Completely dishonest and Unprofessional. I went to the Poughkeepsie office for Immigration Purposes. I paid $300 cash on the first day and then decided not to go back. Dr. Mazumdar got mad and hung up on me when I started to ask logical questions, trying to point out her SCAMS. USCIS should revoke her designation as a civil surgeon. Wish I could give her a negative star. I am planning to file a complaint with the New York State Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC), and Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). This practice triple bills my insurance every visit. They love an EKG. Ear infection? EKG. Sprained ankle? EKG. The billing department is inept and the front desk is rude. I have been four times and not once has the doctor examined me - it's outsourced to nurse practitioners even though my appointments have been scheduled with the doctor. The office is disgusting. They lost my blood. Most aggressive pap of my life. They called someone else with my lab results. They had me get undressed for an exam and then remembered they didn't get my height/weight so they had me walk through the hallway to the scale in a paper tank top. read more

This is the worse medical practice I've ever experienced. The front reception is ok. They try to help but the doctors are terrible. They have no regard for there patient. I went in the office to get Covid test. 2 days and still no results. Medications are never just sent at appointment. I have to constantly call before medication sent. Monthly medication that should automatically refill. They make you come into the office so they can bill your insurance. They do testing in office blood , ultrasound and EKGs and preform these test when you don't need the test just to get the money. The medical practice of insurance fraud I believe occur frequently and I personally have reported and any patient experiencing the same should also report it. Something needs to be done about this practice. they dont deserve a star but that's your only option in posting reviews. read more

Once in while someone will reach out to me to let me know they too had a very bad experience at this office . One women suggested we put a lawsuit together and another to get their practicing license revoked. I have heard some of their horror stories and each and every one them never mentioned about filling a Prescription or looking for a pain killers. They talk about how they were treated or not treated like people, Incorrect diagnosis, rudeness, condition of the facility, wrong blood work results and yes the outrages bills that they have received . My wife was there to get immigration medical. They charged 100% as a package upfront before allowed her to get in the office. After one year some collection agency called and had hard time to figure it out. After that I am going there every week last 3 month and every time they keep saying they are going to fix it right the way. But they did nothing and now it is in all her credit report. By this time we learned everything extremely negative about their practice from many corner what we don't want to mention here. Dr. Mazumdar is the best doctor and a lifesaver. My mother has been her patient for 21 years. Dr. Mazumdar has been there for my mother through the stages of deterioration that old age brings us. My mother is 93 years old and has multiple health problems and Dr. Mazumdar addresses each of her complaints in great detail. I, as my mother's primary caregiver, am confident that my mother is in good hands. We have no problem getting appointments and we are always diagnosed right. Dr. Mazumdar's office provides home visits, over the phone med refills and helps me to seamlessly navigate my mother's care with my busy schedule with work and raising 5 kids of my own. She is honest and determined to help her patients with utmost sincerity. Excellent staff and physician and nurse practitioners, they follow the healthcare guide lines and big in preventive care management. I made my husband see Dr Fruchter but once he was on emergency day off and happened to see Dr Mazumdar, she is very thorough and caring and detailed oriented, because of her my husband got colonoscopy and found to have colon cancer and than god he went through surgery at Westchester Medical Center and is doing fine. I have read few reviews but the ones that are bad are all disgruntled people may be are looking for narcotics and I know Dr Mazumdar is very tough in giving opioids to drug seekers. I would highly recommend her and her team to everyone. read more

OMG!!! I have been a patient for 3yrs. I have had so much trouble getting meds I need to help me with my illness. I get the wrong prescriptions, sometimes I don't get my meds for a month the office help is useless, rude, and play high school games with the patients. Bob is the only decent person there. Go to this health provider not only is the staff extremely rude but the doctors are just as rude, the last two times I've gone they've given me an issue and even argued with me over what I was saying. I had gone in to go over blood work for a job I was applying too and they had argued with me over the information I was giving them despite having all the physical copies of where I had gone for my blood work they told me I was wrong until one of the nurses called finally got it faxed over. I had also given them all the paperwork and fax information they needed for them to send over to this job and they took it upon themselves to "email" my job instead which was a lie because they didn't receive any information from the office. Dr.Mazumdar ruins this place. She is honestly the most unprofessional person I ever came across. I dont see her personally but she owns the office, my first experience with her was years ago for whatever reason She went over my blood work and didnt really specifiy anything she saw but yet she told me several medications she was prescribing me while trying to rush me out the door. Before leaving her room I asked what each medication was for and one of them she said was for a urinary tract infection..... now Im a healthy male with no signs of UTI. I didnt take the medication and low and behold my following visit I sat with my usual PA and told him what happened, he couldnt believe it. Shes a hack who doesnt care about patient health. She just cares about money in her pocket. Which is why they now test covid patients who come in a different door but get tested where you see it at the end of hallway. The personnel testing does not wear PPE and once there done theyll walk right by you after theyre done as youre being weighed.... Go somewhere else where youll actually be treated. read more

Padding the bills with soo many services I didn't receive.... really how did I get a "oral dental exam", a $2,500 urine drug screen charge which was left out unmarked on end of counter in hallway with other urine specimens on the counter. Who does that? Any drug screening tests I've had "sent out to lab" I had my name on and I watched my dr out my specimen in the then sealed & locked bag to be mailed out along with my signature. I had Several other services charged to my bill that was never received. I requested itemized detailed information or each code and descriptions each service charged just to be ignored and now I receive a collection letter. I don't think so Dr M!! U R A CROOK!! U are the laziest dr I've ever met and with all my diseases I've seen a lot and NEVER had one write prescriptions and not be examined at all! NEVER seen such a dirty, unorganized office that's just pushing Suboxone on everybody who calls 4 appt. The lobby is FULL all day long of Sub Seekers and now ur a No Questions asked Medical Marijuana Approver!!! How do I know?? I have been a patient of the Poughkeepsie Medical Group since 1973 and my children were seen by the Pediatricians associated with the group. Dr. Mazumdar is very thorough and conservative in her treatments. I have several conditions which she monitors and treats them well. She has followed up test results via email or a phone calls. I have been able to schedule an appointment for emergency visits in a very timely fashion. read more

Once when they gave me my lab results (blood work) the sheet said I'm 80 - I'm 35! Yesterday I scheduled an appointment for 10 am. This morning j checked in at the front desk snd took a seat. After an hour, naturally, I was upset and the receptionist told me I was scheduled for 11 am. She was completely unapologetic and when I asked her why she didn't say something about me showing up an hour early to my appointment she had no answer. Poughkeepsie medical group is owned by Dr Sumita. Her only interest is in making money I had Dr Hoffman for over 10 years. I was greatly satisfied with Dr Hoffman. After he retired a year ago, I was told I ll be seen by Dr Sumita w/i the same Pok medical group. I had 3 appointments so far with Dr Sumita. For all 3 appointments I was checked by her assistants. I never got a chance to speak to her or be checked by her. I have type 2 diabetes. Her assistant would only write me prescription for one refill, insisting for multiple visits per year ( once a month) so they can rake in the money. Each time I received my insurance EOB I saw items that did not relate to my visit. You can judge for yourself. read more
