Okay, I'm gonna tell you a story about how I found my stalking skills to be very very sharp. So sharp you should be scared. So acute you should be hiding your wife, your kids, your pets...
Call me creepy, but I found out about this restaurant because I was at Beni's Falafel in Makati one night when a bunch of people in chef's whites and kitchen outfits (telltale black and white-checked pants and Crocs/clogs) came in, possibly for their end-of-shift chow. One of the guys from that group is the very good looking guy in a chef's jacket, and I didn't know about Potts Point until I saw it on the embroidery of his chef's jacket. Actually, it was just "Potts Point" and then his last name "Chef Torres". (Yes, being the creep that I am, I looked that closely). This guy's mestizo looks and super thick eyebrows just floored me. He is so hot I felt like I had to applaud as he went in and settled at a nearby table with his friends.
One Google Advance Search was all it took for me to find out that the guy who took my breath away (Hala ang landi ko) was Chef James Torres, one of the guys who established this cool concept and glocalized Australian label. I had to go, of course, not only because sobrang gwapo ng chef, but also, because my Google Search yielded that Potts Point was a healthy and green restaurant.
I actually loved the Spinach Mac N' Cheese, but it wasn't the best I've ever tried. The interiors were really nicely done, too, but what I noticed was the sharp smell coming from the kitchen. The place smelled a lot like grease, and the stench clung to my clothes. This would have been a great idea in the making, but the execution is quite "meh", to be honest. I was a little disappointed, but since gwapo si Chef, patawarin. Hahaha read more
