We like our new Pottery Barn rug/pad. The white glove service was the 1-star part of this experience. The white glove delivery/install experience by WIlliams-Sonoma/Hipolito Seattle, WA with Ryder Service was not worth the cost charged. My son and daughter will be here today to help me install the rug/pad correctly. We were considering addition purchase but will not use Pottery Barn for a new couch and rug if we have to go through the delivery Install service. Had I known, I would have put it in my SUV and installed them myself. The rug/pad were not aligned or centered. Pad was showing on one end, and they had no clue that we had purchased a pad with our new rug. I typically don't shop at higher end retail stores like Pottery Barn, but wanted to stop in and look at their curtains. I just couldn't find good quality curtains on Amazon, and wanted to see in person if the curtains here were worth the price point. I was worried the sales associates would be pretentious and wouldn't greet me. I was greeted by Iris who was kind enough to talk with me about whether or not I wanted to go with ivory or white blackout curtains. I fell in love with their curtains because of the quality of the material. I was very impressed. I ordered the rod and curtain rings with clips as well. It was not a big shock when I looked at the total price of the items. I knew what to expect. Pottery Barn, and it's sister company Williams-Sonoma, have always been an addiction for me. But sanity usually prevails, since my Scottish heritage prevents me from paying retail. Yes, the various items I like and want to buy in Pottery Barn are expensive. So it's like watching something on E-bay and deciding when it's time to step in and buy. LOL. On our most recent visit, I went looking for some battery operated candles. We have several with timers throughout house, but none are LED. So the batteries only last so long and are not very green. So, since this was before Christmas, many of their prices hadn't yet been marked-down. One, eight inch candle was $89.99. LOL. Today, they're market 50% off (see photos). So why the Four Stars and not Two, or One? Well, even with online retailers, it's hard to find good quality. Yes, you can find it cheaper, but in my experience the less expensive (cheap quality) don't last very long. Sadly, I've thrown out a few. So Four Stars for quality and value. Minus One Star for ridiculous mark-ups. So now it's off to Williams-Sonoma, to see if their Fortnum & Mason Breakfast Tea is on sale yet. LOL read more

She pointed out to me some of the accessories and furniture she had on order. The way items are organized and displayed are impressive. They offer design services and my daughter found a very nice lady, who was assisting her find fabrics and other accessories for her home. Strolling through Pottery Barn is just so much fun. As soon as I enter I feel immediately calm, yet inspired. It's so darn homey, in a classy way. The furnishings and accessories are lovely but not cheap. Whatever you buy there takes some decision making. Can I find this same thing, cheaper, someplace else? Well, no, probably not of the same quality. I am giving Pottery Barn 4 stars, instead of 5. One reason is, I don't recall ever being greeted there. Not one single, "Hello". Weird. It's not that I like salespeople all over me as I'm browsing, but being greeted would add to the classiness of my shopping experience. The other reason is because their decor doesn't match the way we furnish our home. I'll still stroll though on occasion. It's still a fun place and who knows? First off, I ordered two end tables and I only got one; the one that I didn't receive apparently is on backorder, even though they are the exact same end table and I ordered them at the same time. It took three months to get just one of them, and I am still waiting for the other one. Their customer service is terrible. Second, I ordered a decorative woven basket set and on one of them that seams don't match up which is very obvious. I would attach a picture, but yelp will not let me. The staff and store manager went out of their way to get us the two extra chairs from a different store when another store was making it challenging for us to get it as we can only purchase it in store which is about 70 miles away. On our way to San Diego stopped in checking out the actual product shown on their website. My wife loved the finishing and weight of the table. I want to start by saying that Fabi at the Temecula store was great to work with. Unfortunately, PB's customer service is extremely poor and I will never purchase from them again. On 10/18/23, I made a significant purchase which was supposed to be delivered before Thanksgiving. After multiple delays on PB's part, I requested a split delivery, which was initially denied. I was finally able to speak with a supervisor who promised to get the split delivery scheduled "ASAP" so I could have 2 of the pieces before Christmas. After another week went by without a delivery date, I attempted to cancel the entire order but was told that was not possible as 2 of the items had already arrived at the hub. It took several more phone calls and emails to get the order cancelled. Unfortunately, at the time of purchase I opened a Capital One Pottery Barn card to earn rewards for future purchases. By the time the order was cancelled, I had already accrued $97.50 in interest charges. Capital One will only waive $50, so I am out $47.50 for furniture that Pottery Barn was unable to deliver. read more

