Long time customer of over 2 years. Quite frankly never coming back. The service and staff lately have been short, rushed and have messed up two orders. I keep coming back because the wreck- although small got the price is delicious. This evening I attempted to use a reward I had for a free sandwich that I earned on the app. Before entering the store, I read through the conditions which stated I got a free entrée of my choice. I chose to order a BIG sandwich along side an original sandwich. When checking out a very nice staff member stated that I could only get an original size for my free sandwich. I politely explained to them that I checked the offer and it did not state the size of the sandwich I was able to receive. A manager ( blue shirt) was extremely rude and told me he didn't want to waste the sandwich so he would change the price. It was nice but everything about the transaction was nasty. After I paid for the sandwich I had to complete my second order. He was extremely rude and short with me and did not respond to any of my questions. If there is a certain condition when using a free reward, it should be mentioned in the app. read more

I got the grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich regular size it was tiny. had some pre made grilled chicken that tasted kinda old and not fresh. The only way to ensure you get the correct order is to go in and try and shout over the din in person. Who has the time?? My favorite sandwich place. After we moved to WA I was stuck with Subway, Jersey Mike's, and Jimmy John for awhile so I couldn't be happier when they finally opened one location close to work. Store design is the same on all locations. Live music by a solo musician during peak hours (I think I saw Adam Levine playing there a couple of times :) ). I always get the Italian with hot peppers, italian seasoning and oil along with the standard garnish. One of the friendly staffs suggested adding bacon and that took the sandwich to another level, thanks to whoever you are, friendly staff (sorry I didn't get your name), come to think of it what else doesn't go well with bacon? Except ice cream and yogurt to name a few. It's hard for me to order any other sandwiches but I've taken a bite or two of "the wreck" and "pizza sandwich" and they are good as well. If you are on diet cheat day or been working out hard may I suggest the excellent milk shake and cookie to complete your "best sandwich ever" experience. read more

Loud talkers... Please ask employees on register and making sandwiches to wash their hand more often. Working register with gloves and then making sandwiches is unacceptable. Even changing gloves requires the hands to be washed. I believe this is a health department requirement. read more

I will preface with this; I went to this establishment on my birthday so I was a little sensitive to the blunt behavior I had experienced. That being said, it may make my review biased, but I do believe there is validity to some of the things I had experienced. Shortly after we arrived and while what I had thought it appeared to be our review of the menu board a man appeared and shouted at us, "ARE YOU READY TO ORDER?!" My brother stepped forward and ordered quickly. I then stepped up and asked, "can I have sandwich and chips?" After this he barked at me, "PICK TWO!" I was a little confused, because the menu board had said, sandwich, chips and drink. Quickly I responded, "chips?" He then responded impatiently, "PICK TWO" and pointed to the board. I realized he was pointing to a side board where it had listed soup, salads, etc. I assumed that I must have misread the board added a soup, and salad to my order in lieu of my side of choice, chips. At the very end the cashier was completing our order and I had asked to confirm if my sandwich was included in the final total of the food we were purchasing. The cashier obviously was not the one taking my order and was just as confused as I was so I understand her undeniable frustration. She asked in an exasperated tone what I had ordered and I responded, "the italian sandwich." She had went to go to the back and returned apologizing for the mistake. At that time we had voiced our concerns about the employee who took our order who had walked out moments before. I can sympathize how irritating it can be to have a co-worker who has a poor work ethic and to have no right or ability to change the conditions of a working environment, but the apology she had offered seemed very insincere or lacking the initiative to improve our experience by ensuring our order was accurate. We had began to complete our order again and I had said, "and my sandwich as well?" Baffled she said, "oh you wanted the sandwich?" I explained yes, and she returned to the back to begin making my sandwich. As we were concluding the whole ordering process she showed very little remorse for the poor customer service exhibited by her and her co-worker. Was the food worth the lengthy, inadequate level of customer service riddled with mistakes that could have easily resolved? No. That was also not the only the contributing factor, I didn't even mention the unsanitary and poorly stocked (no toilet paper) restrooms. In obviously way too many words I have no plans on ever returning. Would seriously recommend some customer service re-training. read more

Potbelly located in Redmond is a good sandwich shop with chirpy staff. Parking is easy, and there are a lot of seats available. It does get a bit hectic at lunch, which leaves this place a little bit disarray with crumbs and napkins. Other than that, it is pretty tidy. As for the sandwiches, they offer your regulars as well as salad, soup, and shakes. As a vegetarian, I wish sandwich shops would offer more than 1 or 2 veggie sandwiches. I did order a vegetarian (sliced button mushrooms and lots and lots of cheese) sandwich on whole wheat bread. It was toasted, and the cheese was nice and gooey. Then, I got my choice of toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, and some condiments). I also got a regular drink, which made my total around $7. Unfortunately, there was not much "freshly brewed" ice tea left (my cup was 70% full!), and I did not want to bother the staff busy with other customers. I found a table, sat down with my drink and sandwich, and ate quietly. All in all, it was not a bad vegetarian sandwich. Or should I call it a sandwich without meat? (C'mon, Sandwich Shop! Please come up with something more exciting for vegetarians!!) I'll probably go back and try their Mediterranean sandwich to see if it is any good. read more

