Excellent food but very small for eating in. I suggest taking out and enjoying at home with some vino!

Its a low lit place and what you would expect of a tavern. A nice little bar in the back with football games playing. Not too rowdy so i was able to enjoy my meal peacefully! The staff is very friendly and simply suggest to allow to sit wherever you want. I ordered the wings as an app and french onion soup. 10/10 loved the flavor of both and coulda ate double the amount as the full entree! Price is reasonable no complaints but I can see from other reviews its on the borderline of "pricey". Only complaint from me is that usually for the price, these meal include some french fries but the this restaurant opted to include a bag of potato chips. My cheesesteak hoagie was topped with plenty of meat and tomato/onion, unconventional, but i knew what i was ordering. It coulda used a bit more sauciness but overall was a good satisfying meal. No reason to downgrade the review because of this. Again for me - the apps were the star of the show.

The dining room is plenty large and they had outdoor tables as well. Our server was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. I somehow never got around to writing this review, we were in 2021...eek. I was excited they had Peroni. Solid Italian beer that most places don't carry. It was also around $5 a bottle which isn't bad for import at all. The cheesesteak was not bad, but not great. Large onions just laid on top with American cheese. The roll was unremarkable. I enjoyed the wings but I thought they were heavily overpriced. They have since taken their prices down but a dozen was $17 at the time. It was around a time where there were wing issues as far as distribution, but that was high even for that time. $1.42 per wing is wild. The fries were crisp and tasted good. Not bad, not great. I know a lot of people who absolutely love it here so maybe I'm due to give it another shot and see if this was a day on the lower end of their capabilities.

We were early for our reservation, so the hostess suggested we go to the bar for a drink which was part of our plan. Again, it was evident that they were busy, but no one even looked at us, or made eye contact to even suggest that the intent was to attend to us as soon as they finished their current tasks. As we stood there for a solid 15 minutes, they attended to their regulars and the service bar, but did not acknowledge us. Once our turn finally transpired, we got our drinks, and moments after, we were headed to our table. Our waitress was great which offset the unappealing bar experience. We started with the seafood bisque, muscles, crab parm oyster special, and raw oysters which were great! For my meal, I got the baked crab dish which did have nice pieces of crab meat, but it was bland, and my husband got the steak which was pretty good. We ended with one of their dessert cocktails; we were too full, but they did have a nice dessert selection...... If it wasn't for feeling so awkward while standing on the outskirts of the people seated at the bar and not being acknowledged for quite a while, I may have given one more star. The place is worth a shot though!

Our anniversary dinner at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary! It was an experience,…read morenot just a meal! From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

I would say the high reviews are based on the locals that live in the area. I hate to say it but…read morethere isn't a lot of great food choices when visiting the Poconos. As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

The atmosphere was old-fashioned and a beautiful step back into history. It appeared mostly in good repair and well-kept. The only flaw I noticed in the dining area was the chipping paint next to our table where it rubbed against the wall and the dust cobwebs beneath the little lampshade on the table. We placed our orders and waited approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive at the table. It arrived hot and was very flavorful as well as aesthetically pleasing in its presentation. The waitress was very polite, amicable, and attentive without being overwhelming. She provided us with complimentary samples of cheeses from a local vendor. The women's bathroom is INCREDIBLY CREEPY! It is located next to the bar, where a number of men were seated and the door did not fit the frame properly permitting people to easily look into the one toilet room. I had to stand guard for my daughter and her for me. That left us feeling incredibly vulnerable, anxious, and uncomfortable enough to not want to ever return- which is unfortunate. Had it not been for the vulnerability and insecurity of the bathroom environment experienced by my daughter and I the rating would be higher and I would consider returning. But the whole thing was too uncomfortable to be overlooked.