I ordered in August and I didn't get it until end of December. I bought a beautiful sectional in back in 2020 that took months to get . Since then one of the cushion seems to have feather's alway poking out of it . So I washed the covers as directed to keep it looking clean and bright. I continually see feathers on my area rug. I placed an order claim to see what they could do and Pottery Barn said they only cover their couches for 1 year, well of course the sales lady didn't say that. I bought other furniture from Bassett/ Restoration Hardware and Ethan Allen. They have way better customer service/ warranty's. Granted it buy the insurance its well worth it. Thank you for that. She is consistently professional and easy to work with. Five stars for Natasha. I wish I could give zero stars. A manager, Deborah Lee is the worst, most unprofessional person. She should be ashamed of her behavior to her customers and to fellow PB employees at another store. A rude and superior complex comes to mind! She has been like this on multiple occasions to us and I have witnessed her being rude to a different customer as I was waiting in line to be rung up. We purchased 6 Italian leather stools today. We had to drive around to several stores to purchase all six due to limited stock of that stool in each store. That was no problem and our choice to do the driving. Upon purchasing at the very last location to complete the set, we were informed that the stools were actually on sale and they would honor the online price. The manager said it was the Pottery Barn's policy to match their online prices. Upon knowing that, we called the other two locations- where we had purchased some of the stools, earlier in the day to get a price adjustment. The UTC location was so helpful and was willing to do the price adjustment to match online and refund via phone to save us another drive. No issues at all. However, so began the games and rudeness upon calling the PB - Temecula store and speaking with Deborah Lee ( manager) to ask for the price adjustment. Firstly, she lectured and argued with my husband for about 10 minutes on the phone. She was trying to accuse him ( which you should never do that with a customer) of stacking discounts. That was not the case at all. We were merely trying to get the online price nothing more ( just like we had when we purchased the last of the stools to complete the set). We know they do not stack any type of discount. Initially, she flat out refused to do the price adjustment. Her explanation was that if we had bought it online, we would had to have paid for shipping, so we didn't deserve the sale price ( these stools were not cheap - $300/a piece) and a refund because we bought them in the store. What kind of messed up logic is that? That is not your company's policy and FYI- there was free shipping online so we wouldn't have paid for shipping if we had ordered them. You just can't make up crap and say that to a customer. Then, she said we would need to call back on Monday then come in to speak with Natasha who had originally rang us up at the non-sale price. Why- you're the manager?Answer- to be awkward. Then, as a last resort, she said she could do it but would require us to drive all the way back to her store to do it ( 1hour 20 minutes away)- trying to make it so inconvenient we wouldn't go, all the while knowing that she could have done it over the phone. Secondly, she demanded that we go back to the PB store to speak with the sales associate that rang us up at the last location where we completed the set. We walked all the way back through the mall to the PB so she could speak with her ( under the impression she was going to ask her to do the price adjustment for us there) when we handed her our phone. No, instead she wanted to be rude to the sales associate, scare her and then demand to speak to her store manager. She was so rude to her fellow employee. That is what upset me the most. To try to make a fellow employee feel like they are below her is just plain awful. What kind of leadership is that? Especially since this associate (who was lovely) had done nothing wrong. The store manager in the final location we were at apologized for Deborah and did all the price adjustments no problem and confirmed everything was correct and that was exactly the policy. So basically this PB in Temecula has gone rogue and makes up policies as they see fit. I will never buy from that store again. The way that Deborah Lee treated her fellow associate, albeit a different store, but still, there is no excuse for that. Shameful!!!! This should not come as a surprise because I called the Temecula PB store back and told Deborah my feelings on how disgusted I was that she had treated another employee badly and had behaved in a shameful manor toward us. read more