Walking in, the place seams clean and the staff are nice, however the food is just ok, I got a roast beef with mustard peppers (a must have) and other toppings, it was $5 after tax and honestly not really worth it. My Chef hubby, 2 year old son and I were looking for an affordable GOOD place to eat in Redmond last weekend. I remembered seeing Potbelly and we ended up there thinking it was BBQ - pulled pork-ish. Hubby was delighted at the menu and anyone whose ever lived with/dated or gone out to eat with a Chef knows they are the hardest people to bring out to eat. He LOVED, it talked about it for days. My son's PB&J was really good! My chicken salad sammy was way better than I expected and Chef man LOVED his Wreck with Bacon. We will be back happily. read more

The two stars are for cleanliness. We stopped there for a milkshake on a bike ride along the Burke Gilman Trail, Saturday September 4 about 3:30. Large amounts of garbage spilled around the eating area outside, filthy tables, crows feasting on anything they could get. It was appalling. That location has been getting steadily dirtier but last Saturday was much worse. Management: Get the staff to pick up the garbage and clean the tables - this is Redmond, not Haiti. Have some pride. My husband and I were really wanting a good malt so we decided to head to Potbelly's. Instead of going to our usual one in Bellevue, we thought we'd give another location in this chain a try. We headed out to this one in Redmond on a somewhat rainy and windy weekend lunchtime and it was definitely a popular spot! There was live music inside as well as quite a long line of people wanting sandwiches (and a bunch of people already enjoying theirs!). The quality of the sandwiches was on par with that at the Bellevue location as well as the friendly, chatty service. The downside, though, was that it was obvious that they were under-staffed for the lunch rush that afternoon. One of the employees even commented to hold on with the start of the sandwiches and not to even ask him to make special drinks (aka our malts) because it was so busy. During our time in the line, someone else did show up to help construct sandwiches, but our drinks weren't made until we were at the register which is a little annoying -- it would have been nice to have them ready when we reached the end of our waiting period instead of having to return to the register to get the drinks. We also found the live music to be a bit too loud for us and weren't able to stay in the shop to enjoy our sandwiches. We ended up taking everything to go because it was just too cold to be outside too. Overall, I'm sure it's a good spot. Just a few hiccups. read more

They're quick, convenient, and friendly. Albeit their sandwiches are a little smaller than what I would like, but overall, they make good sandwiches. Each of their sandwiches is fully stuffed with ingredients (as a sandwich should be) and does not get soggy even after a few minutes. Best Italian sub I've gotten from a fast chain sandwich shop. The toasted bread is fluffy on the inside with a thin crunch on the outside (unlike, say, Jimmy Johns, which is way too dense, or Quiznos, which is like slicing the roof of your mouth with a bunch of razor blades). The cookies are great too for sandwich shop cookies. They're a heck of a lot fresher than what you'll find at a place like Subway. But the main reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is because of a wonderful experience I had there a couple weeks ago. I went in one evening and they had a sign on the door saying their oven was down and that they were working to fix it. I went in to wait anyway because I didn't feel like making another stop, and they said they hoped to have it ready in about 20 minutes. They did manage to get it working (it took about as long as they predicted), and once my order was ready, the girl behind the counter (a manager or assistant manager, maybe?) didn't charge me for anything--including the cookies I got with my two sandwiches--because I had to wait to long (despite me saying that I *chose* to wait, not that they *made* me wait). The way they have their pricing set up is unique and a bit odd though: You more or less pick a "basic" sandwich and any additional items cost extra. 5 cents each for lettuce, tomato or onion, and $1 for mayo. You order at the counter (don't forget to order your shake first thing as opposed when you are at the cash register), pick your toppings and then pay. The toasted bread was very tasty and the ingredients were fresh and bountiful. I got a cheese and chicken sandwich with every topping on it. This was one of my favorite sandwich places when I lived in Chicago, and I was SO excited to see one in Redmond. In fact, when I told my husband a Potbelly came to Redmond, he turned around, and left the house- as he was closing the door he goes "text me your order" lol!!! Friendly employees, tasty food, great environment! My husband, dog and I frequent here quite often. We have always had very nice employees who put up with how much extra mayo I request (I even prefer them to put it on the bread before it goes through the oven). When we first visited this Potbelly it felt like 100 degrees outside and in our apartment. We wanted to eat somewhere cool, so we picked this place which is across from our home. I was very nervous about bringing my dog in because I wasn't sure of their policy. We were so hot, though, and I didn't want to leave him in the boiling house, so I brought him in and hoped for the best. They were very nice and even gave him treats! I've never been asked to leave him outside - which is why I come here so often! Their milkshakes and cookies are both super yummy along with their sandwiches.
