Per the tracking they arrived two days later at 10 a.m. I received a Text from Peabody at 11:30 a.m. the same day alerting me that they were done and would be shipped out the same day. I paid and two day later my boots arrived USPS. They looked great and I wore them the next day to work. I was more than pleased.

My soles were flapping around in the wind, so it was either throw the shoes out and buy a new pair or see if somebody could repair them because they were still in very good condition otherwise. The folks here quoted me $20 to reattach the soles to the shoes and in a week I was back in business. I'm grateful I didn't have to throw them away and could continue to get many more years out of them. Kudos for this craftsman being able to still work his trade in today's economy.

I was looking for a new Vibram heel cap for my boots, he did not have the proper size and it wasn't Vibram. His solution was to add move leather to the heel and then put on a more shallow heel cap. This would be an OK solution, however it would end up costing me TWICE what new heel caps would (about $25). Again, I empathize with the shop owner but I don't want to pay double because he doesn't have sufficient inventory of shoe repair parts. He seemed like a very nice guy that was eager to please, but again I can't pay double the price because he is a nice guy.
