more for the labor material or extra trips, they went way beyond for us and we are so grateful, great job, super people that helped us, would use them over and over again read more

Poulin did a large bathroom remodel for us in which the designer made mistakes which were then handed over to the actual workers. The designer also never showed up once work was actually started. The project was supposed to take 5-6 weeks and took five months. Some errors were fixed. The tub was put up against the wrong wall and rather than putting another hole in the slab (which contains our radiant heat), we decided to live with that mistake. The workers did a good job and the materials are good quality. However, for the prices they charge, it should be top quality materials and top workmanship. Initially, Poulin tried to make me pay for the man hours involved in fixing their multiple errors. I wrote them a three page letter documenting all the errors and then they agreed to pay for the additional work. They also agreed to tile the wall where the bathtub was placed against the wall. In the end the bathroom is nice but took way too long and with too much hassle. I felt that for the price the process should have been more seamless. Also, their installers do a great job but they have a complicated hierarchy in their organization that makes it difficult to easily get problems addressed. I would never recommend them or work with them again. read more