When I tried to reschedule I was told I would need to go into the store and meet with the designer before the could come out. I am upset because on their website they solicit in home appointments. They encourage you to schedule online. They send a confirmation. There is no mention of requiring a store visit first or no mention of no services on the weekend. Visited this location to look for a new sectional and dining room table. Upon arrival my husband and I (I am white and my husband is Hispanic but looks white) walked in along with another couple (Hispanic gentleman and white lady) who walked in behind us. We walked around the front portion of the store and looked at the sectional and table they had set up. One of the store associates (Hispanic gentleman) who saw both my husband and I walk in along with the other couple walked toward us and then saw the other couple and went straight over to them and asked if they needed any help. I was seriously blown away. I made eye contact with this associate and smiled and he walked right past me. Now was he more interested in helping a couple who fit his personal profiling? Who knows, but I didn't get a good feeling at all. I felt as if the store associate preferred to help the other couple because the husband looked more like him. As we proceeded through the rest of the store not one other store associate came up to us and or asked us if we needed any help. We walked the entire store, took us about 30 - 40 minutes. This is the first time I have ever experienced this type of treatment especially in this store. I have spent thousands of dollars with Pottery Barn and we were planning on spending quite a bit that day, but decided against it strictly due to the fact that we were treated so poorly, overlooked by the store associates for reasons I believe were due to the color of our skin. We ended up purchasing a beautiful custom dining table at a local boutique decor store and we couldn't be happier. Maybe things work out for the best. In closing, Pottery Barn, at least this location in Temecula will NEVER have our business again. They seriously need to retrain their associates on better customer service and perhaps include some diversity training. I enjoyed shopping at this location. The showroom isn't too big but it showcased the essentials from office decor to dining, bedroom and baths. I don't recall her name, but we came in Sunday evening to look for some final touches to my office decor. Our clerk was very helpful and patient as we decided. She gave suggestions as well. There is a difference in quality, definitely, in Pottery Barn items. I've gotten vases and floral decor from craft shops to replicate some of the catalog looks and getting to splurge on their cases this visit, I can feel a difference in the heaviness of the vases. Their frame and miscellaneous figurines/office supplies were very concise. I love the clean, bright looks of their white sand silver pieces. They were out of a few of our items we came in to find. I really like this store but beware when you buy furniture. Check the quoted price they print you with the tag on the item. The price we were given was 150 more than the tag and all they could do was state they would give us a refund about a month after we paid the higher price. First of all, I love all of the Pottery Barn Products. I have curtains, pillows, bedding, the Great White and the Sausalito Collection, two Fransisco Dining Tables, six Aaron dining room chairs, the Printers Entertainment unit, Chesapeake Outdoor sectional and table, and various frames, rugs, and accessories to name a few of the items I have purchased over the years. In fact, I loved their products so much that I worked in a store in Los Angeles for quite some time. My point in mentioning all of these details is so that you are aware that I have been a customer of PB for many years, and that I can understand what it's like to be a patron and an associate. Having said that, I have been quite disappointed with the level of customer service at the Temecula location which is the closest to my home. Most of my visits with my husband consist of either no one greeting us at any time of our presence in the store, no available sales associates able to provide assistance, and/or they simply ignore my husband and I until we are at the cash wrap ready to make our purchase, and even that experience is quite robotic and clinical or the associates act like it is a privilege to be in their graces for those few minutes. There was only one experience that we had there that a sales associate was extremely pleasant and helpful, but that was a year ago (2013) during the holidays. I understand that there may be high turn over and/or seasonal employees; however, satisfactory customer should be at least achievable. Hopefully, adjustments can be made to improve so that patronage to this store can increase or at the very least be maintained. The only motivation to make purchases at the Temecula store is due to convenience of location. I feel bad for the potential customers who may go in and leave without making any purchases due to the level of service. On a side note, when we have gone to the Victoria Gardens Store, the Store Manager even remembered us.
