Although there are many restaurants at the food court of RCBC Plaza, I was drawn to Bleu for coffee and dessert. It's all because of the restaurant's location, which is at a corner near one of the bridgeways that connect the two towers of RCBC Plaza. Plus, even from the outside, anyone could see that Bleu has clean and crisp table setting.
I had just eaten from a fastfood place nearby and I wanted to have a place to chat and hang out with my friend before the lunch crowd arrived in droves.
I chose a chocolate cake from their revolving glass dessert stand and a regular cup of café latte. Even if I was not interested in any meal at the time, I still took peek at their menu to learn more about what the place offers. Apparently, they serve Western, Mediterranean, and Filipino dishes. Their open kitchen was another thing that caught my attention. I wondered how chefs could work under pressure in a small elevated kitchen for everyone to see.
I liked my coffee and the moist chocolate cake, which tasted so much better because it was slightly heated before being served. The server was also very attentive that our glasses of water were always filled before we could even ask. With such service and attention to detail, I'm looking forward to sampling their main dishes soon. read more
