Sunken padding on a chair that was only used about 5 times. You can't even sit comfortably in this chair!

I bought a dining room set with padded chairs a few years ago. Because it's only used at Christmas there is virtually NO wear and tear on the furniture- in fact it looks brand new except for the fact that the padding has completely sunken in. You can't even sit comfortably on the chairs. This is the company's response: "I'm terribly sorry for the trouble with your dining set, and that you feel the cushions on your chairs are low quality. Pottery Barn can take action on any furniture item within a year of purchase for any quality defects, and beyond this period we must consider any issues to be related to normal wear and tear. There are furniture repair services available that can assist with an issue like this, and we do contract with one directly for some of our repair needs. You can find their information at the following link, and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns." Basically they aren't denying their product is crap- and it's up to me to spend money on repairs. Never buy from Pottery Barn!

FIRST OFF DONT GO HERE CORPORATE DOES NOT EVEN Answer their PHONE---what's up with that! Purchased my first LUSH sofa from PB (So I thought), construction of furniture is less than POOR considering the price and the expectation. Sure store is pretty however don't get FOOLED. We are ready for a new sofa it's been only 1.5yrs---NEVER AGAIN--the backs of our legs collapse on the front wood framing below--NO SPRINGS only a weak piece of fabric-Go SOMEWHERE ELSE that offers GREAT Customer SERVICE because there will be scratches after your order is delivered. *** I vividly remember sales associate telling me to turn pillows. My CHEAPER sofa from ROYS Furniture in CHICAGO is better FABRIC is actually VELVET where PB provided really tacky ars crap you would find at a flea market. NEVER AGAIN

Phone call that shows they put me on hold for 45 minutes

I just got off the phone with a woman manager from this location. She was extremely rude and not helpful about a return I want to make from a Christmas gift. She basically told me she didn't know why I was calling her store when the gift was ordering from online. Then she told me I would have to bring it in to see if they could do anything. All of this after I waited for 48 minutes to talk to her!! Unbelievable. I have attached a screenshot of my call which last 52 minutes, 3 of which were talking to an actual person. And no apology for the long wait.

I'm not sure why the photo is sideways but look at the material.

Then we went out in the balcony and sat on the outdoor furniture. It was a lovely end of summer Saturday afternoon and it was so nice to be outside.

First, let me start my review by saying that I have been a happy Crate and Barrel customer for many…read moreyears, going back to their original store on Wells Street in Chicago (yes....I am really that old). Their stores have always offered great design and quality at an affordable price, and I've I've always had great customer service. The issue I am having with Crate and Barrel now is a glitchy transition to Imprint that handles their branded credit card. I first received a digital virtual card and then received the physical credit card. The problem I've been experiencing is syncing the account to access my rewards. I tried to place an online order in early January and saw that I had rewards dollars available but they never appeared on the checkout page. I was logged into both my C&B account and my Imprint account but all I saw was this message: Redeem Reward Dollars Not seeing expected Reward Dollars? Sign into the account associated with your Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® Card. I finally called customer service and I was on a phone call with an agent for close to an hour while he worked to help me. He had to escalate the call to another person who was finally able to resolve the problem. While I was able to redeem my rewards for that purchase, I now see the same thing happening. My Imprint account shows rewards dollars available but my Crate and Barrel account shows nothing. I've read several other negative reviews from customers having similar issues since Imprint took over their credit card. I want to remain a loyal and happy customer but it should not be this difficult to make a purchase.

Sigh. After stalking an asymmetrical mirror on the west elm website that I REALLY want to buy for…read moremy bedroom, I decided to go to the brick and mortar at Oak Brook Mall in hopes of being able to buy said mirror in the store to avoid paying $200 in shipping costs (the mirror was on sale for $99 for context). I was excited to find the mirror I wanted on display in the store when I arrived, but incredibly disappointed to hear I could NOT buy it in the store, but would have to order it online and pay for the shipping. Needless to say, there's no way I'm paying more in shipping than what the mirror is worth, so I was feeling pretty sour. West Elm still has all the pretty things, so I decided to make the drive worth it by browsing. They were having a crazy sale the day I visited, and I was able to pick up three really, really cute ceramic vases for my new house for only $20 (and they were pretty large) so I left feeling slightly less sad. Overall, it seemed like this issue was beyond the sales associate's control and they did their best to help me find some other items during my visit.

SO despite reading all of the horrible reviews, I went ahead and bought their sofa. The couch was…read moreour favorite after testing out over 15 couches. We received it after 3 months. It's the Haywood sectional, has removable cushion covers and comes with pillows. Pros: amazing quality, easy delivery. We upgraded to the memory foam cushions which was worth it for us. Tons of options and really comfortable yet firm and feels durable. Cons: in store staff seem miserable...I was mostly ignored when I walked in, they try to avoid you at all costs, which must be a commission thing. I worked with Diana, who was great, and I'd only ever work with her again. She seemed overly busy, store seems short staffed. Sofa is expensive even after many "discounts" All in all, happy it worked out for us and I do recommend if you're a patient person willing to invest in a sofa. I will keep everyone updated, would love to give this store the benefit of the doubt. Our estimated delivery was 10 weeks (mid December.) and we received in January.

I am happy to say we took delivery of our new sofa and chairs, everything arrived in good condition, delivery went well. Everyone working at the store were friendly and made the experience so much fun. I however did not have to deal with the customer service side of the company so I cannot comment. We will be back to complete other rooms in our home.
